Log: Complete
When; January 19th
Rating; PG-13?
Characters; Arthur Hellsing [
arthurhellsing], Girlycard [
tinyvampiregod] and Open to Walter Dornez [
dark_butler]
Summary; Alucard of the past arrives, confusion ensues and now it is up to Arthur to explain the situation to his old servant.
Log;
Arthur sighed as he waited for the arrival of Alucard. Things were certainly getting more complicated by the day. Just when he thought he had things figured out soemthing else would arise. There was so much that Integral did not know about his relationship with Alucard. Now that the past version had shown up that relationship would likely become public knowledge. He could only hope that this would not affect his daughter's future or his grandson's future for that matter.
While part of him dreaded this meeting, the other part of him longed to see him again.

Same white suit, same long coat and fuzzy hat, scarf swaying as he moved. Black hair pooled to the side as he tilted his head, then twitched his nose, taking a seat on Arthur's desk (or anything near where Arthur was that would annoy him).
no subject
"I know but I did not want you to dally," he replied, stiffly. "I do hope you have not been causing mischief since you arrived."
no subject
"Did you miss me, Master? I was going to wear that maid dress to greet you, but you seemed so solemny. ."
no subject
Arthur sighed, he was certainly going to be in some trouble once this got out. Luckily he was dead or he would have been sweating. "I did miss you but it has been far longer than you think since I have seen you."
no subject
If he had to, he'd throw Alucard out the window, he supposed. Best not to have to do that.
He steeled himself before knocking sharply on the door, determined, despite his thoughts to the contrary, not to make a violent scene in Arthur's home.
no subject
He hoped that things will not become explosive since Alucard was more confrontational in this current form and he was certainly use to Walter wanting to "play" with him.
"And you will behave yourself," Arthur said directly to Alucard.

He could feel Walter- both as his old companion as well as a vampire. It was a curious sensation, but he was not entirely surprised. Walter was a predator.
no subject
God, this hurt his head. He was grateful to Lacroix, since he could still feel the cracks trying to split wide open seeing the two of them together that way.
"Arthur," he said in acknowledgement.
no subject
The vampire disliked the tense atmosphere, he wanted a happy reuinion. They were heroes, were they not? Saved London and the world.

"As I was saying more time has passed than you think. Walter and I are far older than we appear. And I am sure by now you have noticed my lack of warmth and heatbeat," Arthur said, placing a hand on Alucard's shoulder.
no subject
It was a bitter pill.
He watched the pair of them together while he tried to sort through his feelings. Part of him - Millennium's Butler? - wanted to react violently. Part of him... did not.
no subject
And now Walter . . like this? He refused to accept it. Then paused, adding archly, as he disengaged fingers from Arthur's side, "At least tell me it wasn't easy?" Red eyes glowed, "I love- loved you both." Love, it appeared, was over.
no subject
"I didn't expect things would turn out the way they did," he added, looking away from both Alucard and Walter. God it was far too painful to be having this conversation while they all looked frozen in time. It made him feel all the more like a failure.
no subject
...love curdled as old milk was what he had told Rosiel.
"You really don't remember anything?" Did it make any difference? Could he hate one Alucard and not the other? Did he have enough hate for both of them?
At least Lacroix had given him enough help to keep the memories from breaking through and insisting they were the present.

It hurt, but was expected. He was a weapon, after all and knew when his use was up he would be packed away until the next fight. He wanted to leave, but there was nowhere to go. Hellsing- most recently Arthur and Walter, were all he had known for a long while. There was nowhere to leave to.
Then turned his attack on Walter, "What was your first clue, Angel?" A snappish tone. Petulant. Childish as his form. "No. I don't remember." Calmer, anger leaving and in it's wake weariness.
no subject
He knew his past sins well he didn't need Alucard throwing it in his face. Alucard of the present understood such things because he knew Integral. His heir had been worth this pain he was feeling now.
"Look many things have changed but you know that I would not turn you away. Nor do I intend to try to lock you away again," he said locking eyes with Alucard.
The connection was still there and he would not send his servant away. Not when he could cause mischief if left unchecked. He hoped Walter would accept this arrangement.
no subject
Alucard would be living just two doors away from him?
He should go see Lacroix if he had any hope of this working without his tearing the building down around their heads.
"As you wish, Arthur." He didn't bother answering Alucard's comment. What point was there?
no subject
"Walter?" Alucard asked, frowning slightly as he stepped forward. "Stop. Please? Whatever happened in the future. . that's not me. Besides. We don't have to let it happen. I could stay here. We could be here together forever."
no subject
Arthur looked toward Walter when Alucard turned to him. Sensing Walter's tension, he moved to place himself in their path.
"Give him time," Arthur said softly to Alucard. He did not want Walter to feel the need to attack especially with the way he had been off balance.
no subject
His brow knit in pain, Walter fished in his waistcoat for a pack of cigarettes to give his hands something to do.
"Don't speak too quickly, Alucard. You'll change your opinion when you learn more."
no subject
Then focused his attention back on Walter, "I don't care what happens in the future, Walter. I know what we have been through," only days ago, "That's what matters."
no subject
But rather than answer to what Alucard had said to him he decided to speak for Walter. "Alucard. Walter was compromised on the last mission you remember. That one mission ended up leading to Walter turning his back on Hellsing and joining the Major's group years later," Arthur said flatly. "So don't disregard the future. Some of us are living in it."
no subject
He could plead that he'd been brainwashed, or that he'd had Integral's interests in mind, but it didn't matter.
no subject
"Why bother with the future when I can change it through the past, or stay here and never see it happen." Girlycard replied stubbornly. He meant it. But he didn't. He was conflicted.
And being here, both welcomed and rejected; learning that he would be locked up, being hurt and hurting. Only a day after being a war hero, being happy.
no subject
He didn't want to think of Walter as a traitor. He didn't want Alucard to go around trying to change things that would ruin Integral and Dante's futures. He just wanted his family whole again. Yes, it was selfish but he didn't care it was how he felt.
no subject
He tucked away the cigarette pack and lit the one he'd extracted. He didn't want to see this - causing Alucard pain was a dearly held wish, but not this Alucard. Not this companion from his childhood. "I'll leave you two to your reunion. Perhaps things will be easier for the two of you without my presence."
no subject
The corners of his mouth twitched down, for once an involuntary action. They were both so important to him and he wanted to be glad to see Arthur again, to see Walter as an eternal playmate.
But to know he had been locked away on a whim, betrayed in the future...throwing his arms around Arthur's waist, he buried his face in the man's coat, beckoning Walter with one hand.
no subject
He and Walter were all this Alucard knew and he really didn't want to see either of them in pain. The idea of the seal that Integral and the other Alucard had been pushing for was starting to play in his mind again. Would it be cruel or would it be kinder to make Walter his servant again? He just didn't know anymore.
no subject
Kill him. Comfort him. Hurt him. Touch him. Hithimcuthimlovehimbleedhim. Kill him.
He retreated behind the mask again, allowing nothing to show on his face or in his posture. He drew on his cigarette and watched the two silently, motionless except for the slow rise of smoke from its ember.
no subject
"But in time. . we could grow used to each other again?" And slid a hand slowly towards Walter, a single digit fingering his waistcoat.
This was almost as much as he could take. There was a limit, even to him. And today had just about reached it. Knowing he would come home only to be locked up, that Walter would betray Hellsing, that Arthur was hurt and hurt Alucard himself in turn.
no subject
This current situation was draining for all of them but what could they do? This Alucard was here and he had no clue for how long. Wouldn't it be best if they could managed to get along again? Walter told him he was going to let someone help him and he hoped to hell that person didn't make matters worse.
no subject
He was in control. He was in control. He said it again and again like a mantra, but couldn't help himself when his hand snapped up, lightning-quick, and closed over Alucard's much smaller one. He kept his grip controlled, but quivered with the repressed urge to squeeze until the bones crackled like popcorn ground underfoot.
no subject
"Angel?" He asked, hoping Arthur wouldn't interfere.
no subject
Had Pyramid Head done that much damage that he'd been able to endure the other vampire's foot under the table then but could not tolerate the barest touch of his finger now?
He drew a deep breath he didn't need and slowly released Alucard's hand, returning his own to his side to clench into a fist.
"I am not your Angel anymore, Alucard." He tried, but someone who knew him as well as Alucard once had would likely hear the undertone of regret he could not quite hide.
no subject
Then moved back to Arthur's side, "I don't know if I should stay here just yet."
no subject
If (and he knew it was a slim if at best) Walter could make peace with this Alucard then maybe there might be hope that he could make peace with the other Alucard and Integral as well.
no subject
But he'd managed not to lash out with a blow that would have thrown the little vampire across the room, and he was going to have to take what victories he could.
"This time I really will be leaving," he said stiffly, turning for the door. "You may use the network to inform me of what you two work out."
no subject
Curling one hand around Arthur's waist, he snuggled against the other man's side. "For your order, Master, I shall stay. But only if it is with you tonight." The implication being, in bed.
no subject
He of course knew he was in for a barrage of questions in the near future. But would he even bother to answer them there was nothing he could say that make this seem acceptable to the others.

Then snuggled his head against Arthur's side, giving a slight yawn that showed kittenish fangs.
