Log; Ongoing

When; January 14th, evening
Rating; No telling with these two. ^^;
Characters; Rangiku and Aizen, with a not so shocking guest. XD
Summary; An evening talk
Log;

Rangiku took her time. She'd changed into something more casual than her usual robes and pulled her thick hair back into a clip before she headed for the door. After a quick goodbye to Gin, she made her way into the cold night air.

Her feet were quiet as they took her to the entrance to Aizen's underground home. She paused at the door, thinking to knock, but instead chose to just go on in.

She remained silent as she traversed the long hallways, using her reiatsu to tell her where she needed to go to find him.

Finally forming a coherent thought, he took a deep breath and spoke, voice low. "He hurts everybody who gets close to him. He stabbed Hinamori. He stabbed Hitsugaya. He threw me aside. Nothing matters to him but achieving his goals." His thumb lightly stroked against her arm, trying to take comfort in her touch to continue talking, but the words were again scattered in his mind.

"We all know the things I've done, Gin. It's old hat. Are you quite finished? My tea is getting rather cold."

He turned up the heat under the teapot and refilled the glasses of himself and Ran.

"I have no intention of initiating combat, Gin. If a fight happens, it will be because YOU initiate it. Not me."

Ignoring Aizen's response, he began to speak again. "He'll hurt you. Or he'll abandon you. Or you'll end up watchin' him kill the ones you love in order to fulfill his goals." The nightmares continued, and it was almost more than he could take. He continued to look into her eyes, his own pleading with her not to leave him.

"What do you want, Ran? I want you here with me tonight, but the choice is ultimately yours. You can always go with him if you think that will calm down his little temper tantrum."

He sipped his tea and focused on his love, rather than the ungrateful former subordinate he was currently dealing with.

"Ran, if I deny him, he's just going to get more mad. There is nothing I can say that will assuage his anger. Not responding to him does not mean I agree completely with the things he says. Responding in ANY way to him like this is only going to drive him to attack. YOU are the one who must put your foot down."

He rose again and stood with Ran between him and Gin.

"The options are as thus. Gin leaves and we continue or Gin attacks and I defend. There is no other path the he will be satisfied with. Look at him."

"Don't belittle my problems. An' don't put this on her. You don't know me as well as you think y' do." Gin finally acknowledged Aizen again, but kept his eyes on Ran. "An' what do you mean 'completely?'" The anger returned to his voice. "I want you t' tell her the truth. That you'll eventually throw her aside, jus' like you do with everyone else who you're important to. You'll lie t' her, you'll use her, an' then you'll get tired o' her."

[ooc: Responded just because I thought of it right before falling asleep XD]

Gin could feel that physically he couldn't take it much longer. He stepped forward and quickly embraced her, his eyes watching Aizen from over her shoulder. "Sorry," he whispered, letting go and slowly walking back to the other side of the building, not looking back once. He knelt down at the edge, punching the building, reopening his wounds and getting rid of some of the anger clouding his mind. He jumped off and headed off towards the forest, reiatsu dropping. After wandering aimlessly for a while, it finally disappeared altogether, and he quickly fell over and passed out, completely emotionally and physically exhausted.

Aizen calmly sat and took another sip of tea, watching Gin leave. He was going to have to replace that part of the building now. Perhaps a project for Cirucchi to do.

"Ran? Will you be alright?"

He stood up and put his arms around her.

"Ran...Please. What's wrong?"

Aizen's mood dropped and he embraced her, trying to get her to respond in kind.

"Ran, talk to me. Don't just shut down like this, please."

He pulled her tightly against him, rubbing her back gently.

"I...see. So, what do you want to do?"

[identity profile] good-and-proper.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
"Only if you're comfortable telling me."

[identity profile] good-and-proper.livejournal.com 2007-01-15 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
"I would like that very much."

He watched her for almost two minutes as the silence hung between them.

"Alright, that's it. What's wrong now?"
