Log; Ongoing
When; June 10th
Rating; PG
Characters; Kimimaro
nofunnybone and Roy Mustang
flameroy
Summary; Kimimaro goes to talk with Mustang about Homunculi: specifically, how to get rid of them.
Log;
Kimimaro stood outside of the third apartment complex, feeling a little anxious. Today there were no curses stealing his clothing, putting camels below his window or filling his doorway with sand dunes, for which he was very thankful. Perhaps now he could gain the sort of information he sought from this so-called alchemist. Greed was a problem, and one that couldn't be taken care of through Kimimaro's usual methods. He needed some answers, if only to reassure himself that he would not have to put up with such annoyances forever.
Quickly, Kimimaro went inside and sought out apartment number nine.
He knocked on the door.

The knock at the door sparked a kind of happy curiosity in him, though. He managed to hide his pleased grin, not many had knocked on his door since he'd arrived here.
He paused at the door for barely seconds, before pulling it open, trying to figure out who exact it was stood outside.
"Hello?"
no subject
The darked-haired man who had swung open the door was looking at him blankly. 'It appears introductions are in order once again.'
"Roy Mustang? It is Kimimaro. I wanted to ask you a few questions..."
no subject
"Ah. Of course, come on in."
no subject
"I am not intruding?" he asked, only it was more of a statement than a question. The apartment was empty apart from the alchemist and there was the lemony scent of some kind of cleanser lingering in the air. Obviously he had not been interrupting anything vital.
no subject
"Nothing to intrude on, I'm afraid." He told, turning round and offering a vague smile. "Did you want a drink?" That felt weird, usually when he had meetings, or someone to visit like this, he had certain subordinates to offer refreshments.
no subject
He shook his head and moved further into the apartment. "I am suitably hydrated for the purposes of this meeting," he said. "It is just a few questions."
no subject
Once sat he reclined slowly, lifting a hand to cup the left side of his face for a few moments.
"Alright then, what questions did you want me to answer?"
no subject
"I need to know about homunculi; specifically about how to kill one. I have been told that you are the one to speak to about such things."
no subject
"How to kill a homunculus. I don't know who told you to come to me, but I suppose they were right.." He tipped his head slightly, looking down at the floor.
"Do you want the background information, or just the method?"
no subject
"I suppose the more information you can offer me, the better."
no subject
"Greed is the one in question?"
He coughed into a balled fist.
"Well, firstly you need something to weaken a Homunculus. You need something of, a belonging, or even bones of the person they were. Although, I believe it is possible to kill them in other ways. Due to the fact that a Homunculus is not human, it is actually possible to rearrange the molecular structure of part of their bodies. If you've studied chemistry well enough."
no subject
Kimimaro listened to the explanation Mustang offered, the furrows on his forehead deepening with every sentence that dropped from the alchemist's lips.
"An item like that would be difficult to obtain. I expect I would have to ask for assistance from the Deities in that case." And who knew what they would demand in recompense.
The second option was not sounding much better.
"I have...very little knowledge of chemistry," Kimimaro admitted reluctantly. "Such things were always more under Kabuto-san's direction."
no subject
"The Deities wouldn't let you obtain such an item. Even if I were back in our world, I wouldn't know where to begin to look." He offered, straightening his back, obviously thoughful.
"I once heard of someone's molecular structure being transmuted into molecules of Ethanol..." He offered, suddenly biting his bottom lip.
"That would take an Alchemist of course."
no subject
"Are you offering?" Kimimaro asked, not exactly pleased with that idea. Gaining assistance in the form of information from Mustang was one thing, but he did not want the man to act as an assassin for hire.
He wanted to be the one to kill Greed, smash his fist through that smug face and cut out that slanderous tongue himself.
no subject
"No. I'm not." He said bluntly, looking up at Kimimaro with a sorry look in his eye.
"I recall Greed describing himself as the Human Shield. You could always try hounding the deities for some of his bones? That's the only answer I can think of. I have yet to meet anyone else here who can perform alchemy."
no subject
He should have known it would not be this easy. Still, he was already dead. It was not as if he had a limited amount of time with which to think of a solution to him homunculus problem. He could be patient.
"Thank you for your time," he said, rising from the sofa.
no subject
"I'm sorry I can't help you. I vowed never to kill another without justifable reason."
no subject
"I would not want that kind of assistance anyway. This is something I must see through under my own power."
no subject
"I can understand that, too. Good Luck."
no subject
The meeting had not quite been a complete waste of time-he knew now that the homunculus could be killed, and what would be required to do it-but he seemed to have arrived at a dead end.
He would have to think of another way.
