Log;

The vampire was intrigued by Lacroix's responses, it showed both intelligence and wit on his part. But just how far did they extend? How clever was this elder vampire? That was one thing Alucard wished to test.

Though, like General MacArthur, felt the need to show up with his own show of prowess. Letting his presence be known outside of the werehouse, the vampire simply moved through the walls, stepping from the thick shadows in one corner towards Lacroix.

Suit a bright white contrast, fluffy hat perfectly straight, the vampire gave an innocent smile, tilting his head and said, "Hullo."

Lacroix had been expecting a visit from Walter's friend sooner or later. This one unlike Walter could shield his thoughts better but of course he wasn't dealing with just some inexperienced vampire. After all this one was Vlad Dracula even if he did wear the form of young girl. Though that form was just as appealing as the other Alucard wore.

"Well hello there. Finally slipped away from you master?" Lacroix asked, remaining seated as Alucard materialized.

Now there was a gift that was no doubt handy.

"Hmm, then what would you call this devotion you have to the Hellsings?" Lacroix asked simply. Not really caring about the disarray Alucard was causing with his belongings.

"Does it bother you that I am helping your friend?" Lacroix asked. Knowing full well that Walter and Alucard were far more than just friends. He had seen the memories in Walter's mind quite vividly.

"Ah this is true but I do have my moments of random generosity," Lacroix answered simply. He could avoid answering questions as well. Though Alucard was younger than him, Lacroix would not underestimate his intelligence or experience. That would be a foolish endeavor.

Giving the other vampire a wounded expression Lacroix simply answered, "Why I am all alone in this place. I merely seek company. Surely you wouldn't begrudge an old man some companionship?"

Such actors they both were, Lacroix had figured that would be the case.

"There is nothing little about either of you. I have long since learned to look pass the shell," Lacroix replied with a smile.

Lacroix thought about it for a moment before shrugging. "Your friend reminds me of one of mine. It is nostagic being around him," Lacroix finally answered. Not the whole truth but not exactly a lie either. Walter did remind him of Nicholas.

"You could merely ask for my age if you're curious instead of fishing for it," Lacroix replied unphased by Alucard's jab at his preferences. Truly it didn't really matter if the person was young or old he was attracted to who he was attracted too.

"A favored fledgling yes though he was never my lover," Lacroix admitted. He was well aware that he could have Walter in ways that he never had Nicholas and that was something he wasn't willing to pass up.

Lacroix merely smiled at the barrage of questions the other vampire aimed him. He chose to completely ignore the ones of Nicholas since he rather not discuss his old fledglings. Nicholas and Janette were his dear ones among all his immortal children and they were both lost to him. Not something he cared to repeat or even acknowledge at this point.

"I am nearly two thousand years old. So your guess was in the ballpark, I was Roman," Lacroix stated flatly. Being considered an ancient among his kind did have its advantages since most sought out him out based on his age alone.

"Only powerful compared to some. Considering you and I are different types of vampires. I hardly think we could measure our power similarly," Lacroix stated with a mere shrug, completely indulgent of Alucard's closeness. Yes, he found the other vampire appealing but he could control his urges well.

His age gave him an advantage over vampires from his world but he was well aware that Alucard was different from vampires from his world. So who could say how powerful he was in comparsion?

Reaching out and grabbing Alucard's hand, Lacroix admitted lightly, "No, I am not a shapeshifter. No vampire from my world had that ability. I've never been one to boast about what I can do. I find that bragging is a foolhardy endeavor besides some things are better left to mystery."

Lacroix knew his indifference was likely annoying to the other vampire but he was not one to sleep around on first meetings. Especially before he had a chance to really get to know a potential ally. If things worked out he would indulge Alucard all he wanted.

"Walter would prefer that I not speak of the matter with anyone. And I am willing to respect his wish. However I will say that the mind is a very powerful thing and some of us have better control than others," Lacroix said smirked, raising an eyebrow.

"As you said I'm an old man. I've had plenty of time to learn control," Lacroix said with a smile.

Lacroix was intrigued at how much effort Alucard put into trying to getting a rise out of him. He wondered if it were just a habit at this stage or if the other vampire just did not like the appearance of not being desired or flat out rejected.

"No, I am not controlling his mind. There is no fun in controlling a person. I prefer him to be capable of making his own decisions," Lacroix replied simply, of course he was hoping one of those decisions would be to allow this Alucard back into his life. The added influence of another vampire was needed to shake Walter out of the pesky humanity he was attached too.

[identity profile] master-lacroix.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
"Like you are not guarding yourself. You think it would be easy to take anything from me that I was not willing to share. Do test me, you will find that I am not so easily broken," Lacroix said calmly.

He was more than confident in his ability to protect his mind. He had almost two thousand years of practice after all. Even if his opponent be Vlad Dracula in a deceptively innocent looking form.

"I realize you have a possessive streak over Walter but he is not the same person you remember though he does remember you fondly. I'm merely seeking to show him how to embrace what he has become."

[identity profile] master-lacroix.livejournal.com 2007-01-25 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
"You speak of his killer instinct. I am aware of it. But I have seen that he thinks like a human killer instead of a vampire. There is a difference," Lacroix said, arching an eyebrow. "I merely wish to show him the difference so that he may fully utilize what he has become. Surely you can appreciate that."

Looking Alucard's strategic pouting Lacroix couldn't help but smile amused. "And yes, it would be a shame to ruin such a lovely mood," he stately playfully.

Now that was good to hear. Lacroix had thought the humans were the links and now it was confirmed. "Really now? And what do vampires in your world hold dear?" Lacroix asked simply, lightly wrapping an arm around the smaller vampire's waist.

He had let himself be infected again with humanity for a time and it had only brought him grief. Never again would he allow that to happen.

[identity profile] master-lacroix.livejournal.com 2007-01-26 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
"How quaint, there are those in my world who also hold humanity dear," he replied, and he was one of those vampires.
Humanity was for those who clung to their human ways. After almost two millenia he had no use for human ways. Not if he wanted to keep his sanity.

"Hmm, good question, unfortunately haven't an answer. Things have changed drastically for me as late. Perhaps once I have been in this place for a while I will be able to give you an answer," Lacroix answered frankly. "What of you, is your Master and Walter what you hold dear or is there something else?" he asked, slightly tightening his grip on Alucard's waist.
