Edmund is actually at work tonight - he hopes a member of his family might show up, but he's also wondering who else might show up. He's made sure that he's well staffed for the extra crowds and well stocked, no less.

He just hopes nothing gets out of control.

And of course, that a member of his family shows up, looking for him.

[ Ladybird's hand moves to cover Josias's around the body of his glass and then, deftly, plucks the detestable thing from his grasp, depositing it on the table and reclaiming the now empty hand for her very own. She slides it over the round of her knee, bare beneath the wispy fabric of her skirts.

When Josias looks at her mouth, she offers him a nasty little smile. Bait for a tiger's maw. ] An epic quest, he say. Where on earth shall we find one of those, I wonder.

His glances away from her mouth for a moment, down to his hand where she's placed it on her knee. He strokes his thumb over the skin slowly, before looking back to her, his hand drifting further up under the light fabric of her dress. His tone turns shocked - scandalised, even.] Did you kidnap it, Ladybird? My sense of fun.
