Log; ongoing

When; Today, er, after lunch?
Rating; PG-13/R for character's death.
Characters; Setsuna ([livejournal.com profile] not_alexiel), Sara ([livejournal.com profile] guardiansin), Kira ([livejournal.com profile] noswordjokesplz) and Kirie ([livejournal.com profile] angelic_fangirl). Maybe Uriel at the end?
Summary; To "save" the world that was destroyed anyway, Kirie wants to offer the "noble sacrifice" of her dearest Sara-chan. Maybe even the powerless Messiah! Only she didn't count of that pesky, overprotective best friend who is following them. If Kirie wanted to protect the world, might as well become the sacrifice, right? ♥
Log;

Since yesterday Kirie had waited patiently from a small abandoned shop a block away from the Firehouse. Her aura was weak and likely went unnoticed by the high angels who fretted about curses, illness or the end of the worlds.

Again.

She remained ever vigilant, surrounded by scattered manikins she had practiced her aim with. The angel brushed a strand of her hair, knotted the black ribbon around her wrist and grinned at the sight of the door of the Firehouse finally opening.

This wasn't an evil deed. Sara was the type of person who should have martyred herself. She just needed a little push towards the right direction.

Flat-heeled shoes clicked against the sidewalk when she took a few steps away from the doorway of the firehouse. Turning about and stopping, the blonde-haired girl stood there waiting for her brother and his friend to come outside as well. Despite all the plagues and curses of the city it was agreed that a least a short walk could be sparred for air, as well as to go retrieve some groceries for themselves. In a building of angels and humans things were constantly busy.

It was nice to get away if even just for an hour or two. What wasn't all too peachy keen was the fact Sara's head still throbbed a little from the curse that previous day. The fever had been caused by it but smacking her head against the wall and floor weren't. The headaches had remained even after the curse had been lifted at midnight. With her left hand she rubbed at the still sore patch, wincing a bit as she muttered, "Eh... I still have a small headache. Just how hard did I bump my head again?"

"I don't know, but we could hear it all over the firehouse," Setsuna replied without thinking as he left the building. Giving his sister a softer look, he added, "We can get some asprin while we're out, unless you'd like a healer to see to it?"

It was a relief to see her up and about after the fall; she had made quite the thud, after all, and the City already caused him to worry for her. He stood beside her for a moment and gently brushed a piece of hair the color of his own from her cheek. "Is it bad, Sara?" There was no need to ask where it hurt this time.

"Aspirin will be fine. It's not like I got a concussion or anything - just a bump, really." As always she smiled brightly to further back this up. And it really wasn't too bad. Like she said it was only just a headache pounding away which could easily be fixed with some water and medicine.

Though she couldn't help the tiny blush across her cheeks at his simple gesture. "Don't worry yourself too much, Setsuna. I'll be just fine!"

He grinned a bit as her face colored. One of the few positive aspects of life in the City was the ability to be open with their affection without backlash. They weren't the most unusual relationship in town by far, and people had bigger issues to fret over.

"Good," Setsuna's smile mirrored hers as he took her hand, ready to begin their outing with Kira. "Alright, aspirin it is! Our first stop!"

Automatically she laced her fingers with his, smiling even more warmly than ever. of course when she looked to the doorway, obviously still waiting, she a made little face to show her impatience. Left foot tapping and her free hand on her hip, "Well, we can once sempai decides to hurry up!"

Kira finally closed the door to their rooms after having disentangled himself from Metatron. The kid was terribly cute, but also, no matter how angelic, a kid - and thus sometimes stubborn, whiny or downright bratty. Kira almost sighed of relief, but kept his countenance, as he was accustomed to do. Slinging Shiranui over his shoulder, he made his way toward the firehouse's main entrance with hurried steps. He let a small smile show on his face when he saw his friends, holding hands, Sara seeming quite impatient.

"Sorry, Metatron insisted on coming with us. Couldn't have that, today's for grown-ups." His smile widened to a playful grin. "So, where do you plan on going first?"

"Well you can't blame the poor boy! He's such a sweetheart! I'll have to remember to get him something too, like cookies!" Even though Sara was warm-hearted to everyone of her friends and loved ones, she always found the angel to be one the sweetest beings she had ever known in her life [ooc; lives? :B].

Even with the madness of the city it was amazing that she could still be as chipper and cheerful as she always has been - save for the headache that still liked to remind her that it was still around. "Maybe the grocery store first? We can get the food now and some aspirin. It's better to get the chores out of the way first before goofing off."

[identity profile] noswordjokesplz.livejournal.com 2007-04-27 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"Of course he is, both of them are." He paid heed to the cookie idea. "I'll get something similar for Tiara, then." Sara's mention of aspirin reminded him of yesterday's ordeal. No surprise that it had been him who'd had to play nurse for all the sick ones either; not that he really minded. Which hadn't kept him from griping about it in a half-serious way from time to time - he had not fully dropped the act of keeping up a "bad boy" facade yet.
But it had never overshadoved his loyalty to his friends - which was why he was accompanying them now. With Setsuna powerless, them being attacked by something or someone in this City seemed more than likely. Oh well, that's what swords - or ex-swords - where there for.
"Okay, let's get that done first. How are you feeling today, anyway?"

"I'm feeling all right, aside from the headache," she replied with a quiet smile. Soon it would be easily cured by some Advil once they were off! And thusly she looked from Kira to Setsuna, as if silently asking if it was okay to start their little day trip.

Setsuna had been quiet during Sara and Kira's exchange, for the moment just enjoying being with his two favorite people. It was one of the other positive aspects of life in the City because such a scene was only possible there; whenever he and Sara returned home, Kira could not come with them.

Catching Sara's look, he proclaimed, "And we'll be getting that knocked out right away!" He made as if to take a step forward, planning to continue if his companions followed, and shot his sempai a grin. "C'mon Kira, let's get my girl some medicine."

He did his damndest not to let it show too much, but Kira oh-so-terribly enjoyed seeing his two friends in such a good mood. They had gone through a lot for being so young, and it was quite a feat on their part to have gone through it all so well.

He'd make sure it stayed that way. "Okay, let's get going then." He also looked at both before setting off, his step none too fast.
