Summary; Xena and Eowyn bump into each other.
Log;

Eowyn had been graced not to have been affected by the past few curses. There was a high tension in the air, only enhanced by the presence of the plagues that cursed the City, and although Eowyn could not put a name or a face to whatever it was that was threatening the people here, she still wanted to do something to help.

That was why she had been practicing with her sword and battle techniques more than usual. She genuinely wished to join the foreign king's army because it seemed like no one was really wanting to take action. She wanted to fight - it was in her blood. As a warrior maiden, she had a duty to uphold.

Xanadu was sunny, quiet, and warm, and the fragrance of the flowers filled the breeze. Eowyn had discovered quickly that Xanadu was the perfect training spot, and she savored her surroundings as she crossed the vast lawn. The sound of a battle cry drifted through the air towards her, and she prompted her horse to a canter as she grew closer to the source.

Eowyn reined in her horse in surprise. A young woman, perhaps no older than herself, was doing practice rounds with a sword. She wore black leather armor, and the Rohan woman could tell just by looking at the stranger that she knew what she was doing. She watched in awe for a moment or two, unable to think or say or do much of anything. It wasn't every day that she met a woman as capable in battle as herself.

Xena woke early to see what the day held. She was aware of the man called Moses or the plight that his people endured but had not devoted herself to studying each and every misfortune the stories held. Seeing a pure, clean sunrise she stepped out. Most of the City was still asleep, but not the warrior woman.

Xanadu proved to be a peaceful, secluded spot for her to train. Swordplay was something Xena practiced constantly. In the motions she found peace for her troubled thoughts. In this element there were no gods and no concerns of an ending world, merely the strength of her body and steadiness of breath.

Dimly, she became aware that someone had come near. She slowed her movements and happened to see a familiar fairhaired maiden. Xena stopped and turned to her, an amused smile at her lips.

The sheild-maiden's hair caught the sunlight while on saddle. Xena smile widened slowly. "No apologies needed."

Xena stepped forward, for the time being sheathing her sword. "I believe we had spoken briefly before. I had been looking for my horse. I guess she isn't here..." She cleared her throat. "I am Xena," she felt slightly daunted not to have so many titles. "Warrior Princess" was not a banner she upheld privately.

"I recall seeing your name on the roster of Leonidas' army. I thought it'd be best to actively practice." She gestured slightly to the garden around her.

Protecting people...won't feel so helpless. Xena swore she heard her voice saying these exact words. Where they one and the same...? Impossible. She dismissed the thought right away. "I had heard of hearts being stolen, I take it was not in the positive sense. It sounds like a very valid reason to be concerned."

She looked away from the younger woman to her horse out running. Argo was definately missed. Her attention turned back to her hearing that she wanted to train as well. "Of course you may. It's always better with a live opponent."
