Summary; Glinda calls Orochimaru out, after having made a deal with him. If she can kill him, he will restore Kabuto's memories.
Log;
Orochimaru walked up to the fountain, glancing into its waters before looking around for the foolish woman who had said she would kill him. Even thinking about it was enough to make him laugh; she probably wasn’t even worth the effort. Though, whether she was worth the effort or not was not the issue, he was sending a message to the Konoha ninja and all of their friends.
Glinda was shaking as she approached the fountain, though she wasn’t sure if it was from fear or anger. Maybe I acted a little rashly, she thought. But she had reached to point of no return and tried to keep reminding herself that this was all for Shizune. She couldn’t bear to watch the woman suffer the way she had back in Oz. It was no picnic having the man you love snatched from you.
As she drew nearer to the fountain, she managed to catch a glimpse of Orochimaru’s face. This was the first time she would meet, let alone see him. His snakelike features surprised her at first, reminding her of the Animals in Oz.
Orochimaru caught sight of the woman who had called him out. “Ah, if it isn’t the princess. I’m afraid didn’t catch your name when we spoke earlier, and it would not be polite to kill you without knowing it.” He smirked, looking her over; blonde hair, frilly dress, a wand of all things. Just looking at her he could tell this woman was not very bright.
“Glinda the Good. Please, call me Glinda. I’ll allow you that one last courtesy, before you die. And I am a witch, not a princess.” Glinda knew she didn’t look very intimidating, but she couldn’t really help it.
“My apologies, Glinda. Well, you called me out here so I will allow you to make the first move. Besides, since we are being courteous, ladies first would be the rule anyway.” He casually folded his arms across his chest, golden eyes watching every move the woman made, not a thing going unnoticed. “If you do manage to kill me, when the City brings me back, I will restore Kabuto kun’s memories.”
“Well, at least they will have some time to be together. Maybe next time we can strike a better deal. One that works in permanent favour for the two. Ladies first, it is, then?” Glinda contemplated her next action. Calling this man out was a bit rash. She still hadn’t figured out the glitches in her magic since she arrived. The only thing she could think to do was to go for the quickest kill she knew. It was something Madame Morrible had taught her in Shiz, but it was something she had yet to test. She gestured slightly with her wand. The thing she carried was mainly for show, but this time, it played a part in the spell. And suddenly, the man was gone, vanished before her eyes. Had it worked that well?
“That’s all you’ve got?” Orochimaru whispered into Glinda’s ear, he had moved to stand behind her, using a boost of chakara to speed up, though it had been a wasted effort. He had a kunai pressed to her throat. “Too bad, and here I was actually expecting something.” He drew the kunai across her skin severing both arteries before he let her drop to the ground.
Glinda lie there for a few moments and felt herself fading. And all she could think was I’m sorry Shizune; I tried…
Orochimaru watched the light fade from the woman’s eyes, she was bleeding all over the sidewalk. Using one foot, he pushed her body into the fountain. She could consider it a small mercy, she would bleed out that much quicker in the water.
With that he walked off just as casually has he had arrived.
(ooc:
Glinda-mun: I cried at the end...;_; I knew she was going to die, but you get a little attatched, y'know?
Oro mun: I still can't believe you did that either, sorry I laughed... well not really, but you know what I mean ♥
Glinda-mun: Well, you have to give Glinda an A for effort, but a big ass F FOR FAIL. ♥
Oro mun: Well at least it was only her throat, so she'll be ready for her date with Havoc in a week... I just realized that I now have all of the Naruto characters, Bleach, and have added FMA to the list of "Hate Orochimaru".
Glinda-mun: Well, I guess I owe you a thanks for going easy on her XD She's gonna be a little more wary now.)
