When; July 1, Midday
Rating; PG13
Characters; Greed
so_very_greedy and Rabi
deviates and a few surprises!
Summary; Greed educates a newcomer on the proper way to greet new races you've just met.
Log;
Greed was already stretching his limbs for the fight. He had to gauge this properly, as this guy already looked messed up. This might actually be more like bullying, so he hoped it wouldn't reflect bad on him. Hey, the human was the one causing trouble. If he hadn't judged by species, this wouldn't have happened. The nerve! Calling him a monster...Okay, he WAS, but it was the IMPLICATION that bothered him.
"Come on. Bring it. Think you can even lift that hammer?"

"You're the one that brought in the idea of a fight. Shouldn't you be attacking first?" Rabi was still smirking confidantly. It was all he could do to hide a pained grimace.

"Okay, don't say I didn't warn ya'!"
Greed's charge ended fifteen feet from his target, at which point he went airborne, coming down like a missile toward the other man, his feet pulled together.
"Incoming!"

"Waah!" He scrambled back, last-minute.

"Still got some speed left. Not bad. Why don't you try usin' that toy of yours, eh?"
Without a loud kick-off, the homunculus launched himself up at Lavi, aiming sweeping back-hand at his head, followed by another kick as his lower body came around.
"Come on, fight! Damn it! DO something!"

"Either of you touch one another and I'll send you both home in a wheelbarrow." Fou declared her hands on her hips. Looking around at the damage already caused it looked like there were nothing but a few bluffs exchanged. Men really were all about being macho sometimes. Taking one of her hands off of her hip, it transformed it into a long edged axe. "Got any questions?" The deity hoped that things would end smoothly and without too much trouble; the exorcist in question was, as she so cleverly remarked earlier, ‘extra crispy’ and looked like he needed some sort of medical aid.

...the guardian for the Asia branch, Fou. Face throbbing profoundly from the punch, he still managed a grin.
"Yo~" he chirped, albeit in a strained voice.

"Ah! Fou-chan!" Greed yelped, jumping to his feet and Rabi up to dust him off, "M-me and this man were just having a little disagreement! Isn't the right, pal?"
His head whipped around for him to eye Rabi. He suddenly picked the man up in a fireman's carry.
"I was just going to get this poor man to a hospital, as a matter of fact! Ha ha ha ha! PLEASEDON'TCUTMYHEADOFFIHATEREGENERATINGTHAT."
He marched up to the small girl.
"You know this guy?"

Arm returning back to its normalcy in a puff of smoke, Fou shot Greed a look. Honestly, did he really think that she was going to fall for that? She knew what she saw and there wasn't anything in the world that could change her mind, but at least they stopped. Fou really didn't want to get her hands dirty. Well, not now at least. Bak would have given her a hard time if she came back to their place with two unconscious bodies in tow. "Mmm... right. But if you'd ever be so kind as to hand the boy over here, I'll feel at ease if he came with me." Both of her short arms stuck straight out and her hands open, ready for a body to be dropped onto them.
"I don't know his name or anything else about him to be honest, but I do know that he's an exorcist and that's more than enough for me." Fou replied calmly while still waiting for Greed to give her the injured body. She might look small but Fou was definitely no weakling.

"Uh...I would like to say that this was as much his fault, as mine. Maybe I shouldn't have fought him, but he insulted me! A man doesn't back down when he's accosted," he grumbled, "But it's not like I was going to kill him. I made sure I was pulling my punches. I was still gonna' get him medical attention afterward."
His package delivered, he rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.
"..I suppose asking to go on another date right now isn't exactly the best idea?"

This was followed by Greed's story.
"...uh, yeah. Disagreement. He started the idea of a fight."
Then, he was suddenly picked up like he couldn't walk on his own. Rabi flailed a bit and then thought better of it as his muscles protested. This was no condition to be wiggling around in...and no position, either. He settled for the one way all men settle things:
"Put. Me. Down." Ordering eachother around really helps.
and he was put down. Right into Fou's arms. Rabis sighed.
"I'm fine, I can walk. I know, miracle, right? Put me down." How embarrassing.

Fou stared at Greed for a few short moments in disbelief. It was lucky that he knew that now wasn't the best time to ask her out, but the fact that he still considered it. Ah, well. It wasn't like she had a bad time just that all this time for casual and normalcy was a bit strange. Who ever thought that she was able to live a 'normal' life? "You're right. Now isn't the best time for a date... Maybe once wonder boy over here gets better we can try that again."
Looking down at the exorcist that now lie in her arms, Fou examined his face. Eye-patch and red hair. He looked somewhat familiar. Had see seen this face before? Fou couldn't remember a time but she felt like she was supposed to know him or at the very least about him. "You sure about that? I wouldn't want you to slow me down while I try to get you some medical attention... but I guess I should ask what your name is, exorcist."

"Weeeeeeell, I guess I'll be goin', now. I'll catch ya' a little later, pretty Miss Fou. As for him," Greed said, looking down at the crumpled man, "Well...Uh, sorry. Sorry, Mr. Eyepatch. I'll buy ya' a drink or somethin' once you're feelin' better. Try to get a pretty nurse or something in the infirmary."
In a few scant moments, Greed had made a full tactical retreat, leaving the scene.

"Yeah. Pretty nurse. Infirmary. Gotcha," he managed to say. At least the man had offered an apology?
"I can walk. My legs work just fine. Now put. Me. Down." he paused to take a breath, lungs protesting. "An' my name is Rabi."

"Rabi... I've heard that name somewhere..." Fou's voice trailed off while she set the significantly taller person onto the ground, feet first of course. "Ah. You're the Bookman boy. Now isn't this a pleasant surprise." She finally recalled after some thinking. It had been a while since she last heard of the Bookman, but she did over hear something about the next one. So this was what the talk was all about... It was a good thing that Fou didn't concern herself with first impression when it came to members of the Black Order for that would have meant that Rabi would have been eternally burned into her mind as the 'extra crispy exorcist'.

Rabi dusted himself off once he was set upright again. It was a simple matter to retrieve his hammer and place the now toy-sized object in the holster on his thigh as he listened to Fou. Bookman boy...yeah.
That'd be how most people knew him, huh? Bookman boy--Bookman's Junior, the Bookman-in-Training. Did anyone ever notice that he was doing a worse job at being a Bookman then than he was some two years ago? Rabi shook his head violently to dislodge the depressing thoughts.
Bookman might chew him out for what happened in the Ark, but Rabi still felt good about it. Felt good about having...comrades.
"Yeah, that'd be me. How's it surprising?"

Maybe it was the fact that she brought up the issue of him being a Bookman. But why would that make him react in such a manner? The facts didn’t add up and Fou wasn’t bothered enough to want to press for answers.
"Nothing really, just that you don't quite seem like the boy that I was expecting. Bookman was so straight-faced and you're... quite a lively one." Fou answered off handedly. She ran her eyes over his features once more before adding more to her previous statement. "In every meaning of the word at that. Tall with red hair and green eyes, I can’t think of a way you couldn't stand out more in a crowd."
