Summary; Bar-hopping, only without the hopping really. Two recent acquaintances meet in the Automatica for a few—or a few more—drinks and a chat. For now.

It turned out Alec had been right. All you had to do was imagine it, walk, and you were there. The Automatica looked like a nifty place, but Yuffie was more interested in the inside than on waxing poetics about the outer looks.

Entering the bar, she scouted around until she found him, drink already in hand. “Couldn’t hold yourself, eh?”

Concentrating on the game, she sunk one ball in, unfortunately after it went the b-ball. "Your turn, whoops?" she grinned, taking her glass for a sip.

Another grin, and Alec was placing the cue ball back on the table, lining it up for his next shot. However, before going any further, he looked back over toward Yuffie. "Could always make the game more interesting." Ducking down, he brought the pool cue up, ready to take his shot. "Your choice." And hustling for money wasn't on the cards, for once.

"Alright, what's your bet?" she asked, grinning inwardly. Gotcha. When she had said she didn't play pool much...that'd been a white lie. Tifa's bar owned a pool table, and it wasn't hard to get hooked on the game. But she'd wanted to give him a false sense of security. Of course, by the way he was playing, she'd probably lose regardless. But she'd play honestly.

"Drinks, or bets. Ladies choice." A ball was pot, before he stood back up, leaning against the edge of the table. "All depends on what you're willing to gamble~"

"Oh, I'm feeling risky, but uncreative, so please~you go ahead~"

"In that case, let's start off nice an easy then~" Crossing back toward Yuffie, he stopped a short space in front of her, purposly leaning past her to rest his cue against the table. "Rerack the balls, and I'll be right back." Finally moving back again, he then made his way toward the bar to find the neccesary supplies.

I'm on a date, and a guy is flirting with me. Now I'm sure I like this city. She rearranged the balls as fit, and waited for his return.

After a brief talk with the bartender, Alec returned with his supplies; a bottle of tequila and a pair of shot glasses. Placing them down on the table, he soon filled up the glasses, holding one out toward Yuffie. "Whoever pots, the other takes a shot."

And I'm gonna waste it getting stiff drunk. "Alright. I'll break," she said, and leaned in, taking a shot and potting one ball in. Stripped again. "Hah!"

Before the cue ball had stopped moving, Alec was downing a shot, a trace of a cringe appearing in response. Tequila wasn't a drink he'd had much before, so the taste was something he needed to get used to. Not that that'd stop him from drinking it in the first place.

And one more ball got in, before she failed her third shoot, and stepped aside. "What did you bring, anyway? Tequila?!"

Yep. Definitely gonna end up wasted. Oh well. Take it like a ninja, Yuffie. Cheat.

Another shot was taken in response, before Alec was picking up his cue once again. "You said you liked the stuff, right?" Though most likely, not in the amounts they'd probably end up going through.

Heading over to the table, he lined up his shot, easily pocketing the first ball. "Drink up~"

Takes a shot of tequila, downing it with a sour look. She doesn't like losing, and he is SO going to pay for all the shots she takes. Double time.

It would've been impossible to hide the amused look he gained from watching Yuffie take her shot. Pacing round to the other side of the table, the next ball was pot with an equal amount of ease.

"Lookin' for trouble~" she muttered, downing the second glass. "Is this some sort of ploy to get me drunk, mister? Cause I'm not easy, EVEN when I'm drunk..."

"What kind of guy do you take me for?" A mock offended look appeared as he turned toward Yuffie. "I'm just playing some pool. That's it~"

"You don't fool me with that look, mister," she drawled, leaning her back against the wall. "Now come on, finish the play so it can be my turn in kicking your ass."

"This I have to see~" Turning to the table, he ducked down, the cue being brought up as he took another shot. One more ball sunk into the pocket a moment later, followed by a miss. Time to see how well the ninja could play.

After taking the recquired drink, she gave him a small glare and leaned over the table, cue in hand and ready. "I just want you to know," she said slowly, maybe with a slur, "that I'd do this much better without two margaritas and three shots of tequila in m'body. But! A ninja's ready for ev'rythin'."

She took one shot, sinking one ball into a corner pocket, then another shot, sinking a second ball into the opposite corner. One more shot, third ball in the middle pocket. Here she took a moment to pause, and gloat. "I've just started."

He'd barely managed to take the first shot, before another two balls were pot. Looking between the table and Yuffie, a smirk slowly began to return to his face. "Think I should be asking you if you're planning on getting me drunk."

Lifting another shot, it was knocked back in one go. It seemed he wasn't the only one who'd been holding back while playing. Well, things were going to get interesting then. The third shot was taken, and he motioned toward the table. "Show me what you've got~"

She snorted a bit. "Of course. I like my men so drunk they can barely move," she answered, then slapped a hand to her mouth. GAWD, I did NOT say that outloud. Judging from the look on his face, she had said it outloud.

Playing it cool, she focused on the game again, and pocketed two more balls before failing. "Hah. FIVE! Drink'em up, future lewzer," she said, letting him take her place. I think I might be a BIT drunk.

The brief note of surprise was quickly transformed into a smirk once again. If it hadn't been obvious before, it was clear as day now. Remaining silent, Alec turned back to the table, another set of shots poured and drunk in no time. "My turn then~"

"Go ahead," she said. "But I'll have you know I'm horrible when I'm drunk. Seriously. I might...sexually accost you and all," she pointed out, hoping this would steer him away from winning with that excuse.

"I know how to handle myself. And besides, you make it sound like that's a bad thing~" Smirking, he turned back to the table, another two balls pot in no time at all. Three 'spots' and the 8-ball to go. Easy.

Handle myself, now those words brought a snerk she rather enjoyed letting out. Then she blinked, forgetting to take her shots, or that he was winning. "It wouldn't be...?"
