Summary; Glinda decided to go over to try and help Elena in her drunken/upset state. Keyword here is try.
Log;
With disheveled hair, rumpled shirt, wrinkled pants, an overly flushed face, and glassy eyes, Elena was a sight to see. Though it wasn’t exactly the most pleasant of sights to see. It wasn’t that she had never used alcohol as a means to help her forget or suppress her problems or emotional issues before, but normally she knew better than to go out and immediately get drunk when she was in her most frantic and emotional state. Under normal circumstances, she’d give herself a few days and then get completely smashed to push her thoughts to the back of her mind. And under normal circumstances it worked. Once she had pushed them back far enough, she could spend a more appropriate time to dwell on things. Which in some cases meant never.
However, the current situation was most decidedly NOT a normal one. So Elena had decided to do something she’d only done twice before in her entire life. And that was to get as drunk as she could, as quickly as she could all the while being completely emotional and with her mind in a state of chaos. Which explained why she looked as bad and as pathetic as she did.
Currently staring out at nothing and hugging a pillow to her chest, Elena couldn’t help but dwell on how much of a jerk Jr. was for putting her in the position she was in. And then he had the nerve to try and tell her it was all a joke. Scowling as her thoughts went automatically back to the point that had brought her to drink the in the first place, the blonde threw the pillow at the wall with all the force she could muster, causing some of the seems to rip, before grabbing the large bottle of alcohol and chugging enough make a hefty dent in the bottle.

SCREW MEN!!!

She carried a bag containing various packets of tea in one hand and a bag of small cakes in the other. The former to hopefully sober up her inebriated friend and the latter to absorb what alcohol she had already ingested. This was not the first time Glinda had admonished Elena for drinking too much, but it was the first time she was going to actually do something about it.
Glinda reached apartment 997 soon enough. She transferred both bags to one hand and knocked loudly on the door.

Muttering to herself various curses and swear words, the blonde stalked over to the door. Opening it with a glare, it took Elena a moment to register exactly who it was that was standing before her.
"Glinda? What the hell?"
no subject
She lay the bags down on a nearby table and gestured to the nearly half empty bottle of alcohol. "How many times am I going to have to tell you that drinking is bad for you?"
no subject
"I think I'm old enough to pick my own poison when it comes to how I want to deal with things," she stated, in an almost haughty tone, had it not been for the slur in her voice that meshed her words together.
no subject
"Here, eat these." She held out the plate to the other woman. "You need something else in your stomach other than alcohol. I'm going to make some tea."
no subject
"Why?" she asked, looking down at the plate of tea cakes. "Why are you acting like it matters what happens to me?"

Putting down the plate, Elena raised a hand to cover her mouth. It really was too funny.

Leaning back so that she could turn to face Glinda, Elena's lips twisted into a bitter, regretful smirk. "I'm not a nice person, you know. I'm selfish, cruel, and a rather mean bitch sometimes. And I've done thing that would make your pretty little curls turn straight."
Slowly turning around so that she could rest her elbows on the back of the couch and prop her chin up, she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "Do you still want to give a damn about me now?"
Even as she said all those things, there was something in Elena's gut that twisted and burned with each word that got past her lips. It could have been blamed on the alcohol, but saying that was even to sad a lie for Elena to attempt using.

Glinda turned back to the kitchen. "You're my friend, Elena," she reiterated. "Of course I do."
There was no hestation in her answer. No moment of pause to think, no consideration. There was no need for either of those. She did give a damn about Elena, and nothing the woman had done in her past would change that.

Lowering her head, Elena bit the bottom of her lip before spinning around. Grabbing the bottle once more, she quickly took another deep swallow before letting out a deep breath and slamming the bottle on the table.
People liked her. People wanted to be her friend. And then there was someone who also...
Bringing her knees up to her chest, Elena wrapped her arms around her legs and rested her head on top.
"You people are all so stupid..."
no subject
"I'm sure you've heard the saying about the pot and the kettle and... however it goes. I've only heard it once; I don't remember the rest." She exited the kitchen and took a seat next to Elena, laying a comforting hand on the other woman's shoulder. "You want to at least tell me who else is so stupid?"
no subject
At any other time, Elena would never say anything about any sort of concern that was bothering her. She kept silent and to herself. But everything was already so messed up and different that did it really matter anymore?
"... Me... and Jr.... More him because he's the bigger idiot for starting all of this," Elena said softly, her voice no louder than a whisper. If Glinda hadn't been sitting next to her, Elena doubted that she would have been able to hear her.

Reaching for another couch pillow, Elena threw the thing across the room before getting up and punching the wall as well, leaving a fair-sized dent. Blinking furiously, she bit her lip and used the fall of her hair to hide her eyes from Glinda's view.
"Because the fucking bastard said things were a joke. Because he shouldn't have even said anything in the first place. Because being drunk is better than remembering," she stated. Her voice was level and even, but tight with her anger and the achohol.

She was hesitant to stand and move closer to the other woman, not knowing whether Elena would strike out again, and if she did, at whom it would be directed. But Glinda ignored the voice in the back of her head, as she so often did. Instead of staying seated as her mind commanded her, she stood, slowly making her way to the other blonde. She hesitantly wrapped trembling arms around Elena, hoping to calm the woman.
"Come back and sit down. Tell me what's going on. I know you don't want to remember, but drinking isn't going to make it go away. Come on," she said, leading Elena back to the couch.

Sitting back down, Elena leaned back to rest her head on the back of the couch, and just gaze up at the ceiling. Her eyes stung, but she stubbornly blinked away the feeling and swallowed, forcing herself to calm down. How would she explain things to Glinda? It was confusing and complicated and so messed up. And part of it was all her fault.
"I..." Licking her lips, Elena wanted to reach for the bottle once more, but she had a feeling she'd be stopped before she got the chance. Swallowing, she tried again.
"I like someone and I'm pretty sure like me."

The witch trailed off, things she didn't want to remember rushing back. Fiyero, the only man she had ever come close to loving, leaving her for her best friend. To like and be liked in return...
"That's wonderful, Elena," she finished.

Pouring some into the glass that lay neglected on the table, Elena put down the whiskey and picked up the glass. Instead of drinking it herself though, Elena held it out in Glinda's direction.
"I'm still not drunk enough to tell you everything, but since you won't let me have anymore, you'll have to join me if you want to find out why it's not a wonderful thing," Elena stated. She was surprisingly clear sounding and steady despite how upset she'd been only moments before. There was still a slur, but it wasn't as bad as before.

"All right fine, but I'd rather tell you what's going on with you a bit more relaxed about things. It'd make me feel more comfortable. Or maybe..." And here her smile turned smug. "Maybe you don't think you can handle a little alcohol?"
no subject
She eyed the translucent liquid warily. ... A little wouldn't hurt her, would it? A sip. Only a sip. She raised the glass to her lips and took a little of the drink in her mouth. It burned on its way down and Glinda tried not to choke.
"See?" she said, coughing, eyes watering. "I can handle it."
no subject
"I bet you didn't even taste it yet," Elena dared. "If you'd like, I could mix it into some milk for you. Maybe then you'd be able to keep up with the big girls."
no subject
"See? It's fine." The witch took another, longer drink from the glass, just barely choking it down.
no subject
"So now that you've proved that it's fine, and that you can handle a little alcohol, I suppose I should start explaining," Elena said, letting out another sigh. She still didn't want to say anything at all, but.... Well... things were different and that was always something she'd have to keep in mind.
"Just... Where do you want me to start?"

"... I'm not really supposed to like anyone," Elena slowly began. "It's considered to be too great of a risk."
