When; Monday, May 7th, night
Rating; PG?
Characters; Rangiku
10thdiv_haineko and Aizen
good_and_proper
Summary; Rangiku gets a visitor during her nightly walk. Words and other things are exchanged.
Log;
Evenings around the manor house were quiet affairs, if you don't take into account the odd household. This evening had found Rangiku in the possession of a weeping girl and it'd taken a good long time to calm her enough to stop making the windows spiderweb or the lights flicker ominously. Once she’d calmed down enough to doze off, Rangiku had carried her to her often unused private room and laid her on the neatly made bed, then climbed to her usual perch on the roof.
Peace didn’t find her in her usual meditations, so she carefully dropped from the rooftop into the soft grass surrounding the manor. The evening was a little cool, as spring evenings were want to be, and the sky above was cloudy. Not an ideal night for her, but it would do. She needed some physical activity to help clear her mind before she returned to her home and her slightly grumpy Consort.
Her footsteps were quiet in the slightly damp grass as her mind wandered. She’d begun to explore the intricacies of the Mark she now bore and could feel the presence of a different power not quite her own just under her own reiatsu. It was an odd feeling, but she knew she wouldn’t be able to explore it further until after the baby was born and she was back to her full strength.

"Aizen. What're you doing here?"

He reached out for her daggered hand.

"Not even a zanpakutou. How sad," he said, quickly passing her and appearing direcly in front of her path of transit.
"You will come with me," he sternly stated, releasing a wave of his reiatsu to try and knock her out without harming her.

"Leave me along, Sousuke."

"I think not. You have no choice. I will make you know remember the truth about Gin," he said, drawing his sword, "Now look."
The world around her began to shift and dissolve into darkness.

"NO."

He began to move toward her, reaching out once more.
"Don't fight it."

"Awaken," he said, nudging her gently with his energy, "Awaken, Rangiku Matsumoto, and see what you have lost."
He called on Kyouka Suigetsu to set the scene. The area where she and Gin grew up.

"You can see it, right? That shining beacon, there. I hope to see you both one day, within those walls."
Aizen turned his head at a noise. Several figures began to approach them.
"Children, I think you should get behind me," he said, touching the ground and setting them down.

Her view was cut short, however, when they were lowered to the ground. The figures approacing them were some of the rougher men in their district. Rapists at best. They were known to kill for sport and they loved children.
Silently, Rangiku shied behind Aizen, her small hand tangling in the back of his robes as she peered around him. Without thought, her other hand sought out Gin's.

Aizen's smile was blank, empty, though the children couldn't see his face from where they were.
"I don't suppose I could convince you to turn back and leave, yourselves?" he asked, mock sincerity in his voice, "I don't want trouble."
The second of the other men advanced, "I'll show you tr..."
The man's voice was cut off as his head was, the round object falling into a nearby ditch. To the untrained eye, it didn't even look like Aizen had moved. He sighed deeply and shook his head.
"Then I suppose it can't be helped," he said, extending his reiatsu as the men began to scream in fear. The screaming ended within moments, the men dead all around them. Crushed by his terrible spiritual pressure.
"...I think I overdid it."

"Ah, Rangiku," Gin said, "Good to see you this afternoon."

"Hi, Gin... been a while, huh?"
no subject
He looped an arm over her shoulders and threw his head back to laugh.
"Oi, Rangiku, let's sneak out tonight. I know a bar we can hit up in secret!"
no subject
"Well, maybe for a little while... but you're buying. I paid last time, remember?"
no subject
As they had moved out of sight, he tackled her in the grass and curled his fingers in her hair.
"Or perhaps you just want to make me indebted so I have to pay off my debt with my body, ne?"
no subject
Her lips curled into a wicked smirk.

"Ran-chan, do you remember back then? All of what we went through to get here? Sometimes it doesn't even seem real, does it?"
Gin usually wasn't one to be serious, but sometimes even he had to stop and think about the past.

"We don't ever have to go back there... "
