Log;

It had been so long since she had seen Lucy...dear, dear Lucy. It was becoming so overwhelming...first seeing Jonathan again, then meeting all those different versions of Dracula, seeing Mr. Reinfield again and now the emergence of Lucy. The City could be cruel and kind all in the same instance.

There was so much she needed to tell Lucy and when it came down to it she really wanted to see her. She had never dared to hope that she would see her dearest friend again. Slowly she made her way into the graveyard calling her familiars back to her. She could sense Lucy more clearly now and knew the other woman was near.

"Lucy?"

Lucy had been sitting on one of the markers, hands folded primly in her lap as she awaited Mina. There was no name on the stone and thus she assumed she was not disturbing anyone. So many of the markers were without names in this cemetary and this made it all the more peculiar and unlike the one that had become home after she had risen. She had felt master there, in the little world where she slept among the bones of family during the day and sometimes traced their names at night. Now she was out of place and uncertain, and, worst of all, in a city with many incarnations of the creature that had plagued her sleep and veins and left her alone in a strange new life.

Red lips spread into a bright smile as the sound of her beloved friend's voice momentarialy pushed all of this from her mind and she she stood to meet her, cheerily calling: "Mina!" in return.

"Oh, it so very good to see you!" Lucy exclaimed. Less time had passed for her than had for Mina, but it felt like more than it was and her friend was an almost painfully wonderful sight, though perhaps not exactly the same as she had known. She opened her arms, the gesture completely innocent for the first time since her change.

A sigh of relief and unneeded breath was given as Lucy held her friend, comfortable and secure. "And I you," she murmured, resting her chin on the other woman's shoulder for a long moment before gently drawing back and clasping her hands. "So! You must tell about this mad city. How long have you been here?"

The City seemed the best topic of conversation at the moment. Talk of their personal lives would only be a source of sadness, it seemed, for what Lucy had learned of what had become of Mina's and that of the men they had loved was a source of confusion and upset. Further, it was also information Lucy would very much need to know if she were to be here any length of time.

"Is no one allowed to leave here?"

"The end of all worlds?" Lucy could not help quietly repeating, brows furrowed as she attempted to process such a notion. The existence of many worlds was in and of itself a huge adjustment to her thinking, though it had been demonstrated as truth to disturbing effect by those multiple versions of the count to have spoken with her.

"Has it been? Oh, but I am sure must be difficult with so many of him around, and all this strangeness."
