Log;
Kakuzu sat on the wooden platform he had built near the northern shore of the City's Lake, his legs crossed beneath him as he channeled chakra through his veins and into the base of his palms. The ninjutsu he was about to pull off was a minor one, in practice, but using a flame manipulation on such a large level would be rather tiring -- not to mention dangerous -- so readiness would be paramount to his and everyone else's safety. It didn't take long for him to feel comfortable with the level of control he had, and it took even less for him to controt his hands through the lengthy series of handseals that would complete the ninjutsu;
Dragon, Tiger, Monkey, Dragon, Rooster, Bird, Ram, Tiger, Ox, Tiger, Monkey, Bird, Tiger, his hands flashing in front of him so quick that, had he been human, they would have broke.
Once he was done, he leaned back and let out a sigh, his breath turning the air in front of him into heat-haze before the first fireball that had been building in his throat rocketed out, screaming high into the air and hanging for a moment, frozen there. Another three followed the first, each one hanging like a miniature star that lit the entirity of the Lake before Kakuzu finished the ninjutsu with its final seal:
Dragon.
Each of the fireballs seemed to
shudder, for a moment, before they began to unwrap and twist into the specific characters that would (in myth) help the dead return to their homeland. Kakuzu admired his handiwork when he was finished, a slow smile spreading across his face as he lay back against the solidness of the platform beneath him.
'
Ashes,' he thought, closing his eyes as the scent of burning...something filtered in through his nostrils. '
to ashes.'
'
Rest in peace, Father.'
