Log Ongoing - Part 2!
When; Friday, after the snowball fight.
Rating; PG, I'm assuming?
Characters; Kitty (
kittyjones), Sango (
boomerang_girl), Miroku (
hottesthoushi)
Summary; Miroku takes Kitty back to his apartment to spend time with Sango and warm up after being assaulted with snow by his pretend-sister because she kind of sucks real bad.
Log;
Miroku made his way up to the apartment he shared with Sango, Kitty in tow, still feeling slightly embarassed. The fact that they had ended up lying there like that was one thing. The fact that he had reacted the way he did was another entirely. He knew he should've felt more ashamed about it, but darn it, it was just embarassing that he'd gotten so flustered! He was supposed to be collected all of the time, calm and able to deal with... perverse things. This wasn't even anywhere near really perverse, and still...! How stupid. He might just have to blame that blush on the cold, to save face.
He did, however, brighten considerably when they reached the door to the apartment and he turned the knob to let himself in. "Sango?" he called, stepping inside. The warmth of his home made him smile, as his fingers and face were still numb from creating his fantastic, best-in-the-world snow octopus.

But like Miroku, she cheered up as they got to the flat, and positively beamed when she caught sight of Sango when the door was opened, a cheerful wave accompanying a quick hello of greeting.
"Yes, errr, quite cold," a sheepish nod of agreement was given, "but that's rather my own fault. Both our faults. Some snow, errr, sort of ended up down our backs. Heh," she laughed nervously, "can't think how that happened."

"Well, come in and have a seat. I'm making tea, if you'd like any."

Grinning, she nodded in agreement with Sango. "Indeed. We'll all keep our fingers crossed for a speedy recovery. And thank you, tea would be lovely!" Stepping forward, Kitty was very grateful she'd already dried off enough to not drip icy water on the floor.

"Kitty-san, please, don't spit on my snow octopus's honor," he said. "Honestly, blaming him for your temper..." He waved his hand at her, before turning his attention back to Sango.
"Do you like my hair~?" he asked, with the air of a child showing off a new drawing or craft he had just made himself.

His grip loosened, then, and she was brought another question before an answer. She stared at him for a moment, as if she really didn't know what to say. And, really, she didn't know at all, "Um... It's nice, I suppose." Really, that was such a womanly thing to ask; the corner of her mouth turned up at that thought.

Kitty nodded, unable to stop herself grinning in spite of herself as she spoke in a stage whisper to Sango. "It was terrible. He made a... it was really terrible. Frightening. Emotionally scarring. I bet some poor little squirrel will come across it in the middle of the night and drop down dead from horror."

He began to play with Sango's hair absently and shot Kitty a look. "The octopus was beautiful. A work of art. Whatever squirrel finds it may drop dead from pure awe at seeing such a thing. In fact, I'm a little jealous of that octopus's glory, myself."

She was tempted to continue in a little tirade about everything that had been wrong with his snowman (beginning with the fact that snowmen weren't even meant to have legs, let alone eight of them), but Sango summed it all up rather nicely. "Yes. Exactly what I was thinking. You have a way with words that can't be matched, Sango."
Still smiling, she followed Sango into the kitchen, pausing on the way to elbow Miroku lightly and mutter something that sounded like "Squirrel Killer".

When Kitty elbowed him he pushed her back playfully. "I noticed eventually. You should've said something... ...Wait, squirrel killer?!"

She pulled out three tea-cups, purchased from a store in town that sold home-wares, and gave each a healthy dose of tea leaves and hot water. Turning back in direction of her bickering betrothed and friend, she smiled once again, "Would either of you like anything to eat, as well?"
no subject
"I'm fine, honestly," she smiled in thanks, before adding, "although I wouldn't be surprised if Miroku wanted octopus. D'you need any help with that? It's been ages since I've seen someone make proper tea with leaves!"
no subject
"Have you eaten anything today, Sango?"
no subject
She set the cups aside to steep for a moment, leaning her elbows on the counter and looking to Miroku as he questioned her in return for her last question. "I have eaten, yes. I just wasn't sure if you had."

Mentally she slapped herself for being such an idiot. Feudal Japan probably did not have teabags. "You, err... well, you use a kettle. And a teabag. Well, the bag is actually filled with tea leaves, I suppose, but it's different." It was a very articulate explanation, if she did say so herself. Then, brightening considerably, she added, "I'll get you some Earl Grey for Christmas!"
no subject
"In a bag?" he asked, looking confused. "That's kind of strange."
He turned his gaze to Sango, then kissed the top of her head. "Okay," he said. "Just so long as you ate."
no subject
"So, you two had fun in the snow, then?" She was a little lost on conversation, actually, so she'd let them do the talking.
no subject
Fun in the snow? Well, that was one way of putting it. "We had a great time, yes! It doesn't show any signs of letting up, so you should come out too one of these days, Sango! You'd beat Miroku at a snowball fight in any case," she smirked a little, "he's pretty pathetic when it comes to being cold."
no subject
"Yes!" He nodded to Kitty's suggestion. "Please, come with us next time, Sango. And I'm not that bad about the cold."

Craning her head a bit over the counter to inspect the tea cups, she then gestured towards them vaguely. "Help yourselves, please."
no subject
At Sango's invitation she reached for a cup of tea, murmuring her grateful thanks as it began to warm her still-icy hands. "We'll have a proper snow fight soon, then. Girls versus boys..." Kitty stopped herself, before giving a broad smirking, "Sorry, boy. Singular. Think he'll be able to beat us when it's two against one, Sango?"
no subject
He took a sip, then looked at Kitty with his eyebrows raised. "Maybe not if you had Sango on your team... Would Nathaniel join us?"
