log; ongoing
When; After the snowball fight, December 9th
Rating; PG, just to be safe.
Characters; Cobray
gunofdis and Lyra
lyra_of_dust
Summary; After applying to Fuyu's dating service, both randomly end up paired together. Since this is blind, Lyra nor Cobray know who they are going to meet. This may end up being a break in Cobray's own overly serious personality and the correct injection of playfulness he needs.
Log; Cobray was ready. Of course he arrived at the fountain first. He never had to walk anywhere he needed to go, and he had the punctuality of a military man. He sat down on the edge of the fountain, and waiting. Of course, he was nervous. Dating wasn't his thing. As a matter of fact, he never had a date before. This was all so new to him.

"How'd you do that?" she shouted.

"It's a secret, but perhaps I could show you. But first..."
Cobray pointed upwards. A large slab of snow was floating over Lyra's head. Cobray released it and it dropped down toward her head.

Cobray was recently getting into practical jokes. He thought that this could help push his own career in that area further.

In her twelve years of life, Lyra had already gotten into quite a lot of mischief. Now she was ready to get into more.

Cobray looked around and found a desirable spot.
"To get where I need to show you, we are going to have to take a special way. It may be a little disorienting, since I'm almost 100% positive that this is your first time doing this, so please hold on to my hand."
Cobray offered his right hand out to her.

Lyra looked at him warily, then grabbed his hand tightly, holding Pantalaimon to her chest with the other.

"All you have to do is step forward."
Cobray took a step forward and vanished but his hand and arm was still floating in mid-air, holding onto Lyra's hand.

"From here, you can drop snow on people's heads, so I figured it might be more interesting up here than down there. So about this. I assume you have some source of power. Telekinesis, mana, prana, chakra, ki? You do have a familiar that is more intelligent that most people, so I'm pretty sure there is some source of power involved."

"You mean Dust? It's a kind of elementary particle- it's conciousness. It's what Pan's made out of- it's made when matter becomes aware of itself, and it's attracted to concious beings an the stuff they make. Anyway, most people's dæmons are about as smart as they are. What's a familiar?"

Pantalaimon nodded his head, "Of course I'll help her."

Cobray explained, pointing and motioning along with his speech.

Cobray made a snowball and threw it in the air. The snowball swirled around in many directions before rocketing into a innocent bystander's head.

To his surprise however, it was working. She could move the snow. She was a prodigy, he guessed.

"Gah! Let me try again." This time, she was able to drop it off the side of the building, and was rewarded with a loud yelp a few seconds later.
"You have to make your mind go a certain way... I think I can do this!" Lyra grinned.

"As expected of the one paired with me on a date. However, I think this is more Pan's doing," Cobray teased, throwing a snowball at her to distract her.

Lyra dodged the snowball by sprawling in the snow, before using her hands to toss one at him.

"How would you like to jump off a building and survive? Have you ever done that before?"
