Summary; Henry and Alessa punish a monster whose punishment is long overdue.
Log;
A somber atmosphere had fallen over the manor. The absence of Vincent had a more profound affect on the others than anyone was willing to admit, and said atmosphere was beginning to agitate and affect Alessa. Her experience as a child again brought back old fears and dread that she thought was dead and gone forever, but it had returned. Instead of cowering in fear like she had before, she was determined to take care of this nuisance once and for all.
Hands clenched as she leant against the wall, awaiting Henry's reassuring presence. This wasn't going to be pretty. Bad memories would be prominent, and actually confronting Colin wasn't something she ever thought that she would do. But she had to do it, not only for herself, but to protect her future children.
Steps resounded down the hallway, and Alessa could feel the familiar burn of the mark upon her forehead. "Henry..?" She said, quietly, waiting expectantly.

"Are you ready to go, sweetheart?" he asked as he walked towards her. He placed a hand softly on her shoulder and kissed her forehead, on the mark.

"Yeah, I think so," she told him, releasing him only to link hands with his. "Let's go." She opened the door that led from the manor to the Underground. The way was not lighted, and the steps disappeared into a thick blackness. Alessa reached out with her mind, and a ways down, the flickering of a torch could be seen suddenly. A draft of cold air filtered up to them, and the shuffling of the pets - or monsters, depending on how one looked at it - could be heard down below.
With a sigh, Alessa descended the steps, Henry close behind her, their way now lighted with torches. The walls churned with the bronze infection that covered the Underground; the monsters of Alessa's mind found comfort in rust. It was better to keep than happy than to treat them badly. They were simple-minded creatures, and the smallest wrong move could result in terrible consequences.

The scratching little noises that the monsters made seemed to need to continue uninterrupted, so he didn't speak aloud. This is nice, here. He leaned over and kissed her cheek softly. What we're going to do will be good, for you and me. It's not like we need a pact to keep our daughter safe, but...it doesn't hurt to formalize it, right? Honestly, he wanted Colin destroyed, too. He'd wanted it for a long time, but he knew that was Alessa's decision to make. He knows that that's a bit selish of him, but he couldn't stand having this reminder of what hurt her the most around.
He presses his hand against her hair, threading his fingers through it and drawing it out to fall in pieces in the light. You're very beautiful, he says to her seriously. You've grown past that thing that hurt you so badly...

Alessa nodded at Henry's statement about the pact. This was as formal as it could get. She didn't want the bastard looking, let alone touching, her daughter or anyone else. Who knew how many children of the City he had terrorized just by being here? Who knew how many little girls he had cornered during the curses, when no one was there to keep an eye on him or tell him to behave? None at all, perhaps, but one could never be too cautious. Not when it came to a man who, when he had been human, had touched little girls where they were not meant to be touched, not yet.
I know I have, she murmured, sighing in contentment at the feel of his fingers in her hair. You helped...a lot. I used to be so scared of men, but...you were different. You weren't...like him. She turned to him, blue eyes whispering echoes of love. Henry meant a lot to her, and if anything happened to him...oh, her vengeance would be unmerciful.
Alessa stopped abruptly, aware of the distorted shape in the shadows. She recoiled inwardly at being in Colin's presence, but if they were going to punish him, they would have to face him. There is a door down that corridor over there, she told Henry, her head motioning to the right, her grip on his hand tightening. We can do it in that room. I don't want to frighten any of the good children. You understand, right?

He stopped near the doorway, staring at the creature. He slid his sword out of its case slowly. He'd had time to become comfortable with it. Come here, he told this thing that once was Colin. It was not a request.

Broken words and impressions of images onslaughted Alessa's mind as Colin attempted to communicate with the two. She immediately threw up her mental guard as a flash of herself as a frightened child reached her from the muddled bits of his consciousness.
"Bastard," she hissed, revolted that Colin still remembered her, and knew her for what she was. This way, she told the monster curtly, opening the door and allowing the monster to drag himself forward, his breath hitching as he passed his "mother" and Brother Serpent.

He'd reacted badly when Colin touched their minds. Only a slight twitch of the blade, but he had instinctively reached out and twisted with his mind. He didn't really know much about how to block himself away from the creatures. The images made him angry and he lashed out with some of his own. Disgusting creature...at least this settled whether there was still anything of him left. They'd have to rectify that.
He watched with cold, glinting eyes as the creature made its way into the room. He walked in after it and held the door open for Alessa. He would let her lead- this is for her, after all. He's just here to witness and support.

"Colin. I doubt you know why you're here, so I will tell you," Alessa began, circling the monster crouched on the floor, her blue eyes narrowing. "A very long time ago, you worked as a janitor at Midwich Elementary School."
At the name of the school, the monster grinned, his rotten teeth showing. LiTtlE oNeS gIrLs BoYs pReTtY wAnT tO ToUcH came the mangled message to the two.
He remembers, Henry, Alessa said to Henry, her jaw tightening. All the more reason to kill him.

Through the anger rolling in his mind, he said back, Let's start, before I can't hold it in...I'll let you decide the first blow.
"Bastard," escaped from his lips. He could hardly look at this disgusting thing. It would be much nicer split open.

Colin's black tongue reached out from in between his lips, and Alessa couldn't help but think that it was almost like a disgusting slug. WaNt To TaStE mOtHeR...lIkE bEfOrE came another mangled message.
"Fuck you," she whispered, reaching out and promptly ripping the monster's tongue out of his mouth. Black blood poured from his wound, and the sound of his screams filled the room.
"That was for all of the children you've touched or ever THOUGHT of touching!" Alessa screamed at him, her palms pressed to the floor. Black matter churned from the floor and rose up to wrap around Colin's neck, lifting him up.
"Give me your sword, Henry," she growled, anger overcoming her.
