Log;

Despite all this time of travelling to different worlds, it was always a bit odd to be in a new place, and it took time to adjust. It had always been made easier by his friends and travelling companions being there with him, but Fai was alone this time. Or, at least he was until just now. Kurogane had apparently shown up in this odd city, and perhaps that meant that the others were not far behind. They had been separated before, and he was sure it would happen again, but it didn't mean that Fai liked it. Being alone made it easier for him to dwell on certain things, especially after the odd day he had spent trapped in his nightmares.

He shook his head, as if that alone would erase the thoughts that were tromping quite chaotically through his brain, and affixed his usual smile to his face, a mask that most did not care to look past. However, most did not include Kurogane, who was getting to know him far too well for Fai's mental well-being. The best thing for him to do was to truly forget about his dream, at least for the time being, or he would be called on his false smile. Thankfully, the prospect of being reunited with someone familiar, especially the tall ninja, brought a wide grin to his face. After all, all he had to do was think of how much fun it would be to tease the other man. His reactions were priceless, really.

Kurogane had not thought of a lock before ripping off his shirt and tossing it onto the floor. The drawers of the wardrobe seemed to contain clothes of every size, bewilderingly enough. It only compounded Kurogane's belief that this place was very, very fucked up. Who the hell left clothes in the drawer when they left a place, after all?

He was frowning in thought, still trying to figure out where this new piece of the puzzle fit in to the overall mosaic of wierd when the door hit the wall as it was flung open. As usual, Fai threw all of Kurogane's rational thought out the window.

"Wh-What the hell do you think you're doing, you damn stupid mage?! I'm trying to change here!" he exploded right on cue.

If only for a moment, one brief inexplicable moment, Kurogane blushed. And then it was gone, and he was throwing things.

"Isn't it polite to stay out of people's rooms when they're trying to change?! Hunh?!"

Breathing hard, he calmed down enough to huff and turn his back on the blond. Facing the wardrobe once again, he shifted through the bright colors immidiately, his eyes trained to look for things that would blend into the background of a night-time situation. There was even some stuff in here that would fit his large frame, which was surprising to say the least. The feeling of someone watching over them grew, but he brushed it off irritably for the moment with a frown.

Ignoring the fact that he might have been wrong about his claim on this room, he also ignored the bubbly presence standing over his shoulder.

But, of course, when Fai made a disgusted noise at one black shirt too many, he filled his deep lungs and spun around with the intention to start screaming again. He hadn't noticed how close Fai had been getting and now found them practically nose-to-nose. Instead, a frown fell around his face and he pushed forward, hands catching Fai in the shoulders and firmly placing him a good few steps away, out of Kurogane's personal space.

"If you've got something to say, then say it," he ground out between clenched teeth, the black shirt rapidly becoming wrinkled in his fist.

"Clothes don't have to be interesting," Kurogane grunted, dropping the shirt into Fai's care before turning back to the shelves to retrieve another, almost identical, unwrinkled black shirt. Knowing Fai's tendancy to be annoying about such things, he pulled it on quickly before it could be argued with and started doing up the annoyingly small buttons. Who made shirts with such small buttons for such a large guy anyways?!

A growl of fustration made it out of Kurogane's throat before he could catch it.

Kurogane stood, frozen-still, as Fai deftly did up the buttons on his shirt, and did his best to ignore the prickling sensation on his chest where those fingers lingered. Looking down on the mage darkly, he spent a very long moment wondering what the hell was going through that blond head before turning away.

"I need new pants," he grumbled, a little embarressed to be even having this conversation, as if he was a small child that needed his ward to be dressing him. Admittably, back in Japan Kurogane had people who dressed him on command as well, not that he took advantage of that.

Damnit, there was that attitude again.

Kurogane wasn't sure half the time what to do about it, so he settled for a brooding silence. He wasn't sure why, but he felt oddly accountable when it came to the mage's momentary lapses into seriousness, even though it was admittably his fault for encouraging them.

Dropping his ragged pants to the floor from the last world they had been in, Kurogane instead pulled on the new ones. They were a little too tight to be practical, but he could work with it.

Striding to the door when he was done, leaving the rest of the clothes in a mess on the floor, he slammed it open as he made his entrence into the living space.
