Wesley had been restless. Meeting Illyria here again was unsettling. He had known even as he had died that he was not going to find Fred again, that he was watching a decent impression.

But now, without Angel, without Gunn, and Cordelia, it was so much harder to watch the Old One walk around in poor Fred's shell.
This was why Wesley was eager to hear out what Juno Caplan had to tell him.

This was why, really he spent as much time wandering the city or holing up in the library as he could.
Juno had told him to meet her in room 302 of building 11, and so that was where he had gone.
--------------

Juno heard Wesley. She'd come from getting supplies. She immediately came over. "Hey,how's you?" She was concerned. He was new and she was not the best help. "I can unlock it if you like."
------------

"Yes, yes, it would be nice to get inside." it was still a bit nippy out.

"You'd said..? Well but I came because you'd been telling me you had some papers you wished me to look at? There was a murder...that was it, yes?"
----------------

"Yes, I was pretty out of it. I'll get them for you. I left the apartment a mess. Kind of funny, just was a complete wreck." She paused. She used the key to open the door.
----------------

This woman's an odd duck, Wesley thought, but who was he to complain? An assignment, perhaps, loomed over the horizon, and he would not complain for a bit of work. "Tragedy affects us all in strange ways."
-----------------

The walls had the killer's name all over the place. Botched symbols from the notes. She wanted out.

"I tried to recreate the portal out, follow the killer but it did not work, so then I tried to summon him." She pulled the notes from her back pack. "I just wanted to see my lover again and nothing worked."
----------------

The symbols and writing willy nilly on the wall tugged at Wesley's heart strings a moment and he had to stop and remember to breathe. Fred used to write on walls as well. Leftover strangeness from her days in Pylea, perhaps.

"You shouldn't play with this kind of thing." Wesley said, frowning as he studied the symbols. "there's no telling what kind of magick this killer was working with. I shall have to study your -lover?'s notes and see what he had come up with." The girl's lover, she had told him, was with the FBI. He'd hopefully know how to take notes on such phenomena as the man who has killed him.
Obviously though he had gotten too close.
