Log: Ongoing
When; Dawn of a day just after Rosiel’s arrival, when wasn’t a special date (no haru attack, haiku, door problem, heat or visits to the Cathedral).
Rating; PG/PG-13?
Characters; Rosiel (
r_o_s_i_e_l), Alexiel (
againstgod), Lucifer (
alexielobsessed), Cain Knightlord (
evilbeneath), Gabriel/Jibrielle (
bytwonames), Esther Blanchett (
gentlehearted) & anyone who wants to join (preferably from Trinity Blood or Angel Sanctuary).
Summary; The Twins met at last. Much angst, jealousy, tears and falling feathers.
Log;
It was early or late, depending how people measured time. They would attract less attention if they met at dawn. Thus, when the darkness was fading and the first sunlight hit the rooftop, Alexiel met with her companions to adjourn in direction of the Cathedral.
The lights of the City never dimmed, much unlike that coming from the stars above. They were less bright when contrasting on the pink and orange hues that replaced the deep blue that had marked the night. The air was chilly yet she did not feel cold, even with her thin cloak covering her and concealing her features.
Rosiel was everything to her. The climate, the city and the lights above meant nothing when came to her brother. Even those beside her.
He was there, so close, at her mere reach. Alexiel speeded the pace, wordlessly leaving the men’s side. Thousands of things troubled her thoughts, millions of things she wanted to say to her brother, do when she saw him. The anxiety increased with the damn ticking of the carousel; it was the first time it bothered her.
Alexiel controlled her feelings and paused, looking over her shoulder to wait for Cain and Lucifer. Men. They were so slow. But in their company she would not hear the ticking.

Only her brother mattered.
“Stay here, please,” requested Alexiel to the two men, willing three of her wings away in a storm of white feathers. A real, divine mess to sweep off later by the inhabitants of the Cathedral. “Ask Gabriel the same. I need privacy.” She turned and approached, looking up the Dome, flying above with her original pair. The extra one always disturbed her and she did not wish to upset her brother.
All her wings vanished once she located herself on the roof. Alexiel surveyed the gothic structure with mild interest. Mosaics. The Dome was filled with precious multicoloured mosaics with incrusted gems within. It was lovely. No wonder Rosiel liked it.
“Brother?” she queried, anxiety clear in her voice.
In her emotional state, Alexiel hardly could stand a moment more without her twin on her arms.
[[OOC: Okay, here's the deal. Lucifer/Cain/Gabriel can keep taking turns and playing. Alexiel&Rosiel will be up for now thus I must wait for Rosiel's tag]].

Upper lip curling back, eh sneered as he perched on the Cathedral. "Pity Rosiel likes this peice of trash. I would prefer to burn it to the ground and piss in the ashes."

Cain raised an eyebrow at Lucifer’s statement. Trust the devil to hate anything holy. “I do not think the building here will remain destroyed permanently, Mister Lucifer. I read that a few people tried, only to see that the walls reappeared.” Not that he was not going to stand idly by while the other did decide to raze it down.

Keeping as quiet as possible, she tiptoed around the cathedral and didn't see anyone. Curious as ever, she decided to peek out the large front doors of the church. Needless to say, what she saw surprised her more than a little. Innocent blue eyes widened as she stood in the doorway, looking at the figures before her. "H-hello," she managed to say, her politeness edging it's way through her shock.

“Good morning, sister,” the blond Crusnik said, giving her a smile. “I am sorry for disturbing your rest so early in the morning.”

"You're Cain," she said quietly, eyes still wide as saucers. Abel's twin brother. He had to be, there was so question about it. The anxiety Esther was already feeling upped a few notches. From what she knew, Cain had stolen Lilith's nanomachines and killed her long ago. Abel hated him and he usually wasn't mentioned. "You actually came," she added.

“I am honored that you have heard of me, young lady. No doubt you have heard of me from Lilith or Abel, but I am afraid I have not caught your name,” Cain said silkily, offering his hand to the girl. Of course he knew her, but where was the fun in telling her that? It is more enjoyable to learn about others on his own. “Of course I did. I promised Alexiel that I would accompany her after all. There is nothing to worry about, I am not here to visit my dear brother today.”

"I'm Esther Blanchett," she replied, chewing on her bottom lip nervously. "You're really not going to hurt them? Father Nightroad and Lilith and... Ion, they're my friends," Esther added softly, twisting the sleeves of her gown anxiously.

“But do tell me, how is Abel doing so far?” Cain asked. Though he could easily ask Eisendame, he would rather hear it from someone that is directly in contact with his twin day in, day out.

"He's... fine. Happier with Lilith here," she replied warily, trying to calm her nerves a bit. She had been in worse situations. Or at least more life threatening, and Cain was making no moves to harm her. In fact, he was being very polite.
Cocking her head to the side, she remembered something suddenly. "You know Dietrich, don't you? He works for you," she murmured, not frowning but looking up at Cain thoughtfully.

"Aren't you an innocent little thing. A nun? Pity your God is dead." Lucifer replied amusedly.

"You're here too?" she stared, pushing a stray lock of red hair from her eyes and watching Lucifer carefully.

And reached out, stroking her cheek almost tenderly, "Dated artifacts like that boy you are with. Do you really think it would work? Would his touches be so tender, his words so kind when you are old and wrinkled and fat?"

"Brother..."
Sister...? Alexiel?
An overwhelming sense of presence has suddenly befallen the cold, hard walls of the Cathedral's tower.
Rosiel felt a sudden life force rushing through his veins. Veins that can be seen prominently on his arms and legs, albeit the ones on his face are slowly disappearing. Such is an affliction he has been bearing for quite a while... We all degenerate.
"Brother?"
It's unmistakeable. His sister is beckoning to him, and he can feel it all over his soul, an inexplicable sensation of the bond he has with his Twin Sister. He was, after all a part of her, from whence he was born as a lump of flesh... I was God's excrement.
"Are you here, finally?"
Three, glorious, wings slowly spread themselves as Rosiel asked these words. His wings, scintillating, though the vines of decay has tainted it. Feathers started to fall from above, the cathedral Feathers that symbolise the irony of himself, for some are beautiful... while some are dull, ugly and rotting. Am I truly healing?

“Rosiel?!” she exclaimed again, more insistence, her voice a tad agitated. Then, she saw him. Her own three wings opened again, pushing her forward. Rosiel was there, her vision grew blurry. Her brother was with her finally.
Arms spread, Alexiel embraced the Inorganic Angel, uncaring for the degenerating parts. Her arms were warm and soft; she buried her face on his hair as her fingers caressed his strands in affection.
“My brother,” she told him in a whisper, confirming what he had wanted to hear during all his existence. “I love you.”

Could it be? Was it a mirage, like an oasis appearing in the middle of a desert that was his mind. He could well be dying and rotting, and this is the apparition that his mind chose to have before he finally passes away.
"I do not want you to see me like this, Sister", he said as he felt the unmistakeable warmth and spiritual familiarity with the soft arms that were embracing him. I remember you so clearly, Sister like a mirror... of me. Your eyes look at me, as if to look at nobody but myself, realising I am alone.
"I don't want to be without your love, Sister" Rosiel looked up at the figure of his twin, though, in shame, he looked away again.

“You are beautiful to me brother,” she said, attempting to soothe his pain and shame. “We can live in the City now, fly through the sky together. Or visit the Gardens. You will love them.”
Lowering her eyelids, Alexiel closed her eyes, holding her brother tightly against herself. She had to repress the urge to shed tears of joy for this chance to find Rosiel again, but she refrained. He needed her smile not her weeping. He had only saw her depressed or unemotional and never smiling at him.

These words are echoing through his entire being. Such a word has produced no satisfaction throughout his existence... not until now that the person he longed to hear it from the most, has said it.
"Am I going insane? Truly? Sister?"
He touched her neck lightly, and traced her throat with his long, delicate fingers. His nails barely scratching the holy flesh.
Together.
He knew that the experience was real, and that he was not dreaming it all, though he won't be surprised if it were a dream. It was everything he ever wanted, to be loved and praised by his own twin sister, Alexiel. Her smile was like breath of fresh air into a world in which he only breathes the foul air of his own decay.
Will I ever be healed?

Joy.
She was happy. For the first time since she was Created, Alexiel was truly happy. As long she could keep Rosiel content near her side, she would retain it.
“We will find a way to heal you,” Alexiel commented. “I can use the power the Adam Kadmon bestowed me if the City itself doesn’t heal you, brother.” She would hate to use such power but she would do anything for her twin, even distasteful acts like those.

He knows that he may never escape this city, but if there is a heaven here, he wanted to know. There is something very imminent with the ticking of the clock... an End. Everything ends... not even God was eternal.
"I want to see heaven with you, when we are both together and unbounded by God's cruel chains. I want to see it when I know you truly love me."
Unpleasant memories of his ill-fated life haunted him, yet he tried to fight them, learning from his mistakes. His heart, that was once taken away, seems to have returned. His body, however, felt better than ever. It seems to be healing itself. Perhaps the closeness of his sister aided it? Or perhaps the mystery that is behind this strange universe.
"Where will we go, Sister?"

“We are in Heaven,” she told him, caressing his hand lightly, squeezing it then. “Heaven isn’t the place we were born. We suffered thus is Hell to me. Heaven exists in our heart, in the place we are happy and together finally. This City is our Heaven.”
She inhaled deeply, glancing at their feathers fluttering above their heads. The sun painted them golden. “We have time, Rosiel. If the ticking bothered you, it will be gone when you are beside someone. It shouldn’t irritate you. Time passes, it simply means that, the fact time exists and we have plenty of it ahead.”
no subject
"There is no time. All of these, will end. Soon".
But even if it all ends, Rosiel felt happier at that very moment, being embraced around Alexiel's arms. He knows he can never get out of this city, but his sister can.
"Please sister, stay with me." He said softly.

“There is time,” she reassured him softly, standing up and offering her hand to aid him arise. “Where is Lailah? Has she allowed you some privacy?” Alexiel asked amused. “Or have you given her some sleeping pill?”

Rosiel turned his back, freeing himself of his sister's embrace... and the moment this happened, he felt himself going back to the reality that is this place, though he is in such a euphoric state, he managed to shake off such thoughts.
"Lailah, that poor, lonely soul. I am surprised she isn't in a catatonic state yet, After all that." Rosiel said, laughing gently as he dances around bright, cathedral being illuminated by the exceptionally sunny day.
