Summary; Someone has to tell Rose how Jenny even exists. Someone else has to eavesdrop
Log;
Rose is, quite frankly, glad she was on her way home when Jenny arrived in the City. She's not sure she could have continued to function at work. Right now, she's shocked, absolutely angry, hurt and she feels a bit guilty about all of that. Jenny seems sweet, like someone she'd get along with--will get along with. It's certainly not Jenny's fault that her father is a lying, man-slut--backtrack. She doesn't know that. She's got to give him a chance to explain himself, doesn't she? Of course she does. There's probably a perfectly good reason why he didn't tell her that between the time she got lost and the time she found him again, he had a daughter. She can't think of what that reason would be right now but...there's surely one.
In any case, she is pacing the living room, oh so beautifully painted like the console room of the TARDIS, and trying to come up with a rational, calm response to him.
Because rational and calm are words everyone uses to describe Rose Tyler

"When I woke up he was gone. I took off in a spaceship to do the things Donna told me he did. Lots of running about." She smiles again. "I like the running about."
no subject
"Good thing, too, because we do a lot of it. The running," he said.
And without another word, he crossed the room and opened his arms to give her a hug.

So dad hugs right now are good. They make her feel better. And she isn't letting go for a bit, okay? Okay. "Does this mean I get to call you dad too? Because we're from the same stock, you and I. Even if I'm shorter and a girl. We can still be a family. People have those, families."
no subject
She's out of breath, but that doesn't stop her from rushing right over and joining the group hug. Donna's own family just keeps getting bigger and she'll be damned if she's not going to jump right in and enjoy it.
no subject
"If you'd like. It can't be any more confusing than calling us both Doctor," he answers Jenny. "Never thought I'd have anything like a family again. Between all of you here, I've gone all domestic." He makes a face, but doesn't seem to be seriously upset.

"Donna Noble! I have two dads and a you! It's the best surprise, being here. A surprise full of surprises, really." She leans back to look between Donna and her Dad. "Do you both live here too? With my Dad and Rose Tyler? That would be perfect. We should all live here. I don't need too much sleep!"
no subject
She should know better, she knows about the whole 'time sensitivity' thing, and especially about spoilers, but Donna's too overwhelmed to actually use what must pass for a brain in this ginger head of hers.
"But-- you're-- I saw, you were--" Oh, and too much distress, Donna looks to the Doctor. "She's!"
Nope, words are still not coming. In lieu of them, she dives in for another hug, and not too discreetly tries to feel if Jenny's skin is ice cold, and look for those two heartbeats.

"She regenerated," the Doctor said, because it was obvious what was bothering Donna, and he still thought it was pretty nifty himself. He steps back a little, crossing his arms and letting them be affectionate. They deserved a bit of space, clearly. Not that he was going anywhere.

Of course she's never done a lot of things, most things actually. So every experience aside from fighting in a war, learning that war isn't all there is, and being shot... well everything besides that is a brand new experience. Now she just has to convince Donna to live here too. And Martha if she ever visits here. Then everyone she's ever met and everyone she cares about can be under one roof.
...they might need a bigger house so Donna can shut her door sometimes.
She turns back to Donna. "You should be living here too. I can just sleep on that bit of cloth over there." Yes, she means the hammock. "And you can..." She's looking around the small apartment, the wheels turning in her mind as she tries to figure something out that would work. When she can't come up with anything, she looks hopefully to her dad for help.
no subject
"Over my dead body you'll sleep in a hammock! Don't you dare let that happen! You deserve a bed and a room to yourself, if I have anything to do with it!"
And it's now, that she wants to yell at Rose and the Doctor, that she looks confused. "Where are they, anyway?" As if the they in question should be obvious.
