Summary; The Yellow God offers Gunzi a purpose.
Log;
The weather outside was quite pleasant, the sky nearly spotless, and the air clean and crisp, but, inside Gunzi's flat, the stench of blood still lingered. Dirty red stains marked most of the floor, a fair portion of the walls, and even some of the ceiling, streaked here and there. Having spent most of the day before puzzled at the sudden appearance of the blood when he hadn't killed anyone, he'd eventually given up trying to rub it off on the walls, and had fallen asleep on the floor. Unfortunately, on top of the laptop he'd stolen. He awoke to find it drenched in blood. Still working, but obviously not in the best condition.
"Nmm..." Giving the keys a poke, he frowned when the space bar wouldn't spring back up. "Still sticky." Talking to no one in particular, he swiped at the computer, sending it skidding across the floor whence it hit the far wall with a gentle thump. "Pffffff, maybe have to go steal a new one?"
Back in her home Lobsel Vith and Stan had decided to make the most of the gallons of blood that filled the tubs and the pools. Some crack jolt had teleported the blood over to Lobsel's place and the yellow one was not too pleased about this. Stan had suggested that they get down and bloody dirty. Lobsel had obliged.
Later that night, after the curse had passed and all the blood vanished Lobsel decided to check the network. A message by Gunzi, and the Yellow God was intrigued. She had offered to come over to Gunzi's place to clean his computer and to have a bit of cheesecake with him. (It was a crack really. She told him God was a cheesecake.) She told Stan where she would be, and after some hesitation she left for Gunzi's place. While walking was fun she wanted to be there as quickly as possible. Willing herself she found Gunzi's location and appeared before him.
"Speak. I am the Golden One"
As much as he'd been trained to fight, he really couldn't help but jump at the sudden appearance of the god behind him. Instinctively rising into a defensive pose, he raised his knuckle-claws in a ready-to-attack position before realizing who the other was. "Vivivi. Gold one?" Grinning, he cocked his head to the side, looking almost like a Cheshire Cat. "Don't look so goooolden, or you'd be shiny, yes?"
Giving a wild laugh, he nodded, sitting back down on the floor and looking up at Lobsel, the smile still on his face. "How did you find here? Never told location. God knows everything?"
Lobsel Vith smirked. "I suppose for of all intents I'd be shiny, but no. I get my color from fire." As if to prove her point she took her arm and in moments willed it into a blaze of fire. Not wanting to scare the lad she ceased the act.
And, Gunzi "It was your fantasy that called to me."
He hadn't flinced at the fire, but, instead, looked at her with a new interest, his eyes glinting beneath the fringe of wild hair. "Faaaaantasy?" The word was foreign to him, as it was not something people would mention much in the dreary world of Toshima. It meant...dream, right? The confusion made him grin. "Doesn't have dreams. What fantasy?"
"Have you ever wished for something that would make you happy Gunzi? To be free from Toshima and it's cruelties? A fantasy is happy thoughts." Lobsel Vith explained. "By the way, do you need a new computer?" she asked looking at the bloodied mess of a laptop.
"Free from Toshima." The phrase sounded strange, and he paused, thinking. For as long as he could remember, he'd lived in those dank alleyways, working for Arbitoro and kiling the rulebreakers. To be out of there?
"...doesn't know." ...what he didn't know, he disliked thinking about, so he instead issue the matter of the laptop, giving the forlorn, bloodstained mess a disdainful sniff. "Too sticky to use, weak, weak, with just a little blood."
Lobsel Vith looked at the laptop, and picked it up. "Here. You can borrow mine." Lobsel handed Gunzi another laptop.
Taking the proferred item, he poked at it for a few moments before turning back to Lobsel, grinning. "Why so nice? What reason, hey, didn't do anything but so nice so it's weird, y'know?"
Lobsel Vith sat on the floor stretching out her legs, and then idly playing with her toes. "I guess, it's because of my nature." she answered, looking up into Gunzi's face.
Opening up the laptop, he fiddled with it a few moments before turning back to her, stalking over in a somewhat dog-like manner, grinning. "Naaaaature. Then. God likes to help people?" The very idea of such benevolence amused him. "Really?"
"I'm not "God". God created me." she stopped herself deciding it best not to confuse the poor boy. "I'm more of a force actually. I am the one that lurks inside when you lust. I am the primal joy that cries out inside of all mankind." She raised her head up, and then said.
"Gunzi, thy name is orgasm."
"Orgasm?" The term was unfamiliar, for who really cared about technical terms in Toshima, where sex pretty much equaled brutal and violent rape? The word sounded strange in his mouth, and he decided he didn't like it too much. "Name is Gunzi. Not ogarsm. Gunzi." Grinning, he jangled the string of dogtags at his belt. "Known as Punisher Gunzi, not anything else, yes?"
Lobsel cocked her eyebrows. "No, Gunzi. My name, one of my titles is orgasm. I am the God of primal joy. In the beginning humans had nothing. No death, no salvation, no joy. Nothing." Lobsel Vith let out a soft sigh.
"I admit you remind me of someone. That's why I want to ask a favor."
"Favor?" At the word, he perked up. A couple years of working in service for someone else had made him used to taking orders, and, despite his love of freedom, some part of him probably still wanted something more concrete, more established to do. Leaning back, he nodded, his bangs parting slightly to reveal a concentrated gaze. "Maaaaybe. Depends on what it is."
Lobsel smiled. "There's another God here. He goes by Xuchilbara, and he has an angel known as "Pyramid Head" who's a punisher too." Lobsel Vith continued, "While I wish no harm upon Xuchilbara's flock I fear for my potential flock. I'm no good and punishing. Having sex, oh yeah I can do that. Punishing someone by physical means? Nope, not in my nature."
She paused, and finally asked, "Will you be the protector of my flock? The one who punishes those who harm us?"
Now, this was familiar territory. Unconsciously, his fingers tightened around the handle of his knuckle-claws, the razors ends of the blades resting on the floor. For now. Throwing back his hand, he gave a howling laugh, almost like a hyena before looking back at Lobsel. "Don't know protecting. But fighting, can do. What flock? Fight who? Rules?"
"The flock so far consists of myself, for I am the Shepherd. Stanley Coleman, and Joseph Schreiber. Plus anyone else who chooses me, and I choose myself. You will fight anyone who attempts to harm the flock for no great reason.
The rules. You will NOT kill just anyone. You will stay away from a woman named Alessa Gillespie. In return I will offer you a better place for you to live. You will be fed well, and your desires taken care of." (
Of the rules, only one really caught his attention. "...no killing?" If he were a dog, his tail would have been drooping. Not necessarily because he consciously enjoyed killing, but fighting with death was a much more difficult task. "...too hard. Why? Whywhywhy?"
"Let me rephrase. If the person is does not deserve death, you will not kill them. Understand?"
This one deserved a moment of thought. Giving a small groan, he looked at the other, something akin to a pout on his face. "Deserve. How?" This was so much more complicated than in Toshima. "Rulesrulesrules. Breaks rules, then kills? Or...?"
"Rules. If for example someone decides they want to harm my flock. You will kill them. However you will not kill someone for walking down a road." Lobsel Vith explained as she stood up and walked close to Gunzi, looking into his face. (ep)
"Waaaant to harm flock. Wolf after sheep, hehehehe, red riding hood kills the wolves!" After thinking a moment, he nodded, the familiar mad grin returning to his face. Fair enough. Giving a low laugh, he looked up at her. "Protect the sheep, okay, okay. Can do, yes. If killing wolves, then yes yes,"
Lobsel Vith smiled, and then replied "Thankyou Gunzi. Your reward shall be great." with that done. The yellow God then asked, "Was there something else you wanted?"
Reward? Cocking his head to the side in a rather doglike manner, he thought for a moment. "Waaaaaants...." There really wasn't anything in particular. After a long moment, he looked at her. "Nothing. Not now. Later, maybe, food, drink, blood, fun, hehehe, not now." Ulver09 (1:51:50 AM): "Very well then. Since you're now one of my Chosen you can stay at my home. It's quite large, and more pleasant than this place." Lobsel said,
"By the way, what do you mean by fun?" she asked.
"Fun!" Speaking a wild, rambling tone, he shot off a meandering list, grinning the entire time. "Walk Pochi, fight with old man, fight with rulebreakers, eat, drink, sleep, live, tease Pochi, run, run, run, fun!" The list ended with another wild laugh. "You?"
"Those sound exciting." Lobsel mused. "I have to be honest. My idea of fun is sex, sex, and occassionally burning things and performing alchemy."
"Burning thiiiiings." Setting things on fire, he'd done occasionally, but the last one was new. "Alchemy?"
"It's transforming something, into something new. Using fire to turn a dirty piece of lead into gold".
"Lead to gold?" His curiosity piqued, he pointed at the bloodied laptop, grinning. "Lead to gold. Blood and computer to what? Can change? Or needs fire?"
"I'm more into spiritual alchemy. Transforming humans into divine beings. Unfortunately this is my power that has weakened the most." Vith explained.
"Change humans?" Getting up, he slouched before her, circling once and looking at her carefully, a scrutinizing expression on his face. "How? Doesn't make sense, humans don't change, always skin and bone and blood, y'know?"
"I'm living proof that it happens, that it can happen" Lobsel explained.
"So you. Human once, then fire." What a strange concept. "Change from blood to something else, ehehehehe, weiiiiird."
"Yes." Lobsel said somewhat sadly. "My, mother burned me when I was little. I couldn't die, so I stayed in a coma for many years. Then something happened. I became renewed. Born again, and more holy. I became my trueself."
"True self. Then really fire under all that blood and bone. Burn, burn, burn!" His voice starting to take a wild edge again, he leered at her. "Don't know when little. Couldn't die. Good in the end, yes, yes? All alive and can burn alive, so it's okay, y'know."
"I suppose it is." Lobsel Vith smiled at him. She then reached out her hand. "My skin is warmer than most. Are you curious?" she asked.
He stared at her warily for a moment, down at her hand, then back at her before reaching out to poke her hand, flinching at the warmth. "Fire inside, then. Burning all the time, hehehe." Snickering, he gestured wildly. "Aaaaaalways blazing, red, orange, yellow, burn! Ahahaha!"
"Yes, fire inside." Lobsel Vith then replied. "If there's nothing else you wish for. I shall be leaving. Unless you wish me to show you your new home."
"Show!" He was prone to get lost unless he knew directions, and he got glanced at the door (also stained with blood), grinning. "Better place, yes? Weird. Always lived in Toshima, so, all new, hehe."
"So that's a yes right? very well, we'll walk there." Lobsel replied.
"Okay!" The dog tags at his belt jangling, he circled her once before falling behind her, humming a meaningless tune.Ulver09 (2:19:08 AM): The yellow God lead the way as Gunzi hummed a tune. Past many people they walked, and finally to the Underground they were. She continued to walk until both in front of a mahogony door with a placard that read "Den of Fire". She opened the door that lead into a large room with soft red carpet. In the center were several couches arranged in a semi-circle surrounding a large screen TV. (Stan loved his TV) To the left and right were hallways. Each one containing three rooms each with it's own bathroom.
"Let me show you your room." LV stated.
Scuffing his feet on the carpet, he nodded, following closely behind her and taking in his surroundings. All the gold and splendor reminded him of his old master's stronghold, but the atmosphere was less...morbid.
She lead him to his room. A large dwelling that dwarfed the place he was living by a long shot. The carpet was a warm red color, the walls painted a dark brown mahogony like color. In the center was a canopy bed decorated in dark colors. At the right wall was a dresser and table. To the left was a closet, and close by the door to the bathroom. "Does this suit you?" she asked.
Doglike, he circled the room once, closely examining the furniture with suspicious glances before turning to her and laughing. "Okay, okay, all fine! Little weird, so different from Toshima, but okay."
Lobsel Vith smiled at the insane man, and said "You have a place to rest. Now, is there anything else you want? A fantasy you need fulfilled?"
"No, no." Throwing off his weapons, he tossed them on the dresser, looking satisfied as they clanked against each other. Slinking up to her, he gave her a wide smile. "Most people say thank you, right? Don't know that word. But same thing."
Lobsel smiled. The fire in this one was great, but she had other matters to intend to. Namely Stanley Coleman.
"You're welcome." She turned around and walked out the door.
