Summary; After hearing that Merry was going to do lessons today Ran decides they should sneak away to go shopping.

Ran was waiting outside the Opera House for Merry. The poor thing had been made to do lessons by her brother. How BORING! Ran had to do something about this. No friend if hers was going to be doing “lessons” when there was shopping to do. She wondered how good Merry was at escaping.

As stealthily as her long dress allowed her to, Merry snuck through the hallways of the Opera Abandoned. She had so far successfully escaped Cain's sharp attention and intended to keep it that way. Doing fun things was even better when someone told you not to.
Briefly, she remembered Cain's warning for her to be careful, but, hah, of course she would be!
With that, she walked down the rest of the Hallway that led to the Opera's entrance and exited, then proceeding to look around for Ran.

Ran spotted Merry before she spotted her and waved. “Hey Merry!” Ran ran over to the girl in her very tall platform shoes.
Her skirt was a very loud floral print that came about mid upper thigh. Her top looked like a corset, but with tinny pockets on the front. Jewelry was any place that she could put it while still not being too much. When she waved to the other girl her jewelry made noise.
Slowing down as she came to Merry she placed one of her hands on her hip. “Wow, that’s cool that you got out. You must be good at sneaking around.” Ran’s usual big smile graced her lips. “You ready to try out some new cloths?”

Merry heard a voice shout out for her, which of course belonged to Ran. It was accompanied by loud pattering on the strange, non-paved street. She turned around in the direction where the voice came from and was faced with a very unusually clothed girl. Merry could not help her eyes going a bit wide. Quickly, she gathered herself and answered. "Hello." In what she hoped was a stealthy manner, Merry furtherly examined Ran and her clothing.

"Well, normally Cain has eyes like a hawk, but it seems I got lucky.

"And, uh, I like my clothes. Though yours are certainly interesting."

Ran smiled. “Well you don’t have to try on cloths like myn. We could dress up like anything you want to. Hey, I will even put on a pretty dress like yours.” she winked and then looked around them. “Ok then, since your brother has hawk eyes let’s not linger here.” She started walking toward the shops. “I have been warned a lot about danger today lets let’s be safe, k?”

When Ran started to lead the way, Merry began to get excited. She hoped this would be fun. Once in a while, she wanted to indulge herself into womanly things, and Cain, being a man (even though a very well-clad one), wasn't exactly the best companion for that.
"Yes, Cain told me about that. We'll just be careful."

“yep yep” Ran keept walking. She was happy to see that Cain’s sister was not as stuffy as he was.

“So Merry, Cain told me a little about yourself, but why don’t you tell me more?” she crossed her arms behind her head in a relaxed manner, and grinned. “lets have some girl talk.”

"Girl talk, huh?" Merry made big eyes. She'd never really done such a thing before, always being surrounded either by men or women she couldn't really confide in, except for her mother. Well, maybe with the exception of Justine, but it wasn't really anything she remembered fondly.

Merry pondered what of herself she could or should tell Ran.

"Uhm. About me?" Then she paused. "Well, what is it that Cain told you about me?"

Ran laughed, “Well that you are dear to him and his little sister and he wanted to protect you at all cost. I think that’s really cool, but a girls gotta get out, you know? Just like this!” Ran gave a little jump into the air, she really id love to be alive.

Ran started to walk backwards so she could look at Merry. “My life is about having fun and being myself. I play Para-para; that is a dancing game; and hang out with my friends. I don’t care what others think about me as long as I am living my life!” Ran grinned. “So, that’s some about me, tell me some about you Merry.”

Merry grinned as she heard Ran talking about herself. "That's a good way to live!" She was really getting some amusement out of this, so sneaking out did pay off after all. Even if Cain would lecture her later, which she could count on.

"Well, I... hm. I'm a fortune teller, and I lived on the streets for some time. I actually hated Cain at first, but then he took me in and it was all good. He's very dear to me as well. Now I mostly study because he says so - and well, I know education is important - and sometimes get tangled up in his messes... but other than that, it's okay."

That would have to be a sufficient amount of information for now.

Ran’s eyes went big at hearing that she was a fortune tell. “WoW! That is really cool Merry! Could you tell my fortune later? That should be a lot of fun!”

Turning back around to walk beside Merry again she sighed. “Growing up in the streets? That sucks Merry, but I am glad that Can and you found each other.” she winked at Merry. “It’s so much better to have family. You know, in some ways, you remind me of my little sister Sayo.” a kind smile crossed her face as she thought about her family, looking forward as she reminisced. “I have an older brother named Yamato as well. So I know a little bit of what you are going through with Cain.”

Merry frowned a little when she was asked to tell Ran's fortune. "... I would, but I'm afraid I don't have my cards with me. And, uh... my telling's gotten inaccurate lately."

She watched as Ran walked backwards and turned around, wondering how she could move so well in those strange shoes. "Well, I got along. I had a... friend." The thought of Eric saddened her a bit, but she refused to let it have an impact on her mood. "You're right, I'm happy being with Cain now. He has his shortcomings, but all in all I wouldn't want to have anyone else for a big brother."

Ran nodded in agreement. "Yeah, having a big brother is really cool."

It was not a very long walk to the first store that Ran wanted to take Merry too. It was full of old Victorian cloths. She was thinking that Merry would like to see something familiar before trying on a tank top or a pair of pants.

"How dose this place look?" Opening the door for Merry she gave a playful bow; "Why my lady, please will you do me the honor of entering this fine establishment before me?"; before looking up and winking at her.

To say the least, Merry was surprised at seeing the familiar clothes in the shop Ran took her to. Although she had really wanted to see new things - but then again, she figured she could use a few new clothes she would actually wear, seeing as she could not imagine herself viewing something like what Ran wore now.
She nodded at Ran and entered.

"Thank you. I guess I could use some new clothes, so it's good to know there's a store like this."

“Really? I guess people here don’t go shopping much, you are the second person to say they were surprised that I was able to find a certain clothing store.”

Walking in behind, Ran looked at the cloths with a stand off glance. “Well I thought going to a store that you would have cloths you would be familiar with would be a good place to start.” giving Merry a peace sigh she grinned. “Hey, you might even find a dress that I can wear. We can surprise Cain with it one day, dress me up.”

"Maybe they don't. Me, I usually don't go clothesshopping much, no", Merry answered, staring wide-eyedly at the sign Ran made with her fingers, which was entirely unfamiliar to her. She didn't think further upon it, however, and began investigating the clothes. "If you'd like to put on a dress like this, of course you can."
