He was awfully tired, to say the least. He hadn't had a good rest since he was in the Museum. Octavius switched the lights off, as he was showed how, and then layed down.
Normally, he would have fallen asleep instantly, but this night his eyes were wide open.

Jed frowned as he wandered the empty halls of the Museum, glancing around to try and find...well...Larry! There was Larry! Jed jogged over, tugging at the nightguard's pantleg to get his attention. The giant looked down at Jed, and raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, Jed, what is it?" he asked.
"Hey, Larreh! I was jest wonderin' if yew've seen Octavius 'round here?" he asked.
"Who?" Larry asked, looking puzzled. Immediately, a cold sense of dread seemed to settle in the pit of Jed's stomach.
"Yew know, Octavius! Roman 'bout my hight with a bit ego and wearin' a skirt!" Jed insisted, but Larry only shook his head.
"Never met anyone like that, Jed. Are you feeling alright?" Larry asked. Jed gave no reply, only stumbled backwards, turning and running towards the diorama room. The halls stretched and became longer and longer and longer until he was just running and running and running with no idea where to go.
He paused for a second, panting, doubling over, his hands on his knees as he tried to catch his breath. That, of course, was when he noticed the roman helmet rolling towards him. His eyes widened, and he stooped to retrieve it.
He straightened, looking frantically around for any sign of who the helmet might belong to. "Octavius?" he shouted. "Octavius!" He began to jog forward again, helmet clutched tightly in his hands.
He let out a yelp as he slipped on something slick, landing hard on his back. He groaned in pain as he tried to sit up, but found the ground slick under his hand. He frowned, and held his hand up, paling at the sight of the dark red substance on his hand. Unfortunately, in his panicked state, he wasn't thinking of the fact that neither he nor Octavius could bleed.
Jed looked around frantically, eyes landing on a form a couple feet away, lying limply. A cold sense of dread filled the cowboy, and he crawled forward hastily, that sense of dread slowly climbing up his neck and to his throat, choking him, cutting off his air...
"OCTAVIUS!"
That shout was shouted into the room around him, and he flailed, twisting, his limbs getting tangled in the sheets, his flailing causing him to topple right off the edge of the bed and onto the floor with a loud "whump!"

"What's wrong, Jedediah?" he asked, worried.

Octavius. Whole. There. No Blood. Alive.
Jed started trembling.
"Do me a favor." his voice was hoarse and quiet, and he looked more pale in the light from the doorway than probably anyone had ever seen him.
no subject
"Yes, anything." he answered Jed, moving into the room and sitting on the end of the bed.

Hell, he wasn't good at veballizing these things. He was silent for a moment trying to put his request into the proper words.
"Jest...come...sit with me?"
He looked up at Octavius from the floor with wide, scared blue eyes.

"Did you have a night terror?"

"I got inter a fight wit Nightmare terday...think that might'a been it." the cowboy stated quietly, still shivering rather violently. However, Octavius's presence was slowly beginning to calm him down.
