Log;

Sasuke came to the apartment, trying to avoid being kissed by everyone he came in contact with because of the weird spell that was cast over the city for today. He sat in his bed, thinking to himself about what what he was going to do.

His earlier encounter with Gaara, then his brother left Sasuke feeling like he was weak, like he just wasn't good enough.

If he needed to get stronger, maybe he did have to leave, after all that's what everyone keeps telling him that he does. He certainly wasn't strong enough now in his current state, and with this whole concept of Gaara, Naruto and his brother being from different time periods, it really bothered him how they knew his actions way before he did, and how Naruto was so insistant on wanting him to stay. He did promise him he wouldn't, but now he wasn't quite so sure.

The door suddenly opened, but Sasuke was too caught up in his thoughts to notice.

And it was one Uzumaki Naruto that had bursted into the room then, face flushed from failing to avoid the kissing masses, two boxes of takeout balanced in one hand while the other fumbled with the door locks. "It's crazy out there!"

Naruto hadn't noticed Sasuke in the room with him, but when he did, all color drained from his face. That tickling, inexplicable urge to grab him by the shoulders and smooch him full on the lips was suffocating. Naruto managed to distract himself with the takeout, tearing into a piece of chicken, but he wondered how long he could last.

Chu Chu Day or not, he really needed to talk to Sasuke. With Itachi having made his grand entrance, it was now or never. The ball was in Orochimaru's court and Naruto needed to get it back. Not to mention that Sasuke was injured, and Naruto was worried about him.

"You doing okay? I mean, we haven't seen you around in a while, and when you do show up you're hurt. Wanna tell me what's going on?" There was even the urge there to punch Sasuke in the face for facing Itachi alone; even if it was all for the sake of revenge, facing Itachi - when someone like Orochimaru couldn't even beat him - was suicide. But Naruto would not punch him; he had no desire to drive Sasuke away, nor did he desire to incur Sakura's wrath when she found out they were fighting again.

"Like hell I won't be concerned," Naruto snapped, setting down the takeout boxes on the counter and approaching Sasuke. "And don't you dare tell me it's none of my business, either! We're a team, Sasuke. You shouldn't run off like that without at least letting Sakura-chan or I know ahead of time! I know revenge is important to you... but you're important to us, too."

With a huge sigh, Naruto closed his eyes, pinching his nose as he remembered his and Sasuke's fight back at the Valley of the End.

"You know... we're here for you, right? You don't need to do this by yourself."
