Sitting beside his warped, weathered cardboard box, Vincent apathetically shook his small tin soup can around.

"Spare some change!" He spoke impatiently over the sound of coins jingling about in the cup. "Alms for the poor and all that."

He leaned back, holding the can with one hand.

"Come on! I'm not doing this for my personal enjoyment, you know!"

Growing tired of dark alley-ways and shady faces, Dexter had made his way to a more populated street. Though he had planned on some simple window-shopping or a possible stop at a deli, something else grabbed his attention.

He searched his pocket. That was right, he had come to the city penniless himself, but quickly learned that even if you had no money on your person, the city would accommodate you; it wanted you to stay.

Putting on a friendly grin, Dexter approached the beggar, stopping a few feet away. "You live here?" he asked the man, motioning toward the cardboard box.

"You know," Dexter commented. "There are some nicer cardboard boxes located around the town that won't cost you a penny more." He was refering, of course, to the appartments.

"I'm Dexter, by the way," he mentioned.

"Oh, but I won't" Dexter said in response.

He let out a small chuckle, "No, really, get up, I'll show you if you want."

"I don't have to listen to you beg for change anymore."

Dexter took a quick look around him to get his barings, then pointed to the very tall apartment buildings.
"Pick one, any one..."

"That's all that matters," he said, then looked over to building 11. "That's the one, then? Alright." He headed in that direction, then looked back to make sure Vincent would follow.

"The apartments come prefurnished, so you'll get a matress to sleep on tonight." he mentioned, "How long have you been here?"

Dexter raised an eyebrow. "Did you know they accept all forms of payment here or do you actually enjoy living on the streets?" he asked, amused.
