Log;

The vampire had been brooding and morose since Integral left. His moods were mercurial and his temper shorter and sometimes violent. Though his offer to Walter had been sincere and calming in a way, the vampire would now have a blood relation in this world and that thought soothed him. The scene was set, a dark room, candles lit, yes, Alucard did enjoy a few theatrics.

Walter pushed open the door to Alucard's room slowly. To the casual observer, he would have seemed as normal, but subtle changes in his body language betrayed his nervousness to Alucard. Somehow, this world, and not remembering his transition to millennium vampire had made it all seem like a dream. Now he was finally making a conscious choice to become a true nosferatu, to leave all his humanity behind finally, it was so much more real. "Well." He said, briskly, not really looking at Alucard's face cast into deep shadow by the candlelight. "Let's get this over with, shall we?" The vampire's grin was maddening, features contrasted between pale flesh and shadows that danced with the flicker of the candles' flames. "Get this over with? Tsk, you certainly aren't in a nostalgic mood, Walter. Remember when I have asked you this before and you had denied and denied? Allow me to . . savour the moment. As you should savour it, the memories of what has been done to you, the control over yourself and your power, it will be fully yours." Almost.

"Savour? You mean gloat." Walter said, bitterly. He had been proud of keeping his humanity, of being strong enough to fight creatures with many times his strength. Millennium had stolen that away from him, and it made him angry. He didn't want Alucard rubbing it in that now he was having to come to him to have it fixed by providing the very thing he'd refused all these years..

"Humanity is a grand thing, I was proud that you kept it, old man," Alucard replied. "However, it was taken from you, and I will give you the power to overcome that. To serve humans as I do." Then paused, rising, "Come, I will make this. . quick. There will be pain afterwards, of course, but that is to be expected as my blood eats away the artifices of Millenium."

Walter smiled wryly, but the comments made him feel a little better. "Well, I'm hardly a stranger to pain now, am I?" He walked towards Alucard, his friend of many years... if one could call a creature like that a friend... and waited a foot or so in front of him, for the inevitable spike of pain, and then whatever unknown thing would happen afterwards.

The vampire gave another cheshire grin and closed the space, shadows surrounding Walter. Fangs glittered in the light and the prick of them against Walter's neck was smooth, barely noticable. Having his blood drawn was slightly uncomfortable for a fellow predator, but not painful, rather enticing. Walter clenched his fists, pushing down the dark roiling wave that threated to engulf him. He would not be overwhelmed. He would not allow himself to relax. He was gaining new skills, that was all. Working to become stronger, more powerful, more capable of fighting, hunting. He would not enjoy this, he would never go to that place again.
Deep in Alucard's chest was a rumble of amusement and pleasure, Walter was a fighter, always had been and that was not changing now. A pointed tongue lapped at the wounds as fangs withdrew and mouthful after mouthful of blood was swallowed.

The weakness it caused was insufferable, the feeling of the life and strength draining out of him. Walter felt Alucard laughing at him, and clutched at the creature's coat, half in anger and half for support, gritting his teeth and preventing himself from tearing his body away from the leech attached to him. The rumble of amusement changed to something of a purr as the vampire pulled away and licked his fangs and mouth. "Your turn. . " He fairly purred, stale breath stirring the hair around Walter's ear. "Where would you like it?" Walter shook his head, unable to reply, his legs ready to collapse out from under him. It was only through sheer iron willpower that he managed to overcome his disgust and fear, dragging himself upright to a level with Alucard's shoulders. He had to think of this as just another hunt, just another open vein. But it was impossible not to know it was Alucard, not to feel the deep terror in the black mass next to his body, barely holding human shape, a mask lightly worn over a faceless evil. He leaned over what Alucard was presently using as a neck and sank his teeth in. The blood was lukewarm, room temperature, obtained from a room-temperature body, not hot and spilling as he was used to. He forced himself to swallow, and felt the power flow into him, heard the screams for release of hundreds of thousands of victims throughout the ages, imprisoned inside the form before him.

Alucard allowed Walter a small, unrestricted view of his mind, of the souls enslaved there, perhaps a preview of what Walter had to look forward to in the near future. It was only a glimpse, however, until the wall slid down over his mind and Walter saw nothing but their own past memories. The vampire was used to having his blood taken and gave willingly. After a bit, he pressed fingers under Walter's jaws and triggered the pressure point there, taking the fangs from his neck and guiding Walter's head away. "There you go, old man," Alucard fairly purred, wounds healing, helping Walter over to a chair. Walter clutched at his temples, barely aware of Alucard guiding him to sit down. Everything was swallowed up in the cold fire running through his veins, burning out of him everything Millennium had put in, and worse, destroying the last vestiges of humanity. He felt as if he was filled with anger, and hunger and intense desire all at the same time. To have taken this directly from the source was almost too much for him. The power was maddening. His body felt fluid, as if he had the potential to become anything, but couldn't quite access it just yet because of all that pesky agony. He gritted his fangs again and tried to ride it out. Slender fingers drew through Walter's hair, attempting to soothe him, "Do not fight it, allow my blood to work through you." He could feel the blood healing and destroying, destryoing and healing. Then he half smiled and waited. Walter would be different, of course, stronger, more agile than even Millenium's workings could make him. The ties were forming, the vampire could feel Walter now, as blood of his blood. Alucard's words were no longer only entering his brain through his ears, but seeming to rise through his spine and appear in his head. The other vampire was his only guide now. The agony was insufferable and the urge to give in too strong. Walter let his hold over himself slip, praying this was the right thing to do. The blood welled up inside him, overflowing into his mind, cementing the link to Alucard. Strength, power, filling him and eliminating the last of Herr Doktor's wizardry. His muscles finally relaxed and he fell back, exhausted into the chair, brushing against Alucard's hand as he did. Feeling Walter slip, Alucard helped to guide the blood, ensuring that the damage was healed fully and completely. No use in accidentily harming the fledgling, now was there? And of course, he would have to teach this one. But Walter was a more astute student than Seras Victoria.

Oblivious to Alucard's plans, Walter gave way to blessed unconsciousness, unable to keep his exhausted mind running and too late to worry about what he would wake up as.
