The gaslamps flickered as Julius walked down the street, coat slowly swaying behind him. Somehow... this place seemed perfectly suited for someone like him. An old vampire hunter who theoretically should be retired.

Damn prophecy. Damn memory loss.

Damn Dracula still being alive.

"She gave herself willingly," Julius said. He coiled the whip and put it back on his belt. "Because there was no other choice. The alternative was damnation as a vampire. And the reason there was no other choice was because the other version of yourself so desperately wanted to mock God with eternal life."

"Perhaps," Julius said, continuing to toss the bottle. "And I'm tossing this up and down because I'm old and experienced and not dumb. But I don't think Hellsing has anything to do with it not hating you."

"Then what do you think it is?" He asked, curious, before smirking. "If I really wanted to hurt you, those holy relics wouldn't stop me."

"I haven't even begun to fight, Dracula, so please drop the arrogance," he said. "It's... what's the word? Boorish. Anyway. If the whip doesn't hate you, it's not because something external, like your masters. It's because of something internal." He pocketed the bottle and turned on his heel. "Good evening, Count. I'll be keeping an eye on you."
