Characters; Lina Inverse; Minatsuki Saya; Anyone else who happens along
Summary; Lina wakes up to find she's not inKansas Sairaag anymore, and isn't taking it very smoothly.
Log;
Where WAS she?!
After waking up with a bump on the back of her head the size of a boulder, she had discovered herself in a city like no other. This wasn't Sairaag, that was for sure! She had simply been trying to enjoy a dainty meal when some blockhead had made a very stupid comment about the Dragon Spooker. Well, what was she supposed to do? Simply sit there and take it? No!
Gourry had protested, but-- Wait! Where was Gourry?!
Not only was she in a strange city, but she was in a strange city alone. Struggling to comprehend this thought, she whirled and looked around again. Maybe that idiot had woken up first and run off on her?
"Gourry! GOURRY! You numbskull, where did you go!" Her boots padded against the ground as she ran around, pushing her way through people in bizarre clothing before finding herself at a beautiful fountain. Now tired and overcome by thirst, she groaned and dashed over to it so that she might help herself to a drink.
The short sorceress froze when she saw not her own reflection, but... "GAH!" She leaped back, stumbling and landing flat on her rump, staring with huge eyes at the fountain. What... What had THAT been? Where was she?! She must have been dreaming.
And apparently she had a vivid imagination! Well, that was no surprise. She was a genius after all, and geniuses had complex inner workings! She really ought to be proud of this bizarre world in her subconscious.
But it still meant she was probably unconscious in the real world, and who knew what trouble Gourry could be getting himself into without her help! Maybe if she blew the place up, she would wake up? Good plan, good plan! Ahh, she was such a genius.
"One Dragon Slave coming up!" she muttered, quickly leaping up onto two feet to prepare the spell. Her cape began to flutter as she focused her thoughts, both hands lifting smoothly up above her head.

At first, that didn't quite compute. And then Lina, quite righteously, flipped out. "Dead?! I'm not dead! That stupid beam wasn't that big! I saw it coming! And I mean I would have moved out of the way, but that big klutz got in my way, because it's not like I'm clumsy or anything! Oh Hell, I'm too young and cute to die!"
All the while, she was flapping her arms and occasionally making nonsensical gestures while pacing back and forth in front of the café. There was no way she could be dead! After all of those horrible battles with demi-gods, a PLANK OF WOOD WAS HER UNDOING?!
She REFUSED to believe that!

She raised her hands in defeat and covered her ears, shooting the other girl a look. "Lina! You're so noisy, you know? They won't let you eat in there if you're this noisy!" Even so, she couldn't help but smile -- The great Lina Inverse really was something.

All the panicking and attempts to figure this place out had made her even more hungry, so she just shook her head and stalked into the café ahead of the other girl. "Shut up! This is a lot for a delicate young lady like me to process! And that's Miss Lina to you. Have some respect, why don't you."
Wow, the place was pretty nice. Ahhh.... FOOD! She was immediately all over it.

"Hey, you're going to choke at that rate!" Saya chimed in at last, before murmuring. "Acting last you haven't eaten in months.. When's the last time you ate, anyhow?"
She took a seat, rested her chin in her hands and shot her temporary companion a glance every now and then. She'd have to be a super hero to wolf down all that food and have it appear to go nowhere!
