Log: Complete
When: Sunday, February 18, Wrath Day
Rating: To be safe, let's go with R
Characters: Walter Dornez
dark_butler and Lucien Lacroix
master_lacroix
Summary: Wrath, depression, and despair only feed Walter's conviction that Lacroix is behind Kagura's disappearance and that the vampire needs to answer for it and pay.
Log:
If asked, Walter would have been unable to say if it was rage at Lacroix, or at himself that drove him forward. He had always known that monsters such as he tainted and harmed all of those around them. This just proved it.
His first stop in his hunt for Lacroix would be the Raven, since that had been his location in the post where Walter had confronted him.
In the back of his mind lurked the understanding that Lacroix could just break him with a thought.
He should stop. Think. Plan.
Those were luxuries for someone not spurred on by the curse of Wrath and the shard of despair that insisted that he act immediately since there was no hope for anything anyway.

"Nice try," he muttered, shifting more of Walter's memories around. Finally redirecting the rage toward one of the former Millennuim members that started Walter down his path of pain and betrayal...the werewolf. Yes, the former Captain would be the perfect distraction.

He thrashed harder and jerked his leg up in one of the few kicks such close quarters allowed - low blow be damned.

Lacroix stepped out of his office and strengthened the memory in Walter's mind while maintaining his distance this time.

"Bastard." He snatched up a chair and swung, spinning with the force of the swing that didn't connect as he'd expected. He caught himself and shook his head, almost seeing the club before the memory crashed over him again.

"Are you okay now, Walter?" Lacroix asked, masking his anger once again while taking on the mask of mentor.

No werewolf.
And he was... not human anymore. The aches from his long-ago injuries began to recede. He was... where?
The only thing familiar was the voice speaking to him. Okay now? From what?
"Lacroix? What happened?" Was he losing his mind again?

"You're not going to attack me thinking I am someone else again?" he added, while straightening his suit. The damage that Walter had inflicted beginning to heal itself in the meantime.

He'd gone for his throat. Lacroix had helped him and he'd gone for his throat.
Walter shook his head and looked around. There wasn't much damage, at least.
He stood up, a bit unsteady at first, and went to pick up a chair that was out of place, seemingly carelessly tossed aside.
"I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. I don't remember... anything. I don't remember coming here at all."

"Give it time, your mind needs to rest. You've had a stressful time of it these last couple of days. Your memory should begin to recover on its own," he added reassuringly.
no subject
"How?"

What a long couple days it had been.
"I'll just wish you good luck. I rather need you around."
Ah, obliviousness is the irony fairy's breeding ground.
