Summary; After healing Kaku's wounds, Isane heads to Jyabura's to tend to the other wounded in the... altercation.
Log;

She had seen to Kaku. He was sleeping, probably would be sleeping for quite a while after all that blood loss. And here she was, medical bag packed, heading off to tend to the one who had inflicted said wounds, another CP9 agent, Jyabura. But it didn't seem at all strange to her, really. Healers healed people, it was what they did. And Jyabura had been very nice to her, answering all her questions, being honest. And she appreciated that, considering. Arriving at the door in question, the shinigami rapped sharply, ears peeled for any noises of distresss, hoping in the interim that the man hadn't lapsed into unconsciousness or any such thing. She wasn't quite sure was to expect - he'd mentioned large dogs, so she supposed... she would just have to find out.

The wolf hade made it back to his apartment somehow, but getting through those tiny doors was a pain. He moved all furniture and the tons of plants in his living room aside to make enough room to simply lay down and rest, too tired to get rid of all the blood even, let alone all the tiny splints of glass and wood in his face and side that bothered him more than his broken ribs.

Sleeping since a while he woke up by the knocking, slowly opening the yellow eyes and ears pointing towards the door. Well, shinigami or not, a grey, blood-covered and huge werewolf would impress anyone. He couldn't even think of opening the door for Isane, he had not enough room to simply get up and stand on full size; crawling around was the least thing he wanted right now, breathing was hard enough.

"The door's not locked" he said slowly and as nicely as he was able to, the effect destroyed by his deep and not very much inviting voice. Oh well.

"Perfectly" he said slowly, making sure she'd understand him. Other people wouldn't have understood a single word of anything he told Kaku the last night, as Kaku was used to Jyabura and his ability since he was very young. To strangers it would only be a bunch of absurd snarling until he shifted into his complete hybrid-shape.

"Broke some ribs" he continued, watching her from the corner of his eyes, "and two cuts", referring to the stab in his side and the cut on his cheek. "I'm used to broken ribs, but the splints in the cuts are bothersome. If I shift back to human, they could get deeper inside the flesh. Can't pull 'em out now." Compared to the wounds Kaku had, his were a lame joke. The real injuries were his broken ribs, while he only bothered about the splints of glass and wood.

"How is Kaku doing?" he suddenly asked her, knowing well enough that he'd asked Isane for sanctuary rather then going to the hospital or any other healer.

"No." he said briefly and a bit grim. Someone in that room was too proud for pain killers and Isane wouldn't make him take these even if she tried to cram them down his throat. Which shouldn't be an option.

Jyabura had the dim feeling she was angry at him for injuring Kaku that much, but maybe he confused it with her professional behaviour of looking for his wounds. He couldn't tell as he was usually terrible at guessing other people's feelings.

"Hm", he replied to her explanations quite disinterested. "He had to learn his lesson."

"That depends on what he told you this time" he said with amused sarcasm, but inwardly wondering for a second why that boy would lie around. What in the world was the reason? Did he like drama so much? That guy needed a hobby.

"He paid Lucci a visit" he said, breaking the sentence to hold his breath for a second as he felt the wood being pulled out. "Don't ask me what they were talking about. I have no idea" he admitted, willingly pointing out that he actually had no provable reason for the fight.

"They would never plot to hurt her. They were planning to kill her" he said with a tone of aggression in his voice, just timely repressing an angered growl by the mere thought of Lucci, let alone the fucking squarenose whispering those things into his ridiculous spotty ears. "And actually they have reason to, if we take it by facts."

"Hell of a temper" he admitted after a while, giving her a quick look, but putting his head back on his paws again. "I know both of them since they were kids. I'd be a fucking idiot if I didn't know their true faces yet."

"Not mentioning things is not exactly lying" he murmured. "It's not like you tell the untruth" he tried to calm her as the girl finally let slip some emotions through, even if it was just a little insecurity.

"Lucci is our group's leader and a bastard even by assassin standards" he continued. "Actually he only works for the World Government so he can kill people legally. He's ruthless by any means, a sadist, an intriguer AND a cat." he snarled. It was only a short snarl, but so sharp and hateful that it made very clear there was nothing or no one Jyabura hated more than Lucci. Mostly for being a filthy stinking cat, though.

"It's more like... I can't explain. They're secretive and two-faced. I'm rather straight-forward, which is probably not the best requirement for an assassin" he smirked. "I wouldn't trust them. Kaku said he wouldn't hurt Robin nor tell Lucci to hurt her. But I felt better after beating a little warning into his redhead. Just to play it safe, you know."

Not that he liked someone fingering in his face like that, but he'd be the last one to protest. If he could have shifted back to human form, he'd taken care of it by himself and failed miserably. Like the time he arrived in the City with broken ribs and burnings and walked around like that for good two weeks or so.

The silence was awkward to him. Thoughtfully he closed his eyes, thinking about a possible topic for chit-chat to bring up, but there was no easy subject to talk about with Isane. "Well, I'm sorry for setting you up with Kaku. T'was probably a really stupid idea."

"If you can't say no to his cute face" he started while shifting back, revealing a tattoo on the front of his shoulder, the kanji for wolf, and some nasty bruises and scars from Kaku's kick on his chest, "try smacking it." he finished without the slightest sign of sarcasm or kidding.

"You know what they say about violence. It solves your problems. And if it doesn't, you don't use enough of it" he said while tying his black hair, visible relieved to be fully human again, but very concerned about his quite mauled clothes.

He tried to be as few in the way for her as possible, though not slightly knowing what she was even exactly doing. But it made him feel a bit better already.

He gave the sword a short, sceptical look; sceptical as in respectfully. He didn't use any kind of weapons and knew very few to nothing about them, and least about swords. But that thing would surely cut the boy good. "If you say so. Let's hope I slapped enough sense into him last night, then. And if that failed, what I doubt, you can still blackmail him by reminding him that you saved his life" he smirked.

He watched the process obviously nervous, though being healed by some kind of magic in the past, and clenched his teeth when it startet to hurt.

"What?" he asked her surprised, not expecting her to talk. "Uh, sure." he said after a while, but it didn't sound very all-too-true. "For example, he acts nice towards me, but it's the things he talks about you behind your back that count. Don't let him drag you into his stupid mind games and things should be fine. And if not, he has still one more ear left that you can bite him off next time" he smirked, but being dead serious about it.

He looked down at himself curiously, probably never stop being sceptical towards any sort of magic, but as long as it did its purpose...

"That went fast" he said impressed, happy to be able to breathe normally again. But he did notice her change of emotions, be it disappointment or whatever, and sighed. "I'm sorry I can't tell you anything other than that, Isane. But lying's not my cup of tea."

Abashed he looked around in his living room. "Well, I guess there's nothing useful I can give you for your help, Isane. Thank you for taking care of me. And Kaku too."

"Fine then, but I owe you something, if you want it or not", he smiled, not liking the cold atmosphere between them.

"Uh, no. As much as I'd like to, but that would lead to trouble with the pirates" he said. "But you can tell Robin I'd like to see her. She'll know the time and place."

Shyly he scratched the old scar across his eye, feeling that something still needs to be said, but couldn't come up with something useful. "Well, thanks again then. And take care."
