Log; Ongoing
When; July 21, Early Morning
Rating; PG
Characters; Misao Amano and Henry Townsend
Summary; Misao wakes up on Henry's sofa to find her clothes no longer fit; Henry finds a similar situation in his own bed.
Log;
Misao wakes up in a somewhat more familiar room. This time she actually remembers falling asleep here. It's the living room of Henry Townsend's apartment, Building 11, Room 302. Mr. Townshend was kind enough to let Misao sleep on his sofa when she couldn't find her way out of The City. Although the apartment reminded Misao a little too much of the scary apartment she was just recently in, she graciously accepted. She refused to let Mr. Townsend sleep on the couch, but this was really because she had spent too much time in a far too similar bed recently. In the end she slept on the couch and Mr. Townshend slept in his own room.
Now she is climbing out from under the blanket she was given and is rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. She's also wondering if the couch shrunk overnight, because her feet are very easily touching the floor. When she looks down to check the status of the couch's size she finds that the clothes she wore overnight, not having proper pajamas, are now ripped in several places. In a panic she screams as loud as she can and quickly stands up in shock.
She's much taller than she remembers. She's also quite a bit shapelier. But before she can truly appreciate her glorious blossoming into womanhood she gets very dizzy and feints. It seems that standing is a much longer trip now that takes a lot more energy than she's use to.
Edit: [OOC: I forgot to mention, Misao looks about 25 now.]

He bites his lip, deciding not to mention that this has been the nicest one so far. He doesn't want to scare her. But there is something he should mention. He curls his arms around his knees, hugging himself. "It's...it's really hard to leave here. You have to get a key, and finding the door it goes in is really hard. And...uhm, if you're dead, it doesn't work."
He scowls at the floor, looking small and frightened, then adds quietly, "I hate this city."

Misao forgets her clothing situation for the time being and lets the blanket fall open to free her arms. With the blanket draped around her back she reaches out to offer Henry a gentle, motherly hug.
she whispers.

He's at about the age when he and his mother stopped talking much, he's guessing, although he doesn't know why he's thinking of that now. He hasn't been close to anyone since he reached puberty, to be honest- the few semi-friendships he has here are the closest he's ever had.
He blinks a few times, then closes his eyes. He sighs, mostly happy, then whispers back, "Thanks."

her other self. Her mind goes blank suddenly and she forgets what she was thinking about. "Oh, yes," she says suddenly.
"Um... I mean we should probably find some clothes that fit us," she says cowering back under her blanket.

He scrambles up from the floor and runs down the corridor, then comes back with some jeans, a few different dress shirts, and a few t-shirts. "These aren't that great, but they'll fit you a little better, I hope." He sets them down and then backs up a bit, looking at the floor. "Uhm...sorry."

After Henry returns, she takes the clothes from the floor and stands up... slowly. "Thank you very much, M.. uh... Henry," she says awkwardly. Somehow calling him Mr. Townshend didn't seem appropriate at the moment. She stares at him for a moment trying to figure out how and where they'll get clothes for a tiny Henry. Unsure of what to say or do, she decides that she'll be able to think better when she's less naked.
"Um... may I use your bathroom?" she finally asks.

His face is bright red, so he walks over to the fridge and pretends to be very interested in its contents. Unfortunately, since those contents are a bottle of wine, a bottle of chocolate milk, and a nutrition drink, it'd be pretty easy to catch him on a bluff. "Uhm...let me know if you need anything, okay?" He rubs the back of his neck, staring resolutely at the milk bottle.

What is wrong with me today, she thought to herself. Misao wasn't sure if it was a result of the curse or not, but there was something very different in her thought patterns today. This fact became more evident when she glimpsed herself in the bathroom mirror. After staring at her unfamiliar face for a while, she began to wonder if various parts of her anatomy were the appropriate size and shape. Then she forced herself to snap out of it and now she goes through the routine of showering and changing clothes.
After putting on a pair of jeans and choosing a white T-shirt from the set that was handed to her, Misao once again looks at herself in the mirror. She immediately finds that there is a problem with wearing a white T-shirt without a bra. Blushing she quickly changes into a darker, blue shirt. It will have to do, she thinks to herself as she sighs.
She gathers up her old clothes and the remaining T-shirts Henry gave her and exits the bathroom. She would have to find a way to repair her old clothes... or buy new ones. She then realizes that there must be clothing stores somewhere in the city. Henry could get some clothes for today and she could get herself clothes for when the curse wears off tomorrow.
She returns to the living room to look for Henry ask him what he thinks of her shopping plan.

He turns when he hears her coming down the hall. "Hi..." he says shyly. "That stuff fit kinda okay?" It looks like it's a lot more comfortable, at least.

"Oh," she adds quickly, "I was thinking that there must be some clothing stores around here somewhere..." She fidgets a little before continuing, "We could, maybe, buy you some clothes for today..."

He shoves one of the sleeves back up his arm. "Oh! And we can find clothes for you for tomorrow or something." He actually smiles a little. Yes, he can be useful. "I haven't had to shop much, but I know where they are and stuff. C'mon." He heads towards the door and pulls it open. He really doesn't feel like leaving the apartment, but he knows it's probably good for them both to get out for awhile.
