Summary; Sakura and MOMO have a sisterly chat before MOMO leaves the City.
Log;
Ever since MOMO had said she wanted to talk to her, Sakura had been curious. And Rubedo had left somehow, managed to go home. Even though chaos had said it would be alright, and surely Rubedo wouldn't abandon anyone...but the brunette was still feeling slightly lonely and worried.
So it was with a slightly worried expression and furrowed brow that Sakura wandered down the halls of the Durandal to the gardens where she'd agreed to meet MOMO.
Realistic thinking was her forefront, but it didn't stop the one hundred series prototype from wondering. Unlike when Ziggy had left, the Realian had been able to detect a flux within the City barrier, a difference that she was sure she could trace. But first, she needed - wanted? no, needed - to make sure that out of everyone currently within the City, that Sakura Mizrahi was alright. MOMO wasn't sure if she would return, nor when - though given the probability rate of reoccurances and the manner in which the City held those alive over those dead there was a sixty point one percent chance she would return. Seventy-three point four that Jr. would.
And that was why she wanted - needed? it was hard to tell which word should be used when - to see the very girl who was walking towards her and looking troubled. The Realian tried her best smile.
"Sakura."
Finding the Realian already in the gardens, Sakura looked at the pink-haired copy of herself and tried her own smile. "Hello, MOMO." Pausing slightly, she glanced down at the ground before looking back up and tilting her head slightly before asking, "You said you wished to talk to me?" No-- that was obvious, MOMO had said as much over the network. Realizing that the question had been poorly phrased, the girl looked down at the ground again, slightly abashed, before trying again. "I mean...is there something going on, MOMO?"
"You have no doubt noticed that Jr. is gone." A simple, and obvious statement - chaos had already pointed it out. He'd probably notice when - if - she left too. He was... Observant like that. An enigma her servers could only just understand. But he wasn't the issue at hand she had to - needed to, something like that? - make sure that Sakura wasn't feeling sad, alone. Daddy had created them both, in a sense, one more naturally than the other, held in equal regard for what they were - children. His children. And MOMO couldn't deny the part of her programming that indicated that Sakura Mizrahi was and always would be someone to take care of. "I, I wanted to make sure you weren't lonely." It was an interesting word, indeed an interesting feeling for something with a simulated personality, but since being in the City she had begun to notice what it was more than before.
"Oh." Surprised, the brunette looked over at the girl. MOMO's concern was touching- and Sakura looked down at the ground again before looking up at MOMO again and smiling, a real one this time, Fourteen years before she'd told Rubedo to take care of the sister that was soon to be born. MOMO's concern was the sisterly type that she'd looked forward to all those years before.
"I'm alright, really. I have you, and chaos has been helpful, and... it's not that bad really." Eyes momentarily clouded and cleared. "I do miss him though."
She had... MOMO? She smiled, happy and repentant all at once. "He will come back to this place... The Durandal is here." Sakura was here, too, and that was the other reason... Sakura and Elena. MOMO's fondness for the U.R.T.V. didn't need to be affected by the difference that was living and dead, one world and the other. When she returned, Jr. would be there. Her logic pointed to that, told her she didn't need to feel sad that Ziggy wasn't here, that Jr. had left, that she didn't have Juli Mizrahi to turn to. And her logic overrode the basic feeling that was fear that she wouldn't see him again, because it wasn't true. "chaos is always helpful. I'm glad you get on well."
"Mm, he was really happy when the Durandal showed up, wasn't he?" Sakura felt like she was clutching at whatever ideas proffered themselves- she couldn't just believe that he was gone, that she would never see him again-- But MOMO was certain, positive, and the brunette could see it in her face, that Rubedo would return. Taking comfort from that solidness, Sakura smiled again. "He's been very kind. ...I'm...glad I got to meet him." Thoughts of how chaos had reassured her after Rubedo's disappearance surfaced. He will abandon no one. "chaos told me...that Rubedo wouldn't abandon anyone. I know he wouldn't, not on purpose."
Ah, this was... Reassuring. "None of us would abandon you." Not willingly, not fully. Not when she'd finally had a chance to meet, to understand and get to know the original, the person she was created for, because of, in memory of. MOMO smiled at her sisters smile, nodded. "Jr. will do his best for you. He's always held you in his-" the right word, the right emotion was needed "-heart." Synthetic body, AI system, but fully sincere, merely trying to comfort her sister because that was what they were - sisters. "It will be okay."
Eyes bright with tears? happiness? worry?, Sakura took the few steps forward between her and her double, and wrapped her arms around the sister she had wanted to meet so long ago, and barely squeezed the other girl's shoulders in a light hug. "I'm really glad I got to meet you, MOMO." Pulling back, she let a hand rest for half a moment on the pink-haired girl's elbow. "Everyone here-- they're so kind. But especially you-- I'm so glad."
"I am... glad you are glad." It was an odd way of expressing it, but her functions were registering it in that manner, and the small Realian couldn't rephrase it any better. She returned the hug, not unused to shows of affection, hoping it would be enough. She planned on leaving too, after all, so it wasn't that she was loathe to part or any of that, just that though she knew what was customary, none of it seemed to fit. She didn't want Sakura to know she planned this, didn't want her to feel as if she was being left out of something. So with a smile the young girl simply repeated, "It will be okay."
Sakura smiled at the odd phrasing, but nodded. She really was glad she'd been able to meet all the people she had, and to meet MOMO, after all that time... the brunette was overwhelmed by gratitude. She was her friend, Rubedo was her friend, they were all her friends, and they would not abandon her. It would be okay.
