Summary; After talking to Integra, Morbius decides to visit her and find out more about Hellsing
Log;
It felt like flying through molasses. Morbius never experienced that feeling before as he glided to the ground in front of the third building. It was strange – as he took a deep breath and stepped inside – just like it was strange that no one really seem to mind neither his appearance nor his mode of travel. But after having caught a glimpse of Venom crawling over a couple buildings, he deciding that hiding what he was would not matter so much. Especially since he couldn’t hide what he was without breaking into the building itself.
Damn place. Teasing him with glimpses of copies of the man he really needed to make a new serum to control the hunger. Even if he can get fresh blood without the guilt of killing someone personally, the thought was there that someone had died. He shook his head, banishing the thought. This was not the time to think about that.
Bloodscent, the vampiric part stirred. Morbius lifted his head and frowned. Yes, there was blood on the air. Old, stale, it was a thin scent trail that mortals did not notice as they scurried by. He let the trail guide him up, leading him to a door. He checked the number, and pressed the bell, his overly long nail gouging the button.
Folding his arms across his chest – which brought the reddish ‘wings’ of his costume tight around his leather suit – Morbius waited.

"I'll get it," she said, being the closest person to the door.
She caught her shocked (and slightly repulsed) reaction before it reached her face as she saw the tall figure waiting outside the door.
"Can I help you," she asked politely, even as she rested her hand on the handle of the whip holstered to her side out of automatic frontier caution.

"He's my guest, Miss Lang, D," she pointed out, "Do come in, Doctor Michaels. I am Integral Hellsing." She glanced over her shoulder, waiting for Alucard's timely arrival.

Upper lip curling back in a smirk, he bared sharklike fangs. "Your guest. . Master? One of a demonic taint. ." And breathed the air just over Integral's shoulder.
no subject
"Most of the Nine are demonically tainted, hence why we fight off others from the Earth Realm." A slight accent marked his words and he shrugged as he added, "Set darkness to fight darkness is the philosophy. Thank you for seeing me, Sir Hellsing."

""That is a good philosophy, Doctor, my grandfather would have agreed." The knight introduced the gathered with her, knowing they were likely remain socially awkward toward the guest. "The vampire at my side is Alucard, formerly known as Dracula. The half-vampire is our future son, D. And the lady is his friend, Doris Lang," she informed Morbius, motioning to follow her to the left. "There is tea waiting in the sitting room."

Moving with his master, he stayed behind her, and slightly to the side.

It was probably because of the demon’s blood that made him one. Morbius nodded in greeting to each person as they were introduced, frowning at Integra’s words about D being her and Alucard’s child. He had never heard that vampires were capable of producing children in any normal means. The scientist in him wanted to poke at D and make a few notes but now was not the time to ask.
"You have an interesting group of associates, Sir Hellsing."
no subject
"Are we supposed to follow them?" she whispered, annoyed by her hesitance. She suddenly missed Ransylva. At least there she neither worried nor cared about offending anyone--after all, first being abandoned and then offered up as a village sacrifice tended to lead to the loss of respect for the population en masse...

She sat on the sofa, expecting Alucard to follow suit and rest beside her as a protective watchdog.

Leg crossed over knee at the ankle, one arm behind Integral at the back of the couch, the other splayed out over the arm rest, he continued to smile amiably.

"You collect vampires and their kin?" he asked, sitting down across from her. He crossed his legs and folded his hands together. "Or just those that can fit into your philosophy?"

She sipped her tea briefly, setting the cup down. "Miss Land, D," she started with a reproachful look. "If you two want to be part of the conversation, sit with us, do not loom there and treat us as subjects of observation. It's very rude."

"The same can be said for most of the Nine save the scope of our borders include all of the Earth Sphere."

Like Seras Victoria used to be.
"There isn't need for a world-scope procedures in our case," Integral commented. "Each religion has their own group against the monsters. For instance, the Vatican employs the thirteenth Orden, Iscariot, to do their dirty job, including vampire hunting. They are more narrow-minded and fanatic than we are and would likely try to destroy you at sight, Doctor. I would avoid the Paladin Anderson if I were you. He has an ongoing rivalry with Alucard."

Was there really a time when he thought that too, with all the strange mutants and mutates fighting all over the world against each other and oppressive human governments? There was a time he thought that such people had some sort of sin they were being punished for, until this had happened to him. God teaching him about his pride and his pride was the only reason why he still drew breath. He was never going to let this disease destroy him completely.
He glanced at Alucard, his brows furrowed, before replying, "I have an associate that is like that. Of the Nine, he hates all things vampiric, even accidents such as I. He's the daywalker I mentioned, Sir Hellsing."

"Does this day walker have a name?" Integral asked, just in case he were to arrive one day. He would be trouble for her vampires and... other creatures for how it sounded.
no subject
He, himself, after all, was capable of walking in the daylight. He just hated it. Whereas D could, but was suseptible to sun poisioning; something that the elder vampire was not keen to point out.
no subject
"Alucard is correct. A daywalker is a vampire able to move under the sun. It is a myth, or at least that is what I've been given to understand," he said, shrugging. "Where I come from, halfbreeds are impossible without divine – or demonic – intervention. His name is Blade and I think his condition came from a vampiric attack on his mother while he was still in the womb. My condition was a scientific accident aggravated by a demonic influences."

When Doris asked her rather direct question, Integral was half-way sipping her tea. It was a fortune, the knight had been schooled in the art restrain after years living next to Alucard.
no subject
Arching an amused brow at Integral, he watched her sip her tea without hiccup of disturbance at Doris' invasive question. Not that he cared it to be invasive, the reaction could be amusing.

"I am a genius," he said, stating it as the fact it was. "Went through college at an accelerated pace and patented my first vaccine by the time I was twenty-six. I made bio-chemical my field of choice, and blood diseases my hobby and by the time I reached thirty I had not only found several cures for various diseases, I had also won a Noble Prize for my work. However, after the speech and presentation for the Prize, I collapsed and it was found I had a rare blood disease of my own. I was always sickly, but my condition was never fully diagnosed until it was too late. So I spent my last year working on curing the disease. In my arrogance and desperation, I skipped the normal procedure of testing and used myself as a guinea pig without knowing what it would do. This is the result."

Doris flushed from her hairline to her collar bone remembering how far she had been prepared to go to ensure she did not become a vampire--and realizing the person meant to receive that payment was within five feet of her did not help.
She cleared her throat, hoping the flush in her face wasn't as visible as it felt. "Thank you for sharing your story, Doctor. I should apologize, that was a rather direct question... I..." she paused, her fingers tracing over the choker that she still wore to cover the scars left by Count Lee, "certain events from my past have me rather curious about people in your situation..."
Oh, she had never wanted to crawl under a rock and die so much in her life...

Doris' remark, however, moved her. She would not show any admiration and respect outwardly, but that she hadn't given in after an attack show strength of character.
"Miss Lang," Integral addressed her first with a crisp authority air. "This isn't the time and place to share former plights. And stop being so tense around me. I am the least likely person here who is going to bite you." The girl surely didn't think she would harm her? After that, the knight reclined on her coach. "Have you tried an alternative to solve your illness, Doctor Michaels? Such as Alchemy?"
no subject
no subject
"Alchemy isn't an option where I come from. Sorcery couldn't provide an answer as well. Demonic forces might be able to do something about this, but they rather I stay right where I am on the food chain." Again a wry twist of his lips as he considered that half of himself. "They're a bit like scientist, mixing things together and sitting back to see will happen next."

And why the hell was she so nervous around Sir Hellsing? She was sitting in a room with two vampires and a dhampir, and she was most anxious about the only other human in the room. Well, she thought, She may be the least likely in the room to bite me, but she's the most likely to kick me out of the building...
