Log;
Sitting beside his warped, weathered cardboard box, Vincent apathetically shook his small tin soup can around.
"Spare some change!" He spoke impatiently over the sound of coins jingling about in the cup. "Alms for the poor and all that."
He leaned back, holding the can with one hand.
"Come on! I'm not doing this for my personal enjoyment, you know!"

He searched his pocket. That was right, he had come to the city penniless himself, but quickly learned that even if you had no money on your person, the city would accommodate you; it wanted you to stay.
Putting on a friendly grin, Dexter approached the beggar, stopping a few feet away. "You live here?" he asked the man, motioning toward the cardboard box.

He paused.
"And it's Vincent. Don't forget it, 'kay?"

He let out a small chuckle, "No, really, get up, I'll show you if you want."

"What's the catch?"

Dexter took a quick look around him to get his barings, then pointed to the very tall apartment buildings.
"Pick one, any one..."

"I dunno," Vincent said at length. He gestured to the eleventh building. "That one's okay, I guess."

"The apartments come prefurnished, so you'll get a matress to sleep on tonight." he mentioned, "How long have you been here?"
