incomplete;

When; Right now!
Rating; PG to start, I'm guessing...?
Characters; Dark, Wiz, and whoever's willing to help.
Summary; Hiwatari has been wounded, and Daisuke and Dark are attempting to keep him from dying. Dark's taking the initiative to get out into the city and find some help for him.
Log;

Flying over the city was normally relaxing for Dark, but in this case he wasn't doing it for fun or to snatch up another piece of priceless artwork - no, now he was swooping over the cityscape for a sign of someplace or someone, anything at all that he could find that would assist Daisuke and himself in nursing Hiwatari back to health.

There's GOTTA be something, he thought, looking down at the crowds worriedly as Wiz's wings helped him glide. If there isn't, and that kid dies, then... oh god, what would we do then?

His violet eyes cast over the traffic flow, and at yet another simple command, he and Wiz came swooping down into the heart of things, to see if he could get better results.

"...Dai..." A hand shot up, taking hold of the other's arm as his body continued to be racked with torturous agony. For the moment that he hard the melody play it felt as if for that one short moment time had stopped, the pain having been put to ease...

But it had all came crashing back as if the puase of peace had never happened.

Turning his pale gaze to Daisuke, the pain all to apparent and etched on his features, his hand gripped the arm once more. "...Dai...su..." EVen as he spoke, the light was dying in his eyes.

"BOYS DON'T CRY!" Eiko yelled out unaware of the events happening around her, but she was well aware of one thing. And that was that her spell didn't work. There were two options she could have chosen from: 1.) Let him die and then resurrect him later, or 2.) Use the very small amounts of potions and tonics she had brought with her. Eiko was pretty sure they would not be too pleased to allow their friend to die, so Eiko giving her flute a twirl began to play another song.

The sweetness was all the same, but it was more haunting than angelic. The music continued until a figure began to take shape before the dying boy. ‘There’s no way I’m giving up on you…. Not even if you die on me. Grandpa and Mog would never forgive me if I did… I wouldn’t even forgive myself if I did.’

Fading eyes were turning up in weak wonder at the appearing figure. Even as the tinkering notes were echoing in his mind, the hand that gripped Daisuke's arm was slacking. Fingers growing weaker with each passing second they had started their release, his hand now sliding down the arm.

Eyelids drooping still, he had made one last attempt to hold onto him: fingers catching the wrist in one last moment, he tore his dying gaze from the strange entity to see the ruby ones that he come to know and find comfort in seeing. But now... they were glistening with the tears. Tears that were shed over him.

"Don't... cry... because of... me... ...Dai..."

The soft sound of the hand hitting the bed when it had gone limp was all that was heard from him. What life that had remained in his shielded gaze had left, eyelids closing. And from his parted lips came that final breath of air.

"Daisu... ke..."

As the last syllable left Satoshi's chilled lips, Daisuke's head simply dropped forward. The light left his own eyes, and his head slumped to the side as he collapsed onto his knees.

No life in those blue eyes. No life. No anything.

Tears do not even fall.

Daisuke stopped moving, stopped breathing, stopped living.

He was only existing, now. Existing like his friend no longer would.

He died. Eiko looked at her flute bitterly; she would have broken it had it not been a gift she gotten from a dear friend of her's. Looking down at her flute, Eiko didn't know if she really wanted to pick it up again. The was one more spell left for her to try, but did she really want to? It seemed that the boy wanted to die.

"......did he really want to live...or had he given up on life?" Eiko questioned to the two others in the room, her head hung low. "I've got one more spell. A powerful one. It brings back people from the dead, but if he doesn't want to live, then it would be pointless plus it wouldn't work."

She tightened the grip on her flute, her horn flashing an eerie golden light.

Eiko was hesitant. "Are you certain? This spell will take everything I have. Especially since I've cast two before this one." It wasn't like she didn't want to not bring him back, it was just that; Eiko could never bring back anyone that wasn't willing to return. That's why both Mog and her Grandpa stayed where they were.

"It's not like the others before this one I'm about to do were baby spells either, both take a great deal out of me..." the small child paused to make sure she just wasn't blowing smoke when she spoke. "So when they both didn't work. I've got to be a little more careful. I hope you understand...."

"I won't die from this; I'll just be really weak for a very long time." Eiko confessed. The summoner contemplated on a few issues on this matter though. Phoenix could bring back the boy even he was unwilling, but it would mean Eiko would be ask vulnerable as a fly trapped on flypaper, or she could just use her resurrecting spell. It was a tough choice.

Closing emerald eyes, Eiko brought the end of her flute to her forehead and muttered, 'Phoenix...lend me your gracious power...' Then swiftly she shifted the played a few notes on her flute before jutting it into the air above her. A fiery circle appeared beneath her and with a flash of fire and feathers the magnificent Phoenix hovered about her. "Bring this one back." Eiko commanded the giant bird.

The Phoenix let out a fierce cry and flapped its wings unleashing all sorts of unknown magic and other sorts of voodoo onto the corpse. Life and color had returned into the once deceased boy’s cheeks, and with that the Phoenix vanished just as mysteriously and flashy as it had appeared. 'Weak. So weak.' Eiko thought. 'I...need a...nap.....' and she collapsed. This world took a much heavier toll on her body and spirit after summoning Eidolons.
