Log: OnGoing
When; Sometime Today, July 1st
Rating; G-PG probably
Characters; Elena
lady_turk & Reeve
felis_fidelus
Summary; Reeve finally settles in so now he gets to see the big, red, shiny place that Elena lives, while she plays tour guide so he doesn't get lost.
Log;
Standing by the transport spot, which was a pretty hard spot to miss given how it stood out from the rest of the forest background, Elena idly began playing with her ring as she waited for any signs of Reeve to show up. He'd already said that he'd been interested in seeing the alleged spaceship before and it wasn't until now, when the weather had settled back into something a bit more normal for the time of year it was, to call her up and ask if she was free. It was nice to know that her number on the PHS still worked for others outside of the Turks, though it wasn't like there would be anyone else who needed to call her. It was just one of those 'nice to know even if there wasn't any point in knowing' kind of things that made Elena smile a bit on the inside.
The reaction that Reeve would probably have at seeing the Durandal, even parked on the beach/ocean as it were, was something else that made Elena smirk as well. Given their own technology and the difference between the two, it would be quite the site to see.
This was going to be entertaining for all parties.

To be honest, he hadn't expected his old PHS to work, but it had, and so now he was dressed back in a casual suit instead of his formal one, strolling down the path with Cait Sith in tow. A spaceship, she'd said. Somehow, he didn't quite believe it. The only spaceship he'd ever seen was the old Shinra #26, and it'd been only big enough to fit four at the most. Surely she wasn't....
Reeve rounded the bend and stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes widening at the sight of the sleek red spaceship. It was... it was enormous, functional and graceful at the same time and already his mind was racing trying to process the aerodynamics and structure of something that massive and failing. Cait sighed and shook his head, leaving his creator to gape and waving over at Elena. "Oi! Bloody hell, y' weren't kiddin' 'bout th' whole 'spaceship' thin', were ya? How many people c'n tha' thing carry?"

Giving a one-handed wave to Cait and walking over to where the little figure stood next to his creator, Elena smirked at the awestruck look on Reeve's face.
"Not sure what the maximum capacity is, but I'd say probably a small city's worth of people might be able to fit on board at one time," Elena guessed. "There's 5 of us who live there currently and of course I didn't lie. Something like this doesn't need to be lied about."

It was amazing- and she was right, configured correctly something of that size could hold... he shook his head with a rueful laugh. He was an engineer first; being a world leader was just one of those necessary evils he had to endure. But here... well, he wasn't settling in well. Whiplash from the changes. And speaking of changes....
"What's this, then?" Cait had caught sight of the shiny ring on Elena's hand; poking at it, he flashed her a decidedly naughty smirk. His creator just glanced at them, puzzled by the turn in conversation. "Looks like our li'l Elena's growin' up, Reeve. So who's th' lucky fellow?"
no subject
Making a little curious noise in question to what Cait was talking about at first, Elena looked down at her hand and remembered the ring she'd been playing with only seconds ago. Chuckling lightly, it dawned on her that, outside of the Turks, she hadn't told anyone from their world about her current relations. Not that she told a lot of people in general, but she didn't exactly hide the fact either.
"It's just what it looks like. It's a ring, and no, I'm not engaged or anything before you ask. His name is Jr. Or rather he goes by Jr." As she mentioned Jr.'s name, a quick flash of something softer quirked at her lips for a moment, before melting away, but it was still there for anyone who knew her to catch it.

Cait whacked Reeve lightly on the leg with his tail. "Lucky, lucky lass, engagement or no," he said brightly, tilting his crown back a bit. "What's th' chances 'a us meetin' this lad that's got y' all soft an' mellow?"
"Cait," Reeve chided, with a wry grin. "I don't even have to be nosy, he does it for me. So, how much for the guided tour?"
no subject
Grinning and pushing her current thoughts aside, Elena only chuckled at what the chances of meeting up with Jr. would be. Though she had to protest at the soft and mellow part.... Even if some of it was true. "Probably pretty good since he's the one who's in charge of the Durandal."
Gesturing with a hand for Reeve to start walking towards the massive ship, Elena couldn't help but smirk. "Guided tour's free, just special for you and Cait. But it's not my fault if you try to wander off and get lost."

And now it seemed Tseng was the one on the unrequited side. Interesting.
Pulling his mind away from analyzing love triangles and aerodynamics, he finally refocused his attention on Elena. "I promise, we'll behave." Cait just groaned. "Keep your hands inside at all times during the ride and all that."
no subject
"So long as you don't try to hack anything, especially on the bridge, I think it'll be fine," she said with a grin. Then muttering under her breath and rolling her eyes, Elena was reminded that it even if Reeve tried, it was highly unlikely that he'd be able to, given all the traps Jr. and now Shelley had set up. "Not that I think you actually could. Stupid advance coding."
Wondering where she should show Reeve around first, Elena figured maybe it would be best just to ask him where or what he'd like to see rather than think about it. "So what would you like to see first? Aside from the hanger, that is."
