[Open RP] The karaoke party!!

When; This evening - onward, Friday the 16th
Rating; Who knows x3; It could get up to PG-13?
Characters; any and all
Summary; Aya is holding the karaoke party at the new karaoke bar that has just opened up! Catering is provided by Yuuhi, and some city residents offered up help. Much singing, dancing, food, drinks, and good times are to be had ♥
Log;

(OOC notes: okay, so I realized that not everyone will be here at the same time to be able to do their song in the order that was listed, so botch that idea xD; If someone's done with their song or something, go ahead and do your thing, mkay? ♥

Again, all characters are invited! Have fun guys :3 )

Aya calmly flipped a lock of her long, dyed-blonde hair behind her back, as she stood from setting some food on a nearby table. She closed her eyes and took in the scent of the warm, Japanese dish that she had missed so much, and reminded her of home. Especially with the music the local Dj decided to play as everyone arrived - familiar songs that she knew and loved, with bittersweet memories attached.

She turned to smile at the flustered chef that was busy getting the buffet table ready, and giggled. "Thanks so much for agreeing to do this with me,Yuuhi. I'm really happy, and I'm sure it'll be what everyone needs to relax and lighten up a bit!"

Some people began to walk through the doors, and fixing a few more things on the table, she made her way to the seating area to welcome the newcomers.

Yuuhi double checked EVERYTHING. Well, the food all seemed to be in place. Most of it, anyway, and the places for the rest that would arrive were cleared and set up just right.

Wiping his brow, relieved that everything was going according to plan SO FAR, he smiled back at the blonde. "I certainly hope so. It's been too long since we've gotten to do something like this, and I haven't had a chance to cook so many different dishes in ages."

Feeling a slight blush come on at the wink, he turned away, pretending to adjust a platter that was already perfectly set.

Then, he yelped as something cold pressed against his arm. Looking down, he saw the glass of water, and took it gratefully. "Thanks, Aya." He said, taking a large gulp. He hoped people started showing up soon; he wanted his food to be enjoyed, not just sit there and look fantastic.

"So, what are you gonna sing?" Yuuhi asked, glancing over at the karaoke equipment.

"I'm sure people will show up soon, don't worry." He said, trying to be reassuring. Yuuhi really hoped this would be a success; Aya would feel better if she threw a party she could be proud of.

Brown eyes lit happily at the request. "Of course not! Go ahead. What specifically caught your eye?" He asked, handing her a plate and practically on pins and needles waiting for her answer.

AH! The takoyaki! Yuuhi had to admit, he had out done himself for this party. And nearly killed himself trying to get so much done. He beamed at her, practically walking on air at having recieved such a good review.

"I tried to make sure I got everything just right." He said, remembering the painstaking processes he went through to make sure each of his dishes met his standards. "I'm glad you like it!"

Haro! ♥

Clive inched his way inside of the karaoke bar, covertly placed a rather large bowl of some manner of red punch in a giant glass serving bowl and quietly took a seat in the back. He watched the pair flit around, busying themselves getting everything prepared for the evening. Clive yawned and stretched himself out on the plush seat.
"You did plan on having guests attend this, Miss Aya?" He complained loudly.

{sorry if it's a bit verbose. ^^;;;}

Much like his trips to Automatica and the smattering of clubs within the endless city, Kyou made his way through the twin doors on his own. Karaoke wasn't exactly his favorite activity, but he supposed it wouldn't hurt to go out on a limb for once, so to speak.

To Kyou's surprise, only a couple of patrons mingled within the building. If the female was Aya, if Kyou remembered her name correctly, then the male nearby had to be her friend, the one helping out. Kyou didn't make any attempts to greet them vocally, but would make a small wave, if either happened to glance over. He also noted the other man present.

He quietly walked over to a bar toward the far wall of the room and took a seat at the very end. Again, much like his routine when attending a club. The settings were quite different, though - of course. They nearly made Kyou feel out of place, possibly uncomfortable. No glowing, flashing lights, little-to-no crowds. A faint hum shivered at his feet and circulated throughout the room. Kyou glanced over to one of the side-rooms, its door shut. Some of the guests, perhaps, were already showing what they had.

Kyou reached into his back jean pocket to pull out a palm-sized notebook and a pencil, and began sketching; just a small something, for a poem he wrote.

Yuffie poked her head in. This seemed to be the place. Very posh, almost like Turtle's Paradise bar back home.

She stepped inside fully. Spotting a blond girl muching on takoyaki, and talking to someone she assumed was the chef.

Yuffie also noticed a white haired man sitting by himself near the back. Deciding company would be nice while she waited for the festivities to start, she sat down next to him.

Well, that was fun, he had systematically managed to piss off Aya and get ignored by everyone else in a single foul swoop. Clive huffed quietly to himself and glarred out at the other guests. He was beginning to feel a nasty mood creeping up on him when a particularly lovely young woman began walking his way.

"Hello, Miss. I did not know the angels of the City were attending this event." He grinned at the young woman seated beside him. "My name is Clive, can I ask your heavenly name? ♥"

He grunted loudly as he strained to carry the mass of metal trays stacked higher than his chin. Hot steam was making his good eye water. He staggered and almost fell as his foot caught on the edge of the door. Hotta quickly righted himself and took several more teetering steps forward. At least he would not have to make a return trip.

“Oi, Aogiri-san! Do you have anything else you need?” He grunted from behind the stacked trays. “I think I got all of the food.”

The hot metal was beginning to burn his hands. He ignored it and staggered to deposit the trays behind the “employees only” door where he could keep the remainders warm in the pseudo-kitchen. Having done this, Hotta returned to his position behind the bar. He picked up the wash clothe he used to wipe the spots from the dishwasher off of the glasses and began polishing a nearby scotch glass.

He exhaled and tried not to think about the red marks on his hands from the hot trays. Maybe the boss would not mind so much if he had a small pick-me-up. No. Chances are he would have to sing for it. Well. He slipped some of his tip money from the other night into the cash register and poured himself a double and took it in a single large quaff. Uhh, at least it felt nice having people in the bar.

Yuuhi blinked, turning as he heard his name being called. The stack of metal trays made him stare; they had a LOT of food. Which was usually a good thing at a party, but considering the current turn out, it may have been a bit much this time.

'No,' He thought to himself. 'This party WILL go well... We really need it to.'

"Oh, hey Hotta-san!" He called, walking over to where the man stood behind the bar. "That should be plenty, especially since we have yet another friend helping out. Thanks, man."

He nodded, picked up a new glass and started polishing it.

"Tell me if you need anything," he eyed the large punchbowl on the table. "Er, what's in there?"

Hotta's eyes flickered over towards the doctor sitting on one of the plush chairs. He frowned and a Yuuhi a very suspicious look.

"Should I even ask?"

Cielo took a deep breath and walked in.

It was nearly a relief that she found the place without getting lost, as apparently her sense of direction in this city was as bad as it could get. Carrying a pretty large tray of pasties didn't help at all, too.

She caught sight of a blonde female as she was setting the tray down on the table. She looked Asian - the hair must be dyed. Cielo tried to budge the tray a little further in, but one quick look and she had to frown. The table wasn't... organized enough. There were noodle dishes right next to the drinks, and that wasn't supposed to be like that. Main courses a little off to the side, drinks and desserts right up middle, utensils and whatnot at the ends. Her years of working in a restaurant were poking her at the sides.

Cielo let it go.

Taking a good look around now, she saw - Ieyasu and the white-haired doctor. There were a few other people she didn't recognize as well. She blew her hair out of her eyes and looked for a seat.
