Log;

He was wearing a slick black suit and that eyeball tie that Integral loved; the eye was on level with her chest and since it was a projection of Integral, the eye was staring at her chest. When he finished dressing, which took no longer than a thought, moved through the apartment he shared with Integra and towards the door to her bedroom. In truth the "apartment" was a few apartments that the vampire had done creative remodeling on.

Ths space was simply too small to accomodate Integral and their needs. She was used to a manor and as her knight, he was obligated to fulfill her wishes, even the unspoken ones. Smoothing his tie, the vampire rapped knuckles on the door and called out, "Countess? Whenever you are ready we can leave for the restaurant and then the club."

Integral knew, by his toothy grin, Alucard was enjoying her discomfort. Certainly, she had been in direst circumstances – the recent war in London was the worst among them- but in none of those occasions she had bothered to dress up in a not tailored uniform.

She nudged him, irritated by his blasé attitude and walked alone outside the train when the compartments opened. The knight had chosen an empty section of the vehicle in order to avoid the crushing crowds.

“Well? Are you coming?”

The thought of demons did not bother Integral as much the thick atmosphere beneath. It was dark only illuminated by neon lights flickered enough to make her head hurt. She saw stripped faces, a vision of her dying father that made her catch her breath. She took a stepped forward, fearlessly, nausea hit her but she would not give up.

An inching started across her skin, Integral repressed the urge to scratch her skin, and she wanted to not feel that. It was unpleasant, it made her sweat. And the smell, the smoke lingering in the air filled her lungs suddenly, disorienting her further. That was not tobacco for certain.

“Alucard,” she finally called for him to support her weight. The knight had not been expecting this type of entertainment. It seemed unbecoming for her vampire to bring her to this bloody hideout.

Integral frowned, her nostrils exhaled some purple smoke she had been inhaling inwardly. She was extremely dizzy but stiffened herself beside Alucard to remain her lost dignity. Still, the atmosphere made her difficult to even walk on a straight line. How she was supposed to enjoy herself?

“I,” started Integral, clearing her throat. “I think you have a garish taste on selecting places to date. At least I won’t pass out on the gardens or that minuscule cafe.” She sighed, listening absently at the tune of an obscene melody coming from those wildly illuminated night clubs. It sparked lust within her body, one that increased being so near Alucard.

Integral jerked her face away when Alucard leaned to nip. She also struggled to pull herself together and broke her contact with the overly affectionate vampire. It was not like she did not like to be with Alucard but it must be on her terms. Some idiotic lust-spiking tune was not her idea of choice.

“Yes. Only if you assure me my drinks won’t contain any suspicious substance,” agreed Integral, still dazzled but stabilizing herself to walk through the zone. It was difficult to choose a decent spot from her quick survey. They looked equally dreadful. “Well, where?” she asked to Alucard, foolishly trusting his judgment.

Integral glanced at the direction Alucard had pointed with mild skepticism. XXX, now? Dear God, was this a stripper joint? She hoped, for Alucard’s welfare, there would not be that sort of spectacle within.

“All right,” Integral said in resignation and reached for his arm to drag the vampire with her. She had no choice but enter. The knight had given her word and intended to keep it. If the Lord was kind, she would not intoxicate herself with the smoke of the drinks.

Integral snorted and nearly chocked herself with the smoke. He was such a flatterer. Pity she was not going to let him go far that night. The place was not appealing or special. And she held her virtue on grand regard.

“So, Count,” Integral commented, pausing under the threshold to take his arm formally as a pair must. “Lead me in. You are more experienced in bleak lairs than I am.” There was a taunt on her voice, accusing him of perversion.

Integral’s smirk turned into an unpleasant sneer to notice the… atmosphere of the place. It was so filthy, even the floor was slicked. She did not corroborate with what, however. However, she kept a stiff upper lip and followed Alucard through the crushing crowds and accelerated music.

“Perhaps I will. It can’t be worse than this,” Integral informed him, sniffing the air with clear distaste. “My father, though, would love this sort of place, wouldn’t he?”

Integral’s lips turned down on a frown to the very implication her father was into lolitas. She however, allowed Alucard to approach and tease her. She could rebuff his advances at her leisure. Now she had a focus, the knight was able to meld better in the sordid lifestyle.

“I heard about an opera house,” commented Integral, brushing her fingers on his left arm. “That would have been a proper dating place. Better fit for our attires.”

“A haunted opera sounds more fascinating place to hunt than this badly furnished night club,” Integral murmured, flinching. The music was louder than the bloody ticking. She took Alucard’s hand and looked at him with a mild irritated expression. “Can you distract me?” she challenged.

Where was the dancing floor? Everywhere appeared to be filled with… freaks. She did not think they were humans to enjoy themselves there.

Integral was suffocating and suddenly her dress, hell, her skin needed to be shed off. His hands and body, cold was it was, only contributed to the burning. She closed her eyes and listened to the broken melody, without noticing the ticking had vanished completely.

How was she dancing? What was she dancing? Integral felt her body follow the swing as if was natural, provoking fiction between her form with Alucard’s.

[identity profile] steeldame.livejournal.com 2006-05-07 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
And the dance appeared endless, dominating her body as a marionette. It was so pleasant, so blissful after the war and the pain. Integral drew her head closer to his, lips brushing his own. His breath reeked, smelling to blood and raw meat. She was snapped out the thrall thanks to the fetid smell.

Flustered, Integral reminded her own self control and the company she was keeping thus distanced herself, losing the rhythm to swing correctly. “After this dance, we should leave. It’s tiresome to linger,” she commented.

“Not here, servant,” Integral insisted, wrinkling her nose and waving a dismissing hand after the dance ended. “I won’t digest anything served in these garish clubs. I would prefer to finish the date without throwing up.”

Abruptly, she locked her arm with his and smirked broadly. “That small, saccharine Cafe looks far more appealing to request a cup of tea. The worse it could have is sugar, here… I dread to dwell in what they could slip.”

Integral paused shortly after Alucard attempted to take the leadership. He should know better. Eve in the dire conditions, she was a Hellsing and was proud to be his Master in any world they would land.

Shooting him a stern, reproach glare, Integral increased the speed, snatching the dominant position away from the vampire. The atmosphere cleared outside the club and as they distanced from the sights towards the despairing train station and the bone path.

“Imagine if I did drink something here,” mused Integral with mirth, her mood improved to the thought of their departure. “Could you show me the exit, Hermes if I consume meals prepared in the underworld?”
