When; Febuary 19th, morning
Rating; PG? I'm so bad at rating things. ^^;
Characters;
10thdiv_haineko and
fishcake_dreams and maybe
kitsunesmile
Summary; Isane makes a house call.
Log;
Even though it was morning, Rangiku was awake and had been for most of the night. Her newfound fears had made themselves known all evening as nightmares, so she'd given up on sleep. Instead, she spent the night curled up next to her husband, clinging to him in hopes he really wouldn't leave her, even though she knew in her heart that he wouldn't. She'd left his side a few minutes ago to check the network and saw that Isane was coming over, so she pulled on a robe as carefully as she could and shuffled into the living room to wait on her.

For that matter, she hadn't seen the residence the two shared, and she was impressed, walking up to the door slowly, eyes wide before knocking, her 4th division bag clutched tightly in her arms.

Gin had already bandaged her injuries, but Ingram had done a good enough job to warrant healing. Between the sliced up back and deep gouges on her arms, her hand took more of a priority. Ingram had tried to keep her from being able to use Haineko and thought that trying to crush her hand would do it. He hadn't counted on Rangiku's stubbornness or the wrath running around the city the day before.
Pushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear, she smiled at Isane; a small smile, but it was obvious she was happy to see her friend.
"Sorry to drag you out of bed.... you alright?"

"I only got cut once, Rangiku, look at you! Bed, now!" Isane started to shoo the other vice towards somewhere she could lay down and let her work, until she realized she didn't know where anything was, and paused awkwardly.
"Well... um, lead the way?"

... And that sort of unnerved her, probably would for a while, until she could shake the sight of healing the people afterwords that had been pierced with traitor's blades, but- for Rangiku, she'd try.
"How're you two doing?" She liked to talk while she worked, kept the patient lucid, well, not that Rangiku was in danger at the moment, but it became habit to try and talk to those she was healing, make them laugh. "You should hear Ikkaku and Yumichika, they won't stop teasing me about my love life." That statement was followed by a small laugh.

"Yumi thinks everyone needs someone, and Ikkaku needs to hush. After all, he's dating that vain little featherhead."

"It's a nice house, too." She commented, not wanting to look around and admire because she was working.

"Mmmm... it is. I'll show you around when you're done if you like. Cobray did a good job." She sounded a little sad at that, remembering just who it was that caused the injuries that were being healed. Knowing that Ingram had been killed bothered her now, since she knew it had been Cobray's body...

"That would be nice." She said, managing a smile as she finished up. The actual healing of the back complete, she held out her still faintly glowing hand for Rangiku's, the crushed state worried her, and she would need to put a lot into this next one.
"Besides all that, you've been fine?"
no subject
"Don't overdo it, 'sane. It can heal some on its own..."
no subject
"There." She wiped her brow with the back of her hand. "I'll just do one last diagnostic run though, okay?"
no subject
With a shrug, she agreed, mind wondering a little as she did so. "Next time Ikkaku harasses you, tell him I'll kick his ass, ok? He knows I'll do it."
no subject
"Um... Rangiku?" Isane paused, a puzzled expression coming to her face at what she had found.

It had to be this City... their bodies weren't like they were in Soul Society, they were like gigai, almost, and... Isane shook her head fiercely, trying to make this all make sense, but it didn't...
"Um, I think you're pregnant." She finally blurted our, her confusion evident on her face from detecting the small reiatsu glow during her diagnostic.

"... this... is unbelievable... I wonder how far along it is... oh, gods... a baby..." Her voice trailed off into a soft, nervous chuckle.

"I'd say... not long at all. Less than three weeks, it's probably not shown up through hormone levels yet..."

"'sane... I'm gonna be a mom!"
no subject
"You're right, Rangiku." With a firm squeeze, Isane nodded, then suddenly drew back.
"But... you're right! There's so much to do, oh my goodness-"

"Oh my gosh, tell him right now, he's here, I'll go ahead home and rest..."

With another smile, she hugged Isane.

"I'll rest up, you go give him the good news, okay?" And with that, she was out the door.
