Log;

It was weird but somehow Kagura had the feeling that she was being watched. She could never catch sight of anyone but the constant cold chill that passed over her spine made it hard for her to disregard the feeling. She considered that she might just be paranoid after all she didn't think she was interesting enough to stalk, but with so many people in the City with strange powers and capabilities she couldn't be sure.

In a place where Gods, Shinigamis, ninjas, vampires, monsters and so forth existed was there such a thing as being paranoid? It wasn't as if she had endeared herself to every person she had met. She had only made about four noteworthy friends during her short time in the City and those friends were all having problems. Problems that had her worried for their well being most days.

Lacroix stood among the rooftops watching his quarry from a distance...one Kagura Sohma, a pushy and persistent Japanese girl capable of transforming into an animal. He had found her through her comments on Walter's journal and was particularly interested in the way she seemed to care for someone who was practically a stranger. The sort of human idealism she often showed gave Lacroix pause since it seemed her words at times had influence over his new student. She needed to be tainted or destroyed and he knew the mad scientist Doc was the person to do it. The time to act would be now.

The feeling was getting stronger and her senses were beginning to shout danger at her. It was almost like when she had faced the Red one but somehow this feeling was worse. She felt a hand grab her arm out of no where. "Let me go!" she shouted managing to wretch her arm away just barely. She ran as quickly as her legs could take her reaching into her pocket for her communicator that connected to the network.

Oh how he loved a chase. Lacroix followed after Kagura giving her just enough time to send out a distress signal before he landed behind her and grabbed her by the shoulders. "I'm rather sorry my dear but you're finished," he whispered.

Kagura let out a scream as she struggled against her captor's iron grip her communicator tumbling to the ground and shattering. "Why are you doing this to me?" she cried out.

"It is nothing personal, just business," Lacroix responded, pushing Kagura's head into a nearby wall.

The impact with which her forehead hit the wall caused things to slowly grow dark, she was only vaguely away of the sharp pain in her neck. "Vampire..." she managed before her world went black.

Lacroix wouldn't bleed her completely dry after all he promised the Doc she would still be alive but that wouldn't stop him from collecting a gift for a certain vampire that was craving virgin blood. He really did love when things fell into place.
