Summary; Aizen briefs his newest arrived arrancar about her place in the big scheme.
Log;

Aizen was waiting on a small veranda that extended from his room in the Underground. It allowed him to look out over the dingy landscape and keep an eye on goings-on. He held a relaxed pose in his usual "working" attire, with a pot and two cups of tea in front of him and one leg crossed over the other.

"You may enter, Rori," he said, eyes closed as if napping, "I've been waiting."

As usual, he'd anticipated her arrival. She entered the room, took her usual seven steps and dropped to one knee, head bowed low enough that her long hair brushed the floor.

"I came as called. How may I serve you, Aizen-sama?"

A little shocked, she rose to her feet and slowly approached him, eyes still downcast. Once she was settled, her eyes remained on the tea cup in front of her. Being summoned by the one she thought of as her god wasn't unusual, but how does one act when asked to join him in such... common activities?

"I've been well briefed by the Privaron, but I'm uncertain of some of the things I've heard. She said... there are relationships between some of the family and the fi... shinigami, as well as you. Is this true?"

As soon as she heard his neck pop, she looked up at him. She wanted to see if he was alright, but she knew to keep her distance unless asked to do something. "... strange incidents? Would.. you please explain?"

She met his gaze evenly as she nodded. "Yes, the Privaron told me of such things. She seemed rather eager to fill me in on such things. She said... there were and still are feelings involved." Her own tea sat untouched as she leaned a little closer, listening intently. "I know you were once as they are, but couldn't you find one among the family to satisfy you so you wouldn't need to lower yourself?"

Rori absorbed his words in silence, her hands now wrapped around the teacup. She had no intention of drinking it, but her hands needed something to do. "I heard that she recently married Ichimaru-s... Ichimaru, and that he's left us... will the same happen with the Sexta Espada now that he's developed feelings for your discard?"

"Yes... they do doubt you. They think you're weak and that the whore has corrupted you. You allow them to walk all over you, and yet they go unpunished. They should be made accountable!" Her voice had risen a little, but she still didn't move from her seat.

His reiatsu almost sent her, boneless, out of the chair. As it was, her hands clenched, white-knuckled, on the arms to keep her upright. Her voice, so noisy before, was gone. All she could do was bow her head to him as she tried to keep from gasping.

She sank back in the chair as his reiatsu faded to tolerable levels. It took several moments for her to catch her breath as she listened to him. ".... ah... yes. I've seen Inoue-san, but I don't believe she's seen me yet. If she needs any assistance, I'll offer my help, but I will not try to restrain her to the area if she leaves."

"Then things are going as you originally planned, even though the location has changed. I'm certain you're pleased. I'll refrain from baiting the Privaron too much in her presence if she's so naive..."

".... I wouldn't see how injuries would happen to me. I am merely your messenger, unless I was called to serve one of the others... but if that is what you wish, that is what I'll do." Her lips curled into a slight frown. "Humans are such filth that they'll hurt their own like that. That's why it's good that the family doesn't have such things to worry about. The loyal ones, anyway."

There's no way she would ever admit to such things. Stil, she cleared her throat and looked down at her hands, still holding onto the arms of the chair. "I would prefer to think that I was above such weakness, but I'm certain you're right, Aizen-sama."

"The Privaron informed me about the curses and such, and I've heard that death here isn't true; and I've also heard word of a non-agression pact. I'm sure I'll have other questions, but for now, I'm unable to think of anything else."

"As you wish, Aizen-sama."

Without another word, she rose and cleared her still full teacup away, then moved to take her customary place behind him, just to one side. She would do as ordered. Always.
