Summary; After healing Kaku's wounds, Isane heads to Jyabura's to tend to the other wounded in the... altercation.
Log;
She had seen to Kaku. He was sleeping, probably would be sleeping for quite a while after all that blood loss. And here she was, medical bag packed, heading off to tend to the one who had inflicted said wounds, another CP9 agent, Jyabura. But it didn't seem at all strange to her, really. Healers healed people, it was what they did. And Jyabura had been very nice to her, answering all her questions, being honest. And she appreciated that, considering. Arriving at the door in question, the shinigami rapped sharply, ears peeled for any noises of distresss, hoping in the interim that the man hadn't lapsed into unconsciousness or any such thing. She wasn't quite sure was to expect - he'd mentioned large dogs, so she supposed... she would just have to find out.

Sleeping since a while he woke up by the knocking, slowly opening the yellow eyes and ears pointing towards the door. Well, shinigami or not, a grey, blood-covered and huge werewolf would impress anyone. He couldn't even think of opening the door for Isane, he had not enough room to simply get up and stand on full size; crawling around was the least thing he wanted right now, breathing was hard enough.
"The door's not locked" he said slowly and as nicely as he was able to, the effect destroyed by his deep and not very much inviting voice. Oh well.

After all, it was just like Komamura-taichou. She didn't really know what Komamura-taichou was, but she made the immediate connection in her mind. Slinging her bag from her shoulder the shinigami approached, making sure to keep herself in view, just in case Jyabura was like the canine captain in that he got agitated when injured.
"You with me, Jyabura?" She asked, checking over his injuries as she surveyed him, wanting to make sure he was fully conscious, she knew Kaku hadn't been.

"Broke some ribs" he continued, watching her from the corner of his eyes, "and two cuts", referring to the stab in his side and the cut on his cheek. "I'm used to broken ribs, but the splints in the cuts are bothersome. If I shift back to human, they could get deeper inside the flesh. Can't pull 'em out now." Compared to the wounds Kaku had, his were a lame joke. The real injuries were his broken ribs, while he only bothered about the splints of glass and wood.
"How is Kaku doing?" he suddenly asked her, knowing well enough that he'd asked Isane for sanctuary rather then going to the hospital or any other healer.

"Swallow." She prompted, her other hand rustling about in her bag. At the question, she thought back for a moment, gaze drifting.
"His shoulder wound will heal, I can handle that, the palm will be sore for a long while, those are delicate, and... well..." She shrugged slightly, completely used to talking about such injuries. "His ear I can't much help. I promised him I'd see what the other healers here are capable of, but I can't regenerate it. If I can't find someone his hearing will be severely compromise, and it will scar badly, either way."

Jyabura had the dim feeling she was angry at him for injuring Kaku that much, but maybe he confused it with her professional behaviour of looking for his wounds. He couldn't tell as he was usually terrible at guessing other people's feelings.
"Hm", he replied to her explanations quite disinterested. "He had to learn his lesson."

"It was about Lucci, then? And Robin?" Isane liked to keep her patients talking, it was good for checking levels of consciousness, and for distracting them. Putting on her gloves she took hold of the piece of wood in the wolf man's side, slowly, carefully, beginning to extract it, other materials ready at her side, her sword laid carefully on her other.
no subject
"He paid Lucci a visit" he said, breaking the sentence to hold his breath for a second as he felt the wood being pulled out. "Don't ask me what they were talking about. I have no idea" he admitted, willingly pointing out that he actually had no provable reason for the fight.
no subject
"Bit of a temper?" That he'd had no reason for the fight also didn't phase her, thinking of the 11th. And though it had hurt to see Kaku injured, she was able to write it off in that she was a healer, and seeing people in pain always hurt.
no subject
"Hell of a temper" he admitted after a while, giving her a quick look, but putting his head back on his paws again. "I know both of them since they were kids. I'd be a fucking idiot if I didn't know their true faces yet."
no subject
"... I also didn't ask about Lucci, since you told me I shouldn't get involved with him." She had to admit to curiosity, however. One more than one count.
"True faces?" She figured she may never see that.
no subject
"Lucci is our group's leader and a bastard even by assassin standards" he continued. "Actually he only works for the World Government so he can kill people legally. He's ruthless by any means, a sadist, an intriguer AND a cat." he snarled. It was only a short snarl, but so sharp and hateful that it made very clear there was nothing or no one Jyabura hated more than Lucci. Mostly for being a filthy stinking cat, though.
"It's more like... I can't explain. They're secretive and two-faced. I'm rather straight-forward, which is probably not the best requirement for an assassin" he smirked. "I wouldn't trust them. Kaku said he wouldn't hurt Robin nor tell Lucci to hurt her. But I felt better after beating a little warning into his redhead. Just to play it safe, you know."

"..." She lapsed into a silence, thinking, as she was prone to lately, about Kaku. About his lies. About... everything.
no subject
The silence was awkward to him. Thoughtfully he closed his eyes, thinking about a possible topic for chit-chat to bring up, but there was no easy subject to talk about with Isane. "Well, I'm sorry for setting you up with Kaku. T'was probably a really stupid idea."
no subject
"I'm sorry, too." She finally said, shaking her head. "But..." She shrugged. "He makes this really cute face. I can't say no to it." It was a poor attempt at being light-hearted.
"If you'd change back now I can tend your ribs and bandage those."
no subject
"You know what they say about violence. It solves your problems. And if it doesn't, you don't use enough of it" he said while tying his black hair, visible relieved to be fully human again, but very concerned about his quite mauled clothes.
no subject
"As for violence..." Isane continued, gesturing towards her blade, "I am capable, but I prefer healing. And I doubt hitting him with Itegumo will do me any good."
no subject
He gave the sword a short, sceptical look; sceptical as in respectfully. He didn't use any kind of weapons and knew very few to nothing about them, and least about swords. But that thing would surely cut the boy good. "If you say so. Let's hope I slapped enough sense into him last night, then. And if that failed, what I doubt, you can still blackmail him by reminding him that you saved his life" he smirked.
no subject
She tied off the bandages around his middle, she reached for a few long strips of gauze, using a fixitive to secure them over the long cut on his face. His ribs she would have to deal with exclusively with kidou.
Her hands began to glow along with her murmured words that seemed to make no sense in connection. But she lay her palms flat on the man's chest, letting the demon art begin to work, knitting bone back together slowly, slightly painfully. Anf finally, she was unable to hold her tongue.
"... Do you think there's any good in him at all?" Her voice had softened, barely above a whisper, eyes averted.
no subject
"What?" he asked her surprised, not expecting her to talk. "Uh, sure." he said after a while, but it didn't sound very all-too-true. "For example, he acts nice towards me, but it's the things he talks about you behind your back that count. Don't let him drag you into his stupid mind games and things should be fine. And if not, he has still one more ear left that you can bite him off next time" he smirked, but being dead serious about it.
no subject
"... Yeah, I suppose there's that." Her voice was equally convincing. His wince of pain didn't bother her, he was the one who'd refused the painkillers, and after a few moments she finally removed her hands, removing her gloves and the remnants of the glow vanished from her hands.
"All done."
no subject
"That went fast" he said impressed, happy to be able to breathe normally again. But he did notice her change of emotions, be it disappointment or whatever, and sighed. "I'm sorry I can't tell you anything other than that, Isane. But lying's not my cup of tea."
Abashed he looked around in his living room. "Well, I guess there's nothing useful I can give you for your help, Isane. Thank you for taking care of me. And Kaku too."
no subject
"And I don't need anything, healing is what I do." A small shrug. "It's my job." Looking to the door, she remembered.
"I'm going to see Robin next, did you want to come with me?"
no subject
"Uh, no. As much as I'd like to, but that would lead to trouble with the pirates" he said. "But you can tell Robin I'd like to see her. She'll know the time and place."
Shyly he scratched the old scar across his eye, feeling that something still needs to be said, but couldn't come up with something useful. "Well, thanks again then. And take care."
no subject
"Alright, I'll tell her." She smiled, nodding as she began exiting, but paused, half way out.
"And... thank you, Jyabura. ... For everything."
