Summary: Minions! It's no fun to be Dracula without minions. Katou unwittingly becomes the first target.
Log:

The ultimatum that had been broadcast to the City at large both amused and annoyed Dracula. He rather enjoyed the reactions displayed by several residents so far, but he chafed at the idea that he should owe others anything for any purpose, save the deal he had made to obtain eternal life.

Despite the looming deadline, Dracula had other business to attend to. He required servants in this place, and a particular young man had attracted his attention. The vampire had hopes that the boy would be useful.

"Only a few moments of your time," Dracula replied with a gracious smile that nevertheless kept his fangs from sight. "We spoke not so long ago. I offered to show you what power is."

"Oh, you were that guy." Katou said, the conversation coming to him. He remembered how creepy it had sounded, but not enough to warrant too much worry.

"So, what do ya mean by 'showing me power'?" Katou asked, mostly out of boredom, he didn't really think Dracula was a real threat yet. Just a weirdo.

Dracula's smile widened, exposing his fangs.

"This."

The vampire had Katou pinned to the wall before he could move, one clawed hand around his throat. His other was raised to his lips, and he carefully bit into the pad of his thumb. Dracula forced the bleeding digit past Katou's lips.

"What the fu-"

Before Katou could say anymore in reaction to Dracula showing his fangs he was against the wall, the apparently very sharp claws in his throat. Before anymore questions could be asked the digit was in his mouth and the bitter taste of copper and salt filled his mouth. Before he could even stop the reaction he'd swallowed the blood that was already in his mouth before attempting to bite down on Dracula's thumb.

There was power in Dracula's blood, as there was in any vampire's. This exchange was minimal. Katou would be subject to Dracula's control, but the connection would only work one way.

"You are mine. You will serve my purposes in this place. Perform your tasks well, and you will be rewarded. You will be granted the strength you lack."

Katou wiped some blood that had trickled onto his chin away and glared at Dracula. What was it with people choosing him to be their puppets?! First Rosiel and then Enra-O. And now this guy.

"So I'm your servant?!" Katou asked, the anger in his tone clear.

"Yes." Dracula drew back, satisfied with his choice. The boy might be difficult, but his very obstinacy was part of what the vampire fond appealing. "You have a choice. You may do as I ask willingly, or you may fight and be forced into slavery. It's up to you ... Of course, one option will bring more rewards than the other."
