LOG; on-going
When; Jan 6th
Rating; PG? PG-13?
Characters; Jyabura [
maten_rou] and Robin [
blackhibiscus]
Summary; A lot of stuff has been going on for the past 24 hours and both need to talk about it.
Log;
Robin had lost count of the times she'd been involved in any kind of drama since her arrival in the City; but according to others, she had always brought bad luck wherever she went. Maybe that also worked in the City, who knows.
When she reached the carousel, she quickly scanned the crowd for Jyabura, but he was nowhere to be found. She sighed and waited silently while staring at the ground, musing about what the future could bring.

Silently he almost sneaked upon her and put his hand on her back carefully. "Too crowded place for heavy discussions" he said briefly and started to walk in any random direction that was far away enough from apartment 9, his hand still on her back. "So, things are getting out of hand" he said after a while in a silent tone. There were too many people getting involved in that thing all of a sudden. "And by that, I mean our hands."
no subject
"I assume you mean that too many people know about us right now." she said while looking straight ahead of her. "Or are you talking about the arrival of your comrade?"
no subject
"You mean Kaku? He won't harm you." he said certainly. "Still, keep being cautious towards him. But I think if your cook keeps badmouthing CP9 like that, he will end up hurt. By both the giraffe and the cat." he added. He hated that fucking cook for many reasons, but if Kaku and Lucci killed him, this wouldn't improve the situation at all.

"I already told Cook-san not to interfere and I gave my captain the same message. They told me that they won't meddle with this until I get hurt, which I think," she said with some empathy, "will never happen. I can't keep them from telling things to other people, though."

He directed her towards a less crowded part of the City, but still with no actual aim. Maybe taking a random walk was just the right thing. "I don't care about anyone but this cook of yours. The other two had no business with me, and I'll be glad if things keep going like that. Still, if your cook is still offended that I couldn't gain him the peace he wanted between our groups, he shouldn't fuck things up that way. You all have reasons to hate us, but making other people hate us doesn't make anything better." Well, it seemed like he had to tell that cook by himself, maybe he'd get it then. That fucking idiot.
"Did you tell anyone else beside your nakama? I'm getting the feeling too many people aside our parties are getting involved and I don't like it."

"As for Cook-san... He won't interfere until I'm in trouble. If he does, I will definitely talk to him" Robin didn't want to start a fight between her and her crew mates, but if it was going to be that way... so be it. She knew that they'd forgive her, no matter what; it was also for their sakes, after all.
"Yes, I told Isane. She asked me a lot about CP9 because of the things she heard about Kaku from Cook-san. She also knows I'm pregnant and she'll be checking up on me every once in a while, she's some sort of doctor after all." she said with a smile; even if she didn't know Isane for a very long time now, she trusted the girl. "But Naoto also knows, but she says that you told her. Why did you do that? She's one of the last persons who should know."

Jyabura trembled when he heard the name 'Isane'. Why the hell? She had good reasons to be distrustful towards both Kaku and him, especially now that Kaku had fucked it up with his stupied lies. Still, there were so many excellent medics in the City and it just had to be the girl that was getting involved into the whole trouble. Awesome. "That's good to hear. I liked her from the very beginning. Still, I'll need to clear up things with her. Enough with the rumour mill already."
He gave her a confused look. "I didn't tell her! She found it out by herself. She may have a horrible taste in men, but she's not stupid." he admitted. He liked Naoto from the very first moment just like he liked Isane (maybe for the same reasons) and felt sorry to involve her in all that. But as Lucci's girlfriend that was inevitable.

"I told her everything I know about CP9, though. She seemed... desperate and I wanted to help her." Robin admitted, suddenly feeling uncomfortable. Isane didn't seem like a person who would tell everyone immediately, but she had many friends... they'd have to see how that would work out.
Robin looked at him with a worried look on her face, questioning the "stupid" part. People do stupid things when they're in love. "You do know that she could be a threat at one point, right?"

"That is ok. We have no reason to hide. This place is not ruled by the World Government and we're not on a mission either. Plus, I absolutely do not want a bunch of Shinigami to become my enemies, for what reason ever." He felt like this was enough to say. He told two or three of his friends that he was a government assassin on the Grandline, but didn't mention any further details.
He turned his hand on her back into a comforting embrace around her shoulders as answer. "I know. But I also know that she'd had no chance against me and I doubt she could do anything against your nakama either. She is strong without any doubt, but not that strong. And Lucci is still the bigger danger." He wondered how fast and relatively easy they had cleared up the biggest issues of the very chaotic last 24 hours. Would have been nearly impossible merely a month ago.

"I'm just afraid that we'll get so many enemies at one point only because I'm pregnant and you happen to be an assassin. I'm tired of hearing from my nakama that I should be careful." she admitted more easily than she had expected from herself. She appreciated the fact that her nakama looked after her, but the constant "we'll kick his ass" attitude was starting to make her very uncomfortable with the whole situation. Why couldn't they just accept it? After all, she had done that too.

"That we actually like each other" he continued shyly, "like... a lot." Holy Jesus, that was ridiculous. Of course they did and more than that. "And secret meetings and the like are not typical for a twosome anyways. It's... I'd like to meet you more often and without all that hiding and stuff."
Talking about facts and plans was easy, but talking about feelings was horribly awkward for him.

And upon hearing Jyabura's request, she knew that she was going to pulverize that already broken heart. "That would be nice, yes." She smiled. "However, you don't want to come near the Going Merry and building nine isn't very safe right now. What would you suggest?"
no subject
"See ummm, you should make it official or the like, but don't scream it out. They won't understand yet, but they need to know. It surely is really fucking weird, but nothing to hide. Anymore." He remained silent for a while, thinking about the problem they had with their locations. "Well, we could share an apartment, even if we don't live there constantly, but that would be also an open invitation to anyone who's after us. It would only make sense if you don't stay there alone for even a minute. At least we'd have somee private space this way."
no subject
"Also, that reminds me. How did Lucci react?" she inquired, looking at him hopefully; she prayed that the man had stopped being oh-so keen on killing her. "If we do take a shared apartment, we'll have to keep the location secret anyway; I wouldn't want my nakama barging in on any moment. That could deliver some... awkward situations."
no subject
"Awkward?! What are you planning to do there?" he asked her with lifted eyebrows and badly acted innocence while running his fingers over her throat, but a bit too... wolfish. "You may admit that you loved the risk of the unlocked door that Christmas evening. Because, well, I did too!"
no subject
"You know what I'm talking about." she said with a teasing smile. "It's not like we need a whole apartment just to talk."
no subject
"You can count me in for everything you want to do there, be it talking or hanging around or the fun stuff" he continued and gave her a kiss on her cheek. "And now that we're close to that café anyways, let me take you out. I could need a coffee" he added and took her by the hand.
no subject
She couldn't be more happier.
"Sounds great."
