Characters; Smee and Captain and Crew of the Jolly Roger
Summary; Smee appears looking quite a bit younger than he was, offering a bit of a surprise.
Log;

He was old by now. At the ripe age of 95, Bartholemew Quigley Smeethington, known to most as just "Smee", was definately beginning to feel his age. Neverland or not, he was getting old. He was having more trouble moving around the ship, as well as he was beginning to forget things at times...there were moments when he couldn't remember what rope to secure or what side of the ship starboard was. It became more and more disturbing as time went on, especially after Captain Hook had been eaten by the Crocodile.

From his position on one of the ropeladders, he looked out across the sea with a sigh before he turned his attention back to the task at hand, which was to secure the mast. Now, what rope was he supposed to pull again? Dammit, he had done this a million and a half times, why couldn't he remember?!

Smee let out a low growl of frustration under his breath, and reached for one of the ropes. Of course, it would be right at that time that his body would choose to have him loose his balance. He only had time to suck in a gasp of surprise before he toppled, hand attempting to grasp onto a free rope to save himself, but to no avail. He fell backwards, brown eyes wide as he toppled off the ropeladder and into the water with a splash.

He felt the water engulf him, the force of his fall pushing him downwards. He felt disoriented and dazed for a moment, before he righted himself, kicking up towards the surface. He opened his eyes as his lungs began to burn horribly, and the water seemed to rush by at an alarming rate...he almost felt as if he were changing. But as it was, it was the least of his concerns, as right now, he felt as if his lungs were on fire.

Almost...almost...

His head broke the surface of the water with a gasp, and he sucked in a large, lungful of air. He coughed a couple of times, choking out a bit of water and spitting it away. Only then, when he began to tread water, did he look around. He glanced down at himself once, eyes widening as he realized that...well...he looked different! Not so much of a pot belly any more and somehow the wrinkles had disappeared. He lifted a hand to the top of his head, and, to his shock, found a full head of hair! What in the hell was going on?

Smee looked around, noticing that he was still in the middle of an ocean, as was to be expected...but where was the ship? He turned a little in the water and...aha! There it was! But...what? It was the Jolly Roger! Smee’s eyebrows raised and he moved closer to the ship.

“Ahoy! Is anyone up there?!” he shouted, attempting not to drown at the same time. However, thanks to legs that felt stronger than they had in many, many years, he succeeded in this venue.

Utter confusion crept into Hook's face, and he gave the man a strange look, as though the words he were speaking were complete nonsense. But then he actually looked, and slowly his expression melted into amazement.

His arms unfolded, and still looking bewildered, he descended the stairs, pushing aside crew members to stand directly in front of Smee. There he canted his head, hunched his shoulders a little, and peered right at the shorter pirate.

"...Split my infinitives," He muttered, forget-me-nots widening. "It is you."

"Yes, I was," He replied, knowing the question despite the fact that Smee hadn't actually articulated anything that made sense. And though he still looked confused, something like delight had curled in the corner of his mouth.

"I think the better question is what are you doing here? And... looking as you do?" He couldn't stop the smirk from spreading. The man looked at least as young as the day Jas. had first met him all those years ago. And Hades, how long ago was that? No wonder he hadn't recognized his First Mate.

Hook inclined his head, regarding his Smee a moment. Then he gave a genuine smile, rough and pleased.

"This place is called the City, mate, and if you think you are confused now, wait until I explain some of it to you," As he spoke, James stepped up next to his first mate, draping his hook arm around the man's shoulders. He snapped his fingers to the crew, most of whom had taken to standing and staring curiously, and they sprang away. Then, smirking, he lead Smee back towards his cabin.

"We are on an entirely new adventure now, Mister Smee."
