"There we go... hn~ should be done in a few minutes!"
Dinner with her closest friends was much too tempting to pass up for Rinali at a time like this. All the destruction that had occured on Friday night and the confusion of Saturday's events -- not to mention her current worries over what she'd been talking about with Simca -- had tired her out; if anything, she needed something nice to distract her right about now. Luckily for her, she hadn't forgotten about her prior engagement, and cooking seemed to take a load off her mind.
And really, it was a damn good thing Allen was even here. As much of a friend Rabi was to her... he wasn't exactly one to confide in when he was doing things like offering to set her and Agito up on a date. She needed someone to confide in that was slightly more...
Stable.
(Well, as stable as he could get, anyway, but hey!)
Quickly, she bent over and peered into the tiny stove before straightening out her pigtails. He'd be here any minute, she had to look presentable! ♥ "Akito-nii-chan, please get the door for me if anyone comes!" Rinali called out, scurrying to the bathroom.

Rinali had invited him to a nice dinner to meet with her friends...and talking frogs(?!).
But what was he supposed to wear? What was he say to them? And how was he supposed to act? Was he supposed to bring flowers--no, that was too romantic. Or would a small cake fit the occasion?
Pacing to and fro, he haphazardly put on the casual black uniform he used to wear before he had joined the organization. As he felt the ribbon choke his neck, a feeling of nostalgia came over him and relaxed his agitated state of mind. He would be polite, sincere, and as honest as possible, because that's how he had always been.
He closed the door behind him softly, clutching an oddly-wrapped present of sorts in his right hand and two pages of excruciatingly detailed instructions on how to get to Rinali's apartment in his left, and went on his way.

She sighed. She should've been relieved... but in all honesty, she was just a little bit nervous. What should she say? What should she do? How was she supposed to go about conversation when all that had happened wasn't all that pleasant? And after dinner was over... ahhh, she didn't even think that far ahead! Should she just send him back home...?
Relax, her subconscious told her. It's just dinner, it's just Allen-kun. It's no different than eating at the cafeteria at headquarters! Everything is going to be FINE. Hell, Simca and Agito would've told you that by now anyway, huh?
...mrrr. I hope so, at least.
Rinali gave herself a final look in the mirror -- hair all straightened, a small dab of lipgloss, teeth check~ -- and took a deep breath. Everything would be fine, she told herself. She just... had to check on the meal first. Crap.
CLIFFHANGER?!
Allen thought he heard a muffled squeak (Rinali?) and decided to give the door a knock. But as soon as his knuckles touched the surface of the door, it swung open with a gust of wind. Startled, Allen took a step back as as billowing clouds of black smoke escaped through the opening.
I hope that's not our dinner... He wondered if Komui's tendency to create burnt dishes was perhaps genetic. (o_o)
As the last wisps of smoke had passed through, Allen meekly peered inside. It was a habit of his to be first orally invited into a house before entering, but he decided better of it and stepped inside, only to be met by...
