Tayuya was sneaking. Suigintou was around here somewhere, she could never quite place the doll, since she didn't emit a chakra signature like the ninja did, not any other sort of enertgy she recognized. But, looking down at the ring on her finger, she trusted she was close. The kunoichi was soft, careful in her footsteps, already having removed the tap on the roof, moving into the warehouse to remove the others. She couldn't risk leaving them, even though both the shinigami were inside. They would probably be discovered, no matter how, and she needed them out, quick. Her breath was barely going, keeping to the numerous shadows of the building and supressing her chakra.

Gin had almost been asleep, happy for the little time he thought he had left with Rangiku. But his head hurt. And his heart hurt. But he couldn't heal that one. He got up to go into the main room, looking for some of the leftover painkillers and something hard to drink. But something didn't feel right. He couldn't place his finger on what though. Slowly he placed a pillow in the spot he had previously occupied, hoping not to wake her up, and headed through the main room to the other bedroom.

Tayuya froze immediately upon sensing the movement of the man's reiatsu, the man she was specifically assigned to keep an eye on. Until Aizen had discontinued that task, however. But... he couldn't have sensed her... The ninja had been unhooking the wire tap from underneath the bed, and with a look to either side, realized a motion now would be too noticable. Slowing her breathing, keeping her control, she surpressed her chakra, shoving the energy down into herself so hard that it hurt, willing the shinigami to return to his woman and leave her be.

Half asleep, he checked on the nightstand, on the bed, next to the bed, in the closet, but came up empty handed. He walked back out to check the main room, then stopped in the doorway. Maybe a botle had rolled under the bed. He slowly leaned over and looked, surprised to find not a bottle, but a person.

Watching the man's footsteps, Tayuya could feel her heart, her dead heart, flutter. She was reaching for a kunai, moving deliberately, and the moment the head came into sight she threw it, not as powerfully as she could, her elbow bent under the bedframe, but she took the time to scramble out the other side, dashing out of the room. Couldn't get caught here.

Gin instinctively dropped hand to block, swatting it out of the way but getting a cut on his hand in the process. He other hand dropped to his waist, but there was no weapon there to draw. He quickly followed, shunpo-ing to get in her way, and upon arriving there throwing a kidou at her. His eyes opened into slits, his blood red eyes staring at her. What the hell was going on?

Tayuya immediately ceased struggling the minute the kidou bound her, arms straight to her sides and glaring down at the glowing reiatsu holding her. But then her training kicked in. Acting. She wasn't the best at it, but good enough she was. She just prayed it'd be enough for this man. Her lip began to quiver, only slightly, not too much. The brown eyes lowered their gaze, hanging listlessly, not fighting. "..." She didn't speak, waiting for the shinigami to lead in questioning, still supressing her chakra enough that her seal was beginning to protest such a thing.

Gin managed to fight back his emotions, knowing that sitting there moping would not be intimidating in any way, An easy task for a short interrogation, which he assumed it would be. His usual grin slowly widened on his face as he dragged the sofa over and sat down in front of her. "Out for a stroll? It's much nicer outside than it is in here, I can promise you that."

"... I'm only hired help." Tayuya added dejection, not a lot, but a hint, making her voice sound slightly petulant and defiant all at the same time. "I don't do strolls, bastard." It wouldn't do to supress her natural tendencies in that area, nor would it to try and act too innocent. She was feeling out the binding as she spoke, wriggling slightly. If she released her seal all at once she could breakit... but now what not the time. Not yet.

"Why wouldn't they want t' come here an' see me themselves?" He crossed his legs and leaned back, showing that he was prepared to stay until she started talking. Making sure he kept his voice low, he slowly leaked out some of his reiatsu, just enough so she would start to feel it and asked, "an' who would that be?"

A false shy, a brief recoil at the feel of the reiatsu slipping closer. It pained her, almost as much as suppressing her chakra so much, to act this weak. "... I think he's a vampire." Tayuya had briefed herself fully before accepting this task from the Arrancar's leader, and knew those involved. Had done a bit of hacking as well. She turned defiant now, shoulders squaring up. “… He paid me a lot of money; you’re not getting more than that.”

Gin leaned forward, eyeing her up, looking for any signs that she was lying. Quickly he brought his hand up and stuck her across the face, stinging from the cut. His smile never faltered. He seeped out more of his reiatsu, this time trying to crush her within the kidou. "Is that really who 't was?" He didn't believe her, only because he thought he knew Jan better than that. He doubted that she was telling the truth, but if she was lying she was damn good at it.

Her face remained averted, bottom lip bit from surpressing a grunt of pain. Her long red hair hung in her face, blocking the view of eyes grown harsh with anger. Supressing her chakra as she was she couldn't begin to throw of the weight of his reiatsu, beads of sweat beginning to form at her temples, whole body beginning to cave inward. "I didn't-" She had been preparing for this, just in case, ninja were prepared, and tried to move her arm to her pocket, biting her lip harder with the effort.

"Didn't what?" He stood, grabbing her chin and turning her face to look at him. "I wouldn't want t' hit a pretty face like this again, so be honest." He lowered the level of reaitsu, holding her hair out of her face so he could watch her facial expression. He was beginning to grow tired much earlier than he had expected. The emotional strain from earlier had been too much.

Suigintou had not noticed anyone near the warehouse. After flying around for a while, she landed on the roof, sitting on the edge. Tayuya had been inside for a while. She was only supposed to be removing wires, it shouldn't have taken nearly as long as it did. After feeling a horrible urge to kill coming from the room below her, she floated over to the stairway down and flew down the stairs, only stopping to crack the door open a bit. She couldn't see much. A man standing, holding Tayuya. Something was not right. She waited, ready to jump in and help her only friend at any moment. Glancing behind her, she noticed a window. That would be their escape route. If they could make it to her N-field, they'd be alright.

Tayuya's eyes were full of defiance, and she didn't bother to hide it. Her lip was bloody and she spat on the shinigami, though her body was still being pressured by his spirit energy. "I didn't expect you to be this much stronger than me." She added only the slightest waver. "If I had known, I wouldn't have taken this goddamn job." Her eyes cast furtively, as if nervous, and though she spotted Suigintou, she made no sign of it. Not quite... almost the time. "Make me an offer." She wheedled. "Best his and I'll tell you what he hired me for."

He wiped the mix of saliva and blood off of his face, not giving it any more notice. "I let you leave without harming you. I don't enjoy soilin' my hands, just ain't very gentleman-like. An' I won't reveal that you were caught. I'm sure you've got a reputation to protect." He kept his reiatsu steady, not wanting to release any more unless she somehow escaped the kidou. "An' if you don't, 'm afraid I'll have to wake the lady in th' other room. And she will not be pleased."

She fell silent, as if considering. “… It’s her.” Tayuya kept her voice a steady murmur, barely audible, that he’d have to come closer to hear. “… He hired me to check on her… said there were too many other men involved and he had to know where he stood, some sappy shit like that.” Her hand finally reached her pocket and she pulled out a few bits of money, large denominations. “Paid me this…” Though she had palmed a flash bomb as she made the gesture.

He leaned in a bit to listen, dropping her hair and instead grabbing onto her wrist, stopping her from moving her hand anymore. "I don't care how he paid you. I said I want t' hear the truth. Now I'll give ya' one last chance, but only because I'm feelin' generous. Who sent you?" He was almost convinced, but if she was lying he hoped she'd catch his bluff. His speech was just as convincing at hers, if not more, since he lived his life that way. Though his talent right now was definitely hindered. He squeezed on her jaw a bit, not enough to break it but enough that he was sure she felt it.

The kunoichi tried to wrest her face from his grip, settling for a snarl when she found herself unable. Almost, almost… “It was…” Her hand opened the barest amount, the small flash bomb dropping to the floor and exploding in a bright flash of light. At the same instant she released the curse seal, flaring her chakra as bright as she could, snapping the binds of the kidou and tearing her face from the shinigami's grip, sharpened teeth of her cursed seal form snapping down in a bite. She couldn't resist drawing some blood of her own before she left. Mindful of her sharp horns, mindful as in not minding if they hit him, the ninja kicked off towards the ceiling, heading straight towards Suigintou. And with a certain surge of triumph she realized her mind was wholly intact, the extra power in the curse seal that was usually diverted to controlling her mind was being funneled off towards the doll.

Waiting for Tayuya to act, Suigintou ducked back around the corner, afraid. It was an emotion that she really wasn't used to. Luckily, she didn't have to wait long, as she saw the bright flash come out of the crack in the door. She turned and threw the door open, immediately feeling the surge of energy coming from Tayuya and channeling it towards the window, which started to glow as Suigintou's N-field was opened. She grabbed Tayuya's arm as she passed, ensuring that both of them would make it safely into the safe zone ahead. Without realizing it, she was hugging the arm tightly, the fear brought by seeing her bound like that clearly still affecting her.

Gin stood rigid, clearly taken by surprise with the bomb. He was tired, he had a headache, he had more emotional stress on him than he ever had before in his life; he was not in the mood to deal with the girl any more. He felt her break the kidou, scramble against him to get away, and in a few seconds it was all over. His eyes slowly readjusted to the dim light in the room. He looked around, eyes stopping on the coffee table nearby. There were the painkillers and the sake. He grabbed them both, heading off towards the bathroom to get cleaned off before heading back to bed.

Tayuya was still slightly unsettled by Suigintou's N-Field, and her muscles tightened in an outward sign of such. The doll's hand on her arm was reassuring, the ninja always felt that it would be only too easy for her to be lost in this expansive place... this... she didn't even know for sure where it was. But with her extra output of energy being funneled off it was much easier for her to begin sealing back her power, the horns receding and her other demonic characteristics falling back as she returned to normal, spitting the shinigami's blood from her mouth. "... Thanks, Suigintou." Tayuya finally said with a sigh, cursing the luck that the damned man had just had to look under the bed.

Suigintou slowly floated down to the ground, releasing her grip on Tayuya and instead clutching onto the bottom of her uniform, leaning her small body against Tayuya's leg. "What...what happened? I felt...strange." She fiddled with the fabric nervously, still not quite calmed down.

“… I got caught, is all.” Tayuya grimaced at the thought, thinking of what the Arrancar’s leader, Aizen, would say to that. … She was dead, had to remember that. It made her much more courageous in the face of bodily harm. “… I didn’t think the damned shinigami would look under the bed.” The ninja heaved a sigh, scratching her head. The horns always itched after they receeded. “But we’re okay now.” She gave the doll a reassuring smile, rare, for this one. But Suigintou was… dare she- no, most certainly not cute.

Suigintou looked up into Tayuya's eyes, quickly feeling normal again. "Yes, we are." She stepped back and brushed off her dress, then slowly floated up, taking a quick look at her surroundings. This was as much of a home as she'd ever had, so finding the direction to most easily get to the apartment was easy. She offered her hand to her companion, smiling back. "I'll take us home now."

Tayuya grinned, nodding. It was only a slight hesitation, as if the movement was something final and binding, before she took Suigintou’s hand and gripped firmly. “Alright.” She said, and found that she didn’t mind being bound like this.
