Summary; Hell hath no fury like a gendershifting vampire. .
Log;
She was strewn arftully across a chaise lounge in one of the quiet parlors of the Hellsingpenthouse flat that Arthur took on. Something akin to a violet silk sheet was draped around her body, but most certainly was a dress that left pale, perfect arms, legs and decollatage bare.
"Henry," a soft and subtle voice, feminine, cultured called to him as he entered. Half sitting up, she offered him a seat next to her. "I'm so sorry for neglecting you these past few days. For showing such a sorrowful demeanor when I should be happy to have you near. But our enemies have been plotting and I needed to assure your safety."
Slender and dexterous, fingers flicked the dark hair that fell in slight waves from her shoulders as she reached forward, plucking a teacup from its fine saucer. "I made this especially for you, tell me how it tastes?"
The tea was laced with her blood. Blood that would begin the path of manipulation.

He'd been quiet- very quiet. But that wasn't unusual for a man prone to disappear into his room for days at a time, someone who was so careful not to disturb anyone.
But he'd certainly be happy to talk to people if they offered, and so now he was sitting down next to her, taking the teacup from her hands. His hands felt huge and clumsy around it. He smiled nervously at her and took a sip.
It wasn't how he was used to tea tasting, but then it wasn't in a mug, either. "It's good. Really good...thanks very much." He took another sip. "Is that why you called me over here?" he asked, still with that nervous smile on his lips.

Her eyes caught his gaze again and narrowed slightly in concentration, working her blood through his system from the drops of tea. "Those from the mansion have asked after you, Henry. I told them to ask you themselves, that it was up to you whether you wished to speak to them." A small, cool hand slid over one of his, careful not to slosh the tea, "I don't mind if you see them."
The gateway. When he thought of those in the mansion, she would act. Her appearence was similliar enough to Alessa's for good reason; Alucard's female form would take her place. Would bend the old memories and create new ones. It would be slow, painstakingly slow mold him into what she wanted, but they had plenty of time and few interruptions.

Still, he really missed Alessa, her quiet elegance glowing from her even as a darkness hinted from below. "They asked about me? What did they ask? Why...why didn't they just talk to me?"
Even as her face faded from memory, changed into something slightly different, he wonders- should he have tried to understand a little harder?
But no, they were monsters. Nothing he'd heard from anyone had changed that. He didn't want to be a monster, too. Besides, there were lots of good people willing to help him out. Even though he had no way of knowing whether this was true or not, he had to tell himself they are- otherwise he'd made a mistake, and a rather large one.
He set the cup down and let her hand slide over his, absently rubbing it with the pad of his thumb. "I missed you, too. I'm sorry I've been so...uh, quiet. I don't know how to deal with all this, still..."

His touch surprised her, but her eyes half closed, taking in the warmth of living flesh. "Take your time, we have plenty of that in this place. And all of this.. I can't imagine how hard all of this is on you." Hand turning up, she caught his, bringing the knuckles of said hand to her mouth to kiss chastely.
"If you ever want me to help you to remember, Henry, I will try," Alucard pledged.
Of course, she meant remember her version, or at least the one she wanted Henry to believe. Alucard saw something in him, something she both liked and could nurture, given the right circumstances. Henry would make a splendid playmate.

He fell silent again- he'd already said all of this, why did he bring it up? He never knew how to talk to people, especially when they seemed interested in talking to him. And it's things like this he seemed allowed to remember, but whenever he pushed for more details, everything would disappear, like cockroaches in bright lights.
"How did you know me....?" he eventually asked, meekly. If she'd rather not talk about it, he wouldn't push, but...she seemed willing to go into it.

Then took his hands boldly, squeezing them, "I will help you remember. And I will not let you fall into darkness ever again."

His smile fades and he looks up to her, serious. "Did you...uh, how did they do all of that to me? do you know?"
no subject
Then paused, tilting his head, "It does hurt, but . . I know it isn't your fault."
