Log; Ongoing
When; November 11th, lunchtime
Rating; G? PG?
Characters; Shizune {
medic_assistant} & Megumi {
pinkenglishrose}
Summary; Megumi and Shizune meet up to go to lunch after Shizune returns from her vacation at the beach.
Log;
It was almost strange, to be back in the City proper after her trip to the beach. But she was both glad and sad to be back. Glad, because she did miss some of the people here, and sad, because it was back to hiding, back to not speaking with him in public, not acknowledging him in front of someone who might not know. But she pushed those thoughts from her head, coming to a stop outside of Cafe Juliet. She'd told Megumi she'd meet her here, and she was looking forward to it. She hadn't spoken with her in person since the mass exodus, and that had been, for lack of a better word, a sad conversation. She hoped this one would not be.

However, now was not the time for that, and escaping the house while still wondering why Sol had such a nasty smile on his face while chatting, she summoned herself a short distance from Cafe Juliet and walked the way until she caught sight of Shizune.
Instantly, a smile lit her face as she observed her appearance. Not only did Shizune appear to be tanned, but she looked refreshed! So, with a coy little smile, the pink-clad witch snapped her fingers, disappearing from sight, only to appear behind the medic and latched onto her from behind, 'glomping' her as the word went, with a playful laugh.
"Surprise!" she exclaimed, her eyes gittering with mirth before she got off, shaking her head and smiling at her. "Welcme back, Shizune! Look at you! You're beautiful!"

"Megumi!" She smiled, her shriek of surprise turning into a laugh. She grasped the other woman's hands, smiling. "It's good to see you! And thank you." She really was happy. This City had brought her more friends than she could have possibly imagined.
"You don't look half-bad yourself, you know." Shizune said with a smile, looking the other woman over. She'd been a tad worried earlier, with her sickness and all.

A giggle escaped her at the teasing return compliment and she shook her head, leading her friend over to a table and waving over a waiter to take their orders, before she seated herself and looked over at her.
"I do hope you brought pictures, Shizune. I want to hear everything that happened!" a teasing look entered her eyes. "As well as anything interesting~ that may have occured."
no subject
"Mmm, some, ah, interesting things did happen, I suppose..." She said slowly, hiding her face away in the menu. "We, ah, got attacked by one of the forest beasts on the way there, that was, ah, interesting."
no subject
"Being attacked is one part of the fun. Being tended to later is where the entirety of it is." she commented lightly, with a glint of mirth in her eyes.
"You're blushing, Shizune. Something good obviously happened, right? Come on.." she giggled and gave her a wink. "Tell me!"
no subject
"He, ah, we..." She began, voice soft. She didn't want anyone else overhearing. "... talked about... children..." Shizune's gaze lowered. "I can't, well... it would be difficult for me to concieve on my own, but... I didn't even think he'd thought about it." She shifted, still not quite believing they had spoken about it.

Oh, THAT was delightful. The way Shizune had just mentioned concieving on her own made the lady giggle a bit and she had to cover her mouth with a hand. But the fact that Shizune was considering it made Megumi's eyes light up and she shook her head, moving a hand to Shizune's toying with her hair, taking it in her own and giving the other an assuring smile.
"I think if you'd have kids, they'd be beautiful." she commented. Then, giving her hand a squeeze and releasing it, she sat back in her seat with a smile. "I love children. It'll be so nice to see some light and cheer in here for once.." she looked thoughtful then. "Do you suppose the curses will affect them too..?
no subject
"I don't know..." She hadn't thought about that. "I suppose they would but... these new deities seem easier to deal with, in some ways. Perhaps deals could be struck?" That would be horrid, if it worked that way.
"But thank you, Megumi." She settled into her seat. "And yourself... your, ah, sickness? Have you ruled out, ahem, other possibilities?"
no subject
It was when she asked about her sickness that Megumi sighed and moved a hand to touch back her hair, shaking her head. "I still think it's the flu.." she commented. Then, with a sheepish smile, she added, "It's impossile for me to tell, especially when I can't use my powers on myself when I'm sick."
Looking up at Shizune, she chuckled. "You might have to check me up when you can. I've never had a flu last this long."
no subject
"I can run a check up for you, of course." She nodded, smiling. "It would be my pleasure." She looked away for a moment when the waiter returned with their food, thanking the man and picking up her utensils. She'd learned to use the western style cookware with a minimum of difficulty after their first meeting. She had ordered a similar meal, a sub sandwich and a salad, and it look crisp. Refreshing.
"I do love the food here." She commented with a smile.
