Log, finished
When; Feb. 28th, night
Rating; PG-13 for languageand man hugs!
Characters; Kaku [
rankyaku_raffe] & Jyabura [
maten_rou]
Summary; So the amount ofshapeshifting weirdos Government Guys™ increases a little again. Thanks God. Pirates STINK, kthnx.
Log;
Well that weren't exactly the best days Jyabura had.
With Ao Kiji entering the City, the just calmed down situation got tense again. And very tense at that. It was bad enough if someone was after you and very likely your pregnant girlfriend too, but if that someone was not only your chief, but very much superiour to you in physical strenght... oh well. The wolf wasn't exactly scared, neither of a very unequal fight nor of dying. It was just annoying to assume that every minute you could end up as a fucking ice statue. If that bastard of an admiral would just attack him already. But hopefully he'd be busy with fighting the fire pirate, which was just another reason for Jyabura's annoyance.
In an extremely bad mood he was hunting in the forests for the new weird cat creatures, but barely managed to take one down. Weary and his mood not less bad, he returned to his apartment. Close to the door suddenly the scent of food reached his nose. Now that was weird. But definitely his apartment. Too tired to think about it, who cares.
He opened the door which was never locked anyways, just to see (and smell) someone he wouldn't have expected anymore in this City, and least in this kinda situation.

His blue eyes look to the door, where Jyabura stood. He swallow the food in his mouth before giving the wolf a smile. "I hope you're hungry,"

"W-what the..." he started to stutter like an idiot, too many thoughts at once flashing through his mind, unable to get in some kind of order. Jyabura's look finally reached the table, just to notice the damn brat ate away his food again. And drank away his sake, on top of it. "You!" he shouted and reached for the bottle, taking it away like it was the most precious thing in universe. "Who the fuck allowed you this?!" he continued and spotted with his finger on Kaku bluntly, before taking some deep sips.
"...and what the fuck are you doing here again?!" he added weak and confused, sinking back into the sofa with a deep sigh.

He slowly turn his head back, giving the man a bit of an angry scowl, "Figured you'd be happy to share your alcohol with an old friend! Especially one that made you dinner." He manage to stuff the remainder of the rice ball in his mouth, chewing it quickly. He attempted to speak while doing so, but his words were too muffled to make out, bits of rice falling from his lips and on his chest.

He'd probably prod Kaku playfully and tell him to stop being a bitch, but who knew what the boy was up to? Leaving without a word, returning and acting all too normal. Did he become stronger? And how much? What the fuck did he do back in their world anyways?
With a grumpy huff Jyabura continued to empty the bottle, leaning back into the sofa so much, he was more lying than sitting. "A fine friend you are, leaving me without a good-bye in this miserable city" he said with a smirk. "You think some rice balls can make that up?"

Kaku nuzzle into Jyabura a little before he sat up; not giving the wolf a chance to swat him. He took another rice ball and held it out the man. "Dinner tonight might not make up for it, but I'm sure dinner every night might at least start to make up for me vanishing." Kaku smiled warmly to the wolf; he was glad to be home. Although this world wasn't his world, it felt like home -- because his family was here.

With a smirk he took the rice ball in his one hand, in the other still clinging to the sake bottle. "That's a deal" he said. "I hope you're still up to date, concerning the rather weird situation in this place" he added in a serious tone. "Course I'd like to know what you've done, where you've been and for how long and all that" he said and bit half of the rice ball away, "and what the price was to get back." he added with a curious gaze, nothing left of the rice in his hand anymore. "Things here have changed a bit too, you know."

"... I gave up a memory," the redhead said, worrying his lip a little. "It was hard to pick which ones though..." The man play with his toes again. "I... didn't want to give up anything from Enies... I didn't... I didn't want to forget anything about you." The giraffe look to the man again, a little embarrassed after admitting that. "... So I gave up most of my years in Water 7."

"The cat is pissed cause his girlfriend left him" he started after a moment of thoughtful silence. "Whining after her like some fucking retard" he said with a grin, not making fun of the fact that Lucci did something like that, but of the fact that Lucci did something like that. "Things with Robin... go well" he added, "she's in the third month and the kid is dandy, as far as I know." Damn if that woman wasn't for some appointment with Isane yet. "Not so well with the bunch of filthy pirates around her, though", speaking actually of Sanji.
"Ah, and admiral Ao Kiji arrived a few days ago and imposed death penalty on me" he finished with a smirk. "Not that I can't understand that." he shrugged.

"See?!" he said, a little less than quietly as his human ears turn to flopping giraffe ears, almost awkwardly too large for his head. The giraffe horns sprout from back his head; the too-long tail swishing behind him. He flicker his ears, an almost child-like pout on his face. "Mhth thuung ith thoo lohhng," the red-haired man-giraffe said, as his long, black tongue flop out of his mouth with every word.
Quickly realizing how awkward he probably looked, Kaku allowed himself to revert back to full-human form; tongue and ears shrinking back to normal size, colour and texture, horns vanishing, as well as the tail. "I couldn't do that before, but now I can!"

With an indifferent expression he watched Kaku's little shapeshifting show that would have qualified him to enter a freak show without any problems. But the tongue-trick just took the cake and Jyabura really couldn't hold back a laughter. And he couldn't help it that his laughter was usually one of a dirty and mean sort, no matter how well his intentions were. "Well I bet that will scare the admiral to death!" he grinned, then nodded towards his shapeshifting ally respectfully.
"I see. You improved. I bet you got fucking stronger too, we should test this out sometime!" he said with anticipation of a hell of a sparring. "But as that bastard won't hurt Robin and my child, you have no reason to kick his ass." He finally emptied the sake bottle. "He can kill me, if he wants to. People here can't die, so who cares."

"Defending the traitor, huh? That turns you into a traitor, too." he said with a bitter smirk. "Listen kid, if I forfeit my life for something that wasn't under a good sign from the beginning, even though I do not regret a second of it, you mustn't do the same to defend me." Of course Jyabura didn't exactly like the whole death penalty thing, but he was strangely at peace with it. "I know you can't stand Robin, I don't expect you to, I just demand to not harm her. But if I have to die for her, I will" he said.
"She's my family. And I'd do the same for you. Dunno. Wolves have those... family bonds and all" he said and put his arm around the boy's neck.

His arms squeeze tighter around the man, shutting his eyes tight. "The greatest sin of all is to turn traitor to your kin."
no subject
He threw the empty bottle on the floor and put his free arm behind his neck. "Hey, I warned you, didn't I? And don't pretend that someone ever taught us morals" he said with a grin, but giving the left onigiri on the table a hungry look.

What irony that the only person he really wanted to hug wasn't here now. But distracting himself with small talk like that wasn't all bad.
