Log;

Twice now she had died once by his hands, then again by his son's hands. However this time would be different, she would make him suffer greatly for betraying her. How dare he deny her anything? Especially after she was the one to raise him from the ashes of Pompeii. He would have been nothing, not even a memory if not for her. He owed her everything and she would make him repay her. Whether through his endless pain or his inevitable submission, he would pay. No one was going to deny her again not this time they wouldn't.

The unexpected arrival of Divia had put a serious sang in his plans. He had no doubt she would seek to hinder him every opportunity that she received. He knew she would rain down destruction if not stopped. She was quite mad after all and being reasonable was not one of her strengths. But that had been partly his fault for the way he treated her when they were mortal. He had been a far too indulgent and doting parent; she had never known the word 'no' with him. Now as a vampire she was still spoiled but with the power to make others bow to her whims.

Things had been going so well. Walter and Alucard were falling into his trap and he had rid himself of a potential nuisance. Now with the appearance of Divia his game of chess was in disarray. He would have to find some way of appeasing her...of course the fastest way being his death, the other giving her what she wanted.

Divia stood among the rooftops waiting patiently for Lucius to show himself. Eagerly awaiting her chance for retribution and the pleasure of making him suffer. Do not keep me waiting too long, Lucius. You wouldn't want anything to happen to your new friends, now would you? She thought sadistically.

She could feel his presence nearing her location; a broad smile crossed her face. "Hello Lucius. Did you miss me?" She asked in a melodic tone.

The moment he landed behind her and heard her voice a cold feeling passed through him. She was a monster in every sense of the word but she had inherited that evil from him. She was as much of his making as he was of her making. But no matter how sadistic, how manipulative...how cruel he was, she would surpass him in sheer evilness. Both a gift and a curse it would seem. "Hello Divia, my dear. You're not still angry with me are you?" he asked an aire of dark amusement surrounding him.

Divia turned to face Lucius, noticing a change in his demeanor. He seemed less righteous...yes that was it. The indignation he usually wore toward her was no longer present. Just a cold resignation remained about him. How peculiar...did it mean he was ready to suffer his punishments?

Moving so quickly she appeared beside him knocking him down to his knees, while gripping the back of his neck and twisting his arm behind his back. "Aww, you really did miss me. How refreshing," she said twisting his arm once more for emphasis.

Lacroix gritted his teeth, biting back a gasp. Only Divia could completely humiliate him in such a manner. But strangely her words did hold some truth. Part of him had missed her, she was one of the regrets that secretly ate away at him. Nicholas had tried to justify his actions but in the end he had failed his daughter and master. "Would you believe me if I said I did?" he asked, a slight edge to his voice.

"I see so you have come to bargain then. I only want your pain as payment for your sins against me," she said digging her nails into the flesh of his neck.

"Come now Divia, surely there must something I can offer you to temporarily appease your need for my pain," he replied through a grimace.

Divia thought on his words back then she had wanted everything from him but he had refused her. Now he was on his knees before her willing to barter. She could still make him suffer but if death held no sway in this place then she would get the pleasure of making him suffer numerous times. Such a dilemma she faced...make him suffer or give him a reprieve? "Tell me, what in this place has you so interested that you are willing to bargain in order to placate me?" Divia asked loosening her grip.

She would listen to him this once, perhaps he was beginning to act more like the General of the past. It would be a treat to see him truly act like the monster she knew he could be.
